Had never used SM Pro Audio gear before and after reading the specs that I found clearly on the B&H website I decided to get a couple of DI boxes and it turns out it was a great decision. The product performed as promised with extremely low noise. It's rugged enough to take on the road with nice corner bumpers. The only drawback is I'd love to get one with a different finish instead of the polished aluminum but for me at least that is not a deal breaker.

Works great and built like a tank. It's an active box so anything I run thru it sounds great. The attenuation switch is a must have for taming extremely hot incoming signals. If you are looking for a an active DI box with loads of connectivity, this is a steal.
I ordered the above DI but got a completely different one, just waiting for the right one to be delivered and then I can send the other one back

I use this DI box for my keyboard. It makes sound being clearer.
I was looking for a no-frills active DI that would be reliable and functional for connecting my P-bass into the house sound system. Love the option of phantom power source and battery indicator lights. Not crazy about the awkard 9 volt battery installation, but only have to do it infrequently, so not a real drawback. The ground lift switch worked perfectly to eliminate the disturbing ground loop buzz on initial hookup. Just used for the first time, but so far, so good!
