Deepcool AK400 CPU Cooler

The DeepCool AK400 is a highly compatible CPU cooler featuring a classic 4-pipe tower layout, a unique matrix fin design, and a powerful FDB fan. The AK400 offers excellent heat dissipation and a low noise level. With a thermal dissipation capacity of up to 220 W, the AK400 is the perfect choice for mainstream systems thanks to its exceptional cooling performance for CPUs. Four direct-touch copper heat pipes quickly and effectively transfer heat away from the processor, dissipating it through a single fin tower with a matrix array design. The powerful FDB fan maximizes airflow and static pressure as needed, intelligently reducing them for quiet efficiency. Installation is made easier with a robust all-metal mounting bracket and a quick five-step process.

As above, saw this cooler receive pretty good reviews on Youtube and I can confirm that it is stellar. I immediately saw improvements in CPU temps over the stock Wraith Stealth cooler. I don't hear it so it must be quiet. It was very easy to install. A quality item at a very good price. Highly recommended.

Paired with my Ryzen 5700x, working very well with idle temps around 40c and stress tests only around 70c (good air flow case, winter). Very good looking minimalistic design. Some budget coolers tend to look a bit cheap or ugly, but this cooler looks clean and minimalistic. Great if you don't want RGB on your cooler. Happy with this purchase. No need to spend more unless your CPU is a high-end power-hungry chip or you overclock.

I'm sure it would be great if it fit on my motherboard (ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard), however, it does not fit. The bracket the mounts to the top of the board is too wide and would not fit if your vrm has metal or cooling over it. You can try grinding 3 mm. of the vrm side but a big pain so i have to return.

I recently bought this to cool my i7 10700 and it is GREAT! It keeps the temps under 75C at all times even under heavy load. This works miles better than the stock coolers I can tell you that. I would definetly reccomend this to anyone who is on a tight budget and wants great performance.

Only got it recently because my Fractal Design 280mm water cooling has failed. I am not switching back to the aio which I've paid 4 times the price. Can't hear any noise while gaming, temps are great (5800X3D) playing games usually hoovers around 60 sometimes 70 in battlefield. On water temperature was better maybe by 2-4 degrees. I really don't see any point getting anything better than this. The only issue I have is the clearance with my vertically mounted GPU. If it could turn 90° and aim fan up/down it would be ultimate perfect cooler.

I installed this cooler on a Ryzen 5 5600x to replace the stock AMD cooler. The install was easy and didn't require the removal of the MB (The stand offs used are slim enough to grip firmly on the stock backplate pins to hold it in place) I ran Prime 95 for 30 mins with this cooler and the stock cooler. The AK400 was 22.7 °C cooler (Average) over the stock cooler under full CPU load and the average clock speed went from 3,710.2 MHz to 3,974.5 MHz. The stock cooler reached a maximum temp of 80.2 °C and the AK400 reach a max of 58.2 °C. The option to add an additional fan to the cooler is nice but not really required (It does come with additional fan clips) Thermal paste is pre-applied and I can confirm that it coats the CPU lid perfectly and provides full contact ... MoreI installed this cooler on a Ryzen 5 5600x to replace the stock AMD cooler. The fan noise from the cooler is non existent. It's a great cooler that looks nice and performs well.

Good Cooler! But one thing to consider...
18 July 2022

I used this in my first PC build ever, on a Ryzen 7 5700X. But the case I used was a Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh, and the cooling unit was so tall that the glass panel wouldn't close fully. A good cooler overall, but consider a shorter cooler that fits your case.

I was worried it wouldn't fit,
4 December 2022

And with a fan in the ceiling of my case it doesn't. Cooler Master's Haf Xb Evo might be big, but with a 200mm fan in the top it's not big enough. The associate that suggested this cooler was also wrong about it coming with thermal paste, so I'm glad we didn't listen to that part. Other than that snag, everything went together well and it does have the hardware to attach a second fan which is nice. Just a pity I had to take it out because of <5mm.

Pleasantly surprised

For $30 this thing delivers, the mounting process was little confusing(bc I didn't read the directions). Other than that this cooler is suprisignly shocking, it cooled my ryzen 7 7700x to keep Temps at around 40c idle and 80c at 100% usage, unless you're going to be stressing the cpu to 100% for hours at a time, this is the perfect cooling solution on a budget

Powerful little cooler, and quiet

A great little cooler, powerful and quiet.Just fits inside the mid tower VSK4000B case (only 185mm wide) with 4-5mm clearance. Perfect.
