Bought this in the Christmas sale, love the Italian style, the milk wand does work (ignore the below review). It just takes some practice and angling of the jug to get the milk moving. I also bought a grinder so i can experiment with the grind levels to get better results. If you want a quick easy coffee get a pod based machine. If you want to start learning the finer craft of coffee making this is a great starting point. Also have not noticed any kind of rubbery taste as mentioned in another review.

Did a lot of research before buying this machine. Fantastic looks and finish and to be fair brewed a decent espresso. However the steam wand stopped working on the second day. Will be trying a replacement machine (when they're back in stock) however every machine I've read about seems to have issues with steam wands, which is a problem when you want to make cappuccinos! Disappointing. PS the instructions are confusing and useless - use the YouTube guides instead.

Was really looking forward to getting this machine and was lead to believe it was made in Italy. Of course there was a familiar 'made in China' stamp on the box when it arrived... Works ok but the part where you compact the coffee and the hot water goes through under high pressure has some really cheap black plastic inside, which has an unpleasant chemical smell even after over a year of daily use. I worry about its impact on mine and my family's health every time I make coffee.

I was very disappointed to notice that after making our first coffees (2) the drip tray was scratched and looked a real mess. What will it look like in a months time. The stainless steel must be a very poor quality for this to happen when we have only made two cups of coffee! On inspecting the machine more closely, there were areas that were cheap looking and not finished off to a good standard. We like our coffee hot, even after following instructions to 'up' the temperature, it was still not hot enough :-(
We bought this machine to replace an ancient one, still functioning but not as well as it used to. We wanted one that used ground coffee and I did a great deal of research before deciding for this model, and we do not regret the choice we made. It makes a delicious espresso, with a thick crema on top. After learning how to adjust its functioning to satisfy our needs it is working very well indeed. The instructions are very clear, helping adjusting the level of strength of one's espresso, and the milk frothing works very well.
Took a few weeks to adjust to the new machine, but now love it. I only wish there was a visual way to see how far it is from reaching the right temperature like we had with previous machine, as it is have to wait for buttons to stop blinking. You can even adjust a few things via settings like temperature of water but only have 3 options which is fine for us. Overall I enjoy the machine
I think once you figure out the settings menu, temp, hardness of H20 and auto shut off. Grounding your own beans to right grind, 14gs for this 51 MM portafilter it makes a great espresso. I would recommend looking at some ytube vids on mods and recommendations for this unit or making espresso in general can help. Overall I am satisfied with the machine.
I am really pleased I picked this coffee machine . It is fairly easy to use and makes great tasting coffee The steam wand works very well and provides nice milk foam for coffee or just a hot milk before bed. The temperature can be adjusted which is great for me as I like my coffee hot. The upper drip tray section can be removed. so you can use a larger mug or cup if needed. I found it easy to clean and it looks good on the worktop without taking up too much space. Excellent!
This coffee machine was bought to replace a cheaper de Longhi (which didn't last long before it started leaking again) so we thought we'd upgrade in the Christmas sale. I really like that it's much quieter than the previous one and easier to fill with a clear reservoir. The main problem is putting the coffee holder in and removing it. You have to have quite a lot of strength in your arm and shoulder to get it in tightly. You have to remove it straight after making, otherwise the cup stays attached to the boiler, which you then have to remove manually and then fix back in to the holder, which is spring loaded so not very easy. The other coffee machine also had a clip that you folded over the edge of the cup to stop it falling out when you bashed out the coffee puck ... Easy but lengthy time to descale. We like a coffee with crema, rather than black espresso so wouldn't buy this machine again as coffee doesn't seem to taste as nice, so glad I bought it at a reduced price. On the bright side it doesn't seem to leak water from underneath the machine.
Absolutely love this espresso machine. The handle part is a bit snug and takes some strong arming to get in and out and lined up properly. I'm hopeful it will loosen over time. Espresso comes out perfect every time. Still figuring out the steam wand. Have drastically cut down visiting a certain coffee shop since this purchase.
