As a person who spends a minimum 1 to 2 hours on court all day, I have to say these shoes are great value . Comfortable, decent support all around. Adequate side and frontal protection for those who have intense footwork motion while in game.My only negative is that the threads of the soles are fairly shallow, and you can notice it wearing down approximately 5 to 6 hours of court time.

Look like good sneakers, comfortable, feet do not sweat. But after 2 months there were holes in the soles, although I only used it on the court 3 times a week. I advise

I play tennis 2-4 hours per week, at an intermediate level. These shoes have been painful to wear since day 1; too much pressure on the achilles heel and I now have a tendonitis. I have never had this issue with other shoes and my practice of tennis has not changed.I do not recommend these shoes at all. Also, their quality is subpar, and it's clear that they will not last long. Very disappointed by Decathlon. I would return them if I could.

I was very excited about this shoes as it is my 3rd Artengo shoes, after literally killing the TS130 and the TS860 until even having holes in the sole. But after one match with the TS990 I finished with an incredible pain in my exterior mid-foot that lasted for more than one day. I tried to walk with them and after 10 minutes the pain is back. I think the exterior mid-foot sole is too high causing a lot of pressure in an area of the foot that use to be more flat in my previous Artengos. I really will try to return these as is not possible for me to play with them.
Earlier used to use Nike as they came with a slightly wider toe area. Purchased these shoes for the first time. Initially purchased shoes as per size chart and feet length but the shoe size mentioned is for regular sized feet, not wide feet. Returned those and got a size larger. Still felt that it was a bit snug. However on using on the court they felt great and comfortable as I think theyopened up a bit. Great fit. Will update review after a month's use.
Artengo shoes have never been my top choice as they are always too narrow for my wide feet before this TS990. I had been wearing Nike Vapor during highschool and college years, then switched to Asics Solution Speed for more than a decade.Passed by the TKO store and attracted by this eye-catching bright orange shoes. Gave it a try and surprised it fit me well just like my Asics and I did not have any issue adapting to the new shoes. The Pebax midsole gives me extra bounce when I jump for my serve. An excellent lighter weight version of Asics Solution Speed. Had been wearing it for more than 10 hours of play, great support and cushioning.I personally like the orange version more, it is only available in TKO store though.
I would not call this shoe an all court shoe. It will not fit clay or artificial grass. You will end up slipping too much. However, for a hard court it is an awesome shoe. This is the first shoe in which the upper part still looks brand new but I have destroyed the sole. Usually I get holes in the upper but this time the sole is the first to surrender.Anyway. Great shoe. I would buy them again.
Great tennis shoe for all level, the sole absorbs strong impact shocks and it's very durable. Very nice and elegant design as well, a plus. Definitely recommend!
After watching the review on Tennis Spin I was intrigued to see if it lived up to the expectations. It totally did! It is on par with most high end shoes the professional players wear but on a budget friendly price. Worth more than it costs for sure! Would love to get a herringbone version of it when it comes out here in Australia.
I thought that being a bit more expensive the shoes would be better.... but unfortunately I found it too stiff it was strangling my feet.... and strangely I got blisters just above my Achilles heel. So I'd say that the orange and the dark blue pairs gave me a much better experience. As some have debunked the myth, it aint better just because its more expensive. No hard feelings.
