Upgraded to this cooler from a Cryorig H7 cooler. The Cryorig struggled to cool Ryzen 5800X which is known to run hot. At 100% load, temperature reached 90C with high fan speed, very loud. But with this cooler, temp reaches about 80C and fans stay relatively quiet. And in intensive CPU games, only about 70 - 75C max, as opposed to 80 - 83C with Cryorig, while staying very quiet. Very impressive performance and the cooler is not as large as it seemed, especially compare the Noctua D15 of course. Mounting system is easy to use, albeit a bit fiddly, nice they included a long screwdriver though. Also, if you have GSkill Trident Z RAM, the front fan perfectly clears the top of the RAM.

Bought this after reading some online reviews across the net including Gamers Nexus. Cools a 5800x3d on B550i in a Lian Li TU150. CPU is kept cool and there's no noise issues. Very easy to install with decent instructions. Performance is great and it's 1/2 the price of an equivalent Noctua. Will probably replace 2 case fans with the Deepcool FK120 as I'm impressed with how well and quietly they work.Only issue to check is RAM clearance as cooler sits over the ram slots. No problem with Corsair LPX

Basic but it works

It can cool a higher end CPU for under $100. Not loud, even with the fans at full speed.That said, I stripped the mounting bracket screws while installing it. This was with the provided screwdriver - not power tools! If I ever have to take the cooler off, I probably won't be able to get it back on without replacement screws. Fans are clip on and can be safely removed if you need to move the PC by car. It is easy to put the fans on backwards, so double check this if the CPU is running hot.

Cools a Ryzen 9 7900X no problem

This is likely going to be my last air cooler, a final bastion of "the good old days" before I too switch to AIO water cooling like all the kids do. I am very happy that my last ride with air cooling was with this CPU cooler because it is a monster.It cools my Ryzen 9 7900X extremely well. AMD processors do a thing where they boost clock indefinitely, thus driving up the heat (even water cooling can't fix that), but this thing holds my CPU at about 60-65C at 4.7Ghz running Prime95 when I run the chip in Eco Mode (which turns off boost clock). The mounting system is very straightforward and you can remove a fan to get to the screws. However, I do wish the wrench that comes with it were about 2 inches longer. It also requires some pushing to get the screws seated, and when you push that hard on a motherboard, you always get nervous.Cons1. I'm getting the performance for the price 100%, but I do wish that maybe part of this thing lit up a little bit. Nothing ridiculous, but like maybe a lit up logo, or just a line of RGB lights or something small so the top left quadrant of my case wasn't entirely dark lol.Overall, I'm very happy with this thing. It's getting harder and harder to find good air coolers, and CPUs are getting more and more power hungry unless you drop them into an Eco Mode or something similar. I know by the time I build my next PC, it's gonna need something stronger than air.For now, though, this thing will cool any consumer-grade CPU that isn't wildly overclocked (although I do think it'll handle slight overclocks).

Excellent cooler

Just bought it last week and installed it today. It's so easy to install. Upgraded from the stock cooler of Ryzen 9 3900X. Everything was just OK with the stock cooler, until I compress a video with H.265. The CPU tempreture reached 95 oC and caused my computer to shut down automatically.DeepCool AK620 cools down the CPU nicely: about 45 oC idle and 80 oC doing H.265 compression. As for noise level, it's much quiter at load than the stock cooler at idle.Fortunately, I got Microcenter in Indianapolis. Even though it's still 2 hours driving, it is the sunshine in my life.

Generates unbearable dissonant noise

I bought this about a month ago and noticed that my computer was generating an extremely unpleasant hum while operating. After investigating, it's coming from the fans on this cooler. I'm not sure if the noise is being generated by them or due to a harmonic resonance between them, but I've looked up this issue and noticed that it's apparently fairly common with this unit - not everyone runs into it but there are a large number of complaints on reddit and elsewhere about this problem cropping up. It's absolutely enough of a problem to stay away from this cooler. Is it effective? Yes, it is definitely doing its job when it comes to keeping the cpu temperature down, but the noise is atrocious, and I wish I had bought something else.

Good Alternative to expensive Air CPU Coolers!

I purchased the AK620 to cool a 5800x3D for gaming and Production workloads. It is replacing a Noctua NH9 in a TU150. I was thinking about using a D15 originally but I have motherboard(x570itxTB3) VRM heatsink clearance concerns. The main reasons to upgrade was because the CPU was not boosting to its max of 4.5ghz (originally only 4.1) and to lower the noise. I can say that I am satisfied with the results (now max boost is 4.5 & noise is comparable to NH9 but the AK620 does not have the rapid “ramp up” noise of a smaller fan dealing with the same change in heat output). I did test using a single fan vs two and the temp & noise results are very close to where I can’t tell the difference. Mediocore at best

On the plus side, this cooler work with just about any CPU and is easy to install. All mounting hardware, thermal paste, and even a screwdriver are included.Unfortunately, there are many issues. This thing is humongous, and will consume all open space in your case. Build quality is very low - the cooling fins are easy to bend/break and the clips holding the fans in are difficult to release without damaging the fins. The fans are only quiet at their lowest speed.Finally - it's just doesn't cool well. Using this cooler on my Ryzen 5900x, the cpu was at 72C at 10% load. Pulling this out and putting the Wraith Prism from my old 2700x in it's place, and the cpu is now at 62C at 10% load.Don't waste your money.
