The Rebalancing Shampoo reduces the formation of sebum and thus cleanses the scalp. The product of Davines thus ensures a healthy appearance of the hair and strengthens the deep structure. Direction of use Apply a hazelnut-sized amount carefully in wet hair, leave it shortly to act on the hair and finally wash it out thoroughly. For very oily hair an intensive treatment is recommended. Meaning that for a time span of more than four weeks, the shampoo should be used three times a week. For the basic care it can, however, be applied over a period of two months twice a week - best would be to alternate with the Well-Being Shampoo of the same care line by Davines. Result Normalizes sebum production keeping the scalp clean.

My daughter and I both started using this Rebalancing shampoo a few months ago. It was working well for both of us (a teen and a woman in her forties). I loved the therapeutic smell and was just very happy all around to have found something that works so well. So a couple weeks ago I needed to stock up again and ordered three bottles. The bottles that arrived do not have the therapeutic smell I love but rather smell like laundry detergent. In the shower it did not feel good on my hair as it had before and did not rinse out nicely. My hair still felt unwashed. After communicating back and forth with customer service I learned that Rebalancing shampoo was reformulated in 2021 and sadly these bottles with the terrible smell and feel are the new formula. I've struggled to find a shampoo that doesn't dry out my scalp and cause flaky, itchy discomfort. This is the first one I've found that's a very gentle cleanse. My scalp loves this shampoo. Although my hair does still get oily a day later (I generally have to wash my hair every day or every other day), *sigh* I'd recommend this for itchy, dry scalps instead of oily scalps. I do wish they'd sell it in a bigger size, as I have to use quite a bit of this shampoo to properly cleanse my entire head. So just be aware that you'll probably have to use a decent amount if you have thicker hair.

Was recommended this by a stylist for “rebalancing” my oil scalp. I did the whole process of starting slow (washing hair every other day) and then building. After three months, I got to washing my hair every three days, but my hair was just dripping in oil and dry shampoo and I just couldn’t do it anymore. This stuff did absolutely nothing to change my scalp. Has a (nice) medicine smell to it, but it didn’t lather well and I had to use A LOT to get it to cover my scalp. Will not be buying again.

I loved this shampoo when I bought it before!! It cleaned my hair perfectly and had a darker color to it. This bottle I just purchased though, feels as though it’s a new formula. It feels it doesn’t clean my hair as well, it’s lighter in color and a little more watery in texture. Maybe I got a bad bottle? But, not what I expected after my first perfect bottle unfortunately.
Best formula for my oily scalp and dry endsThis is the first shampoo I’ve used that’s managed to control my oily roots and not dry out the ends of my hair. I use the product primarily on my scalp. My only concern is the scent. I have a strong sense of smell, and while the scent is pleasant at first, it’s pretty heavy- it’s a sweet flowery smell mixed with a cinnamon scent. I prefer that products have less scent because everyone has different preferences. It’s almost overwhelming to the point that I don’t want to use the product. Otherwise, it’s the most effective product I’ve used and I’ll confuse to use it.
I used this shampoo 3 times a week for 6 weeks straight in the spring. I've seen reviews online that it helped some people transition from washing their hair daily to every other day. But I was washing mine every other day to begin with. I found I could go longer without washing if I let my hair air dry and avoided adding oils or using hot tools. I continue to use this shampoo on and off when there's more buildup than usual because it makes my hair and scalp feel squeaky clean right after washing.
While the shampoo did give me probably another 12 hours (half a day) with less oil on my scalp. I didn’t love it. It’s quite drying on the hair and doesn’t lather well if you have product in your hair. Have to double wash to get lather or a clean feeling to your hair.
Love this shampoo! I’ve used them all! Colour Wow, Olaplex and Ouai and felt nothing left my hair clean and was oily within a day! This is just fantastic! Hair looks shiny and healthy
My hair had suddenly started to go limp and nothing seemed to work on it until I tried this shampoo. I have slightly oily roots but didn't want anything too aggressive that might affect the colour. This shampoo is true to its promise and has put the bounce back into my hair. Will be repurchasing when it runs out!
