If I had to make a criticism it was that the first day I used them my feet were a little sore and I did develop a small hot spot on my front foot heel however within a solid day of riding they had broken in and the hot spot has not returned since then. Awesome boots! firm but comfortable with a great liner!

These boots fit true to size and are maybe a BIT snug in the toe but not enough where I would recommend sizing up. I would recommend getting the shoe size you normally wear. The liner (DC White) is my favorite part of the boot so far. very easy to get the bottom part of the liner tight and also higher up the calf has a wrap around strap that helps keep your foot stable. The BOA system works really well and I love being able to tight them on the fly. Haven't tried them out in the park but they perform really well in deep powder and on fast paced groomers as well.Pretty firm boot overall but still comfortable enough to wear all day with 0 breaks. they may be a ... Morei've worn them 4 or 5 times now so I can't speak to their durability yet but so far I am very impressed. I typically board in warmer temperatures and my feet don't get overly warm and the few times I wore them in 20 F I noticed my toes would get cold.

Be careful, these run small.

I ordered a few different pairs (11, 11.5, and 12) to find the one that matched my foot size. I ended up thinking the 12 (same as my shoe size) was correct. There was some contact between my big toe and the end of the toe box, but my internet research (we have 0 local shop resources here in central NC) told me that was normal. However, after a few rides these boots are still murdering my big toes! They feel like torture devices by mid day on the hill. These boots must run small, and I wish I knew that back when I ordered. Aside from that, they seem to be good quality and they look great.

Comfy boot and the BOA is great!
9 January 2023

My first boots after switching from skis so nothing to compare to, but these boots are really nice. I love the BOA system and they're mostly really comfortable. I unfortunately got them a half size too big so once the liner packed in the slop gives me a few pressure points, but I can't tell if that's just a sizing issue or the boot.I liked them enough to buy another pair in the right size this time.

This is my first set of really nice boots. My first few times boarding I've always rented and having to lace my boots was kind of a drag. My first pair of boots I bought for myself had a BOA lacing system, but it wasn't BOA branded. Better, but didn't hold on to my feet whenever I leaned forward and the BOAs didn't tighten enough to hold my feet in. I absolutely love these DCs and the dual zone BOAs just hug my feet. The ankle hugging shape in the liners locks me in and it feels awesome. Doesn't take long to break in, but still feels like the quality will last forever.

Good boot. Comfy out of the box
3 January 2023

Very comfortable out of the box with a mid stiffness. I’d say a 5.5/10 in flex. I get a little bit of calf bite with these but I’m sure that’ll go away once they’re broken in. Nice boots. Overall build seems like it’ll last. Fits a tiny bit small. I’m usually tight but riding in a 10 and too loose in a 10.5 but with these the 10.5 fits snug and tight. So consider a half size up if you’re in between sizes.

Great looking Step On Boots with compromised BOA system
15 March 2021

DC Control Boa Step On Snowboard Boots are the best looking Step On boots for the season in my opinion. Nevertheless, the dual zone BOA coiler doesn't seem to work very well. The boots outsole is identical with Burton Step on boots offering. The boots upper however, is uniquely DC and looks more sporty and hip. The overall fit and the lining is identical with DC Control BOA non step on.The problem with this boots lies on the dual zone BOA system that doesn't tighten very well compared to Burton boots. It took incredible amount of effort to twist the coilers and the metal wire is digging against the boots material. Despite that, the boots do not feel as snug and secure as a conventional boots with dual zone BOA system (e.g. Non step on DC Judge is easily far more ... MoreDC Control Boa Step On Snowboard Boots are the best looking Step On boots for the season in my opinion. SOOO Comfy

I was very impressed with these boots. I read reviews and watched videos that said they are super comfy...and I can confirm that they are! I love the dual Boa system. It allows for the perfect combination of tightness and comfort without sacrificing performance. Snapping in and stepping out is so easy. They say they are a medium stiffness but I think they are more on the stiffer side of medium. That may change after they are broken in. The material seems very durable and high quality. Overall, I would totally recommend these boots!

Way more comfortable than the Burton Photons! Worth every $
11 December 2020

I have had 2 different sets of Burton Step-on boots - the Photons and Raiders. Both produced hot spots (pain points) on outside of foot within about 2 hours of straight riding. These DCs do not produce hot spots!!!Make sure to order these 1/2 to 1 whole size bigger. Burtons runs small and so do these - I am a 9.5 to 10 in most shoes - I ordered 10.5 to be safe and they fit perfect! These boots are a bit wider than the Burtons especially in the front of boot where is counts with step-ons.They do take about 4-6 hours to beak in and start feeling real Koosh!Rode them for 4 hours straight (no break/rest) and did NOT get hot sports on outside of foot!!!Thanks DC for doing what burton could not, make a boot for step-ons bindings that does not produce hot sports ... MoreI have had 2 different sets of Burton Step-on boots - the Photons and Raiders.
