This monitor features an IPS (in-plane switching) panel. IPS technology combines two major advantages. On the one hand, it provides a very wide viewing angle, so that even several viewers can see the content effortlessly at the same time. Secondly, IPS technology ensures high color fidelity. Thus, this monitor is also suitable for more color-sensitive applications like image editing. Speakers are already integrated in this monitor. Thus, you do not need external speakers and save space on your desk. Save on awkward contortions: This monitor has an integrated USB hub. This means that suitable connection options for your peripheral devices and storage media are just a flick of the wrist away. Thanks to "FreeSync", this monitor can synchronize its frame rate with that of your compatible graphics card, so it minimizes input lags and avoids unsightly tearing effects. Unlike conventional solutions like "VSync", this technology does not require you to limit the frame rate.

The monitor arrived earlier than I expected, and was easy to setup. The only negative I would report is that it comes with only a USB-C cable, and I had to hike down to the office supplies store to pick up an HDMI to HDMI cable to hook it up to my 2014 model Mac Mini.I had actually forgotten until this morning that the monitor included speakers, which is great if you have a Mac Mini, as its internal speaker is pretty poor, and in my case would be located under the desk. So it was great to see the speaker connected via the HDMI cable, and all I had to do was to select it in preferences to have it work.I have two ageing Dell monitors that I use on other systems (one is over 10 years old) and I'm hopeful this monitor will be as reliable and long-lasting as they ... Good value for WFH monitorPros:- Great size for a WFH monitor if you're not looking for a monitor over 30".- Surprisingly good sound quality for 3W stereo speakers (for music, Zoom meetings, movies)- Wire organization built in.- USB-C to charge Macbook ProCons:- Figuring out how to install Dell Display Manager for Dell Easy Arrange - quick Google search, but would be helpful if Dell provided clear tips for this with purchase or product description- Improvements could be made to stability and easy pivot/tilt/rotation. Height adjustment can cause was the vertical support to jam / not feel secure

Monitor was easy to assemble (under 5 minutes) with clear instructions both written and graphic. The resolution is crisp and the monitor works seamlessly with my devices. Cords are minimal, keeping my office space clean. For someone who knows very little about technology, this has been a wonderful purchase, easy to use with no set up trouble or complicated directives. Has tremendously enhanced my study set-up. Not too bulky and designed tastefully.

As a 27" monitor, we like it just fine. The price was ok.We purchased this particular model because of the built-in speaker.I must say that I am somewhat disappointed with the sound quality of the speakers, though. They are very tinny sounding. It is very strong on the trebles and almost no bases.I am not a HiFi buff and do not go out of my way to buy expensive HiFi speakers. Average speakers generally work just fine for me. Most audio equipment these days over promote the base spectrum. But, these speakers seem to have no base at all.I have hearing loss. So, generally speaking, I almost always need extra treble over the bases. So for to blogs and podcasts which are primarily speech, these speakers are good. But we bought this monitor for my wife who does ... MoreAs a 27" monitor, we like it just fine. I don't want to constantly charge my laptop, but if I use the USB-C cable, it will constantly charge my laptop. I ended up having to buy an HDMI cable. The speaker didn't work occassionally and I had to reboot my laptop.I like the ability to adjust the height, and it is compatible with my MacBook.Do not use Purolator as the courier please - I stayed at home for the whole day to wait for the monitor to arrive - it said the delivery has arrived but I was not there to receive it, which is totally a lie - and sent the monitor to a random convenience store. I ended up having to bus to that store to pick up the monitor and bring back home - it took me an hour and the monitor is super heavy. Really frustrating.
I purchased this to accompany my Dell S2721DS (a monitor I've been very happy with) and my 2021 M1 Mac mini.I would have purchased another S2721DS, but the Mac mini can't output two HDMI signals without a dongle. So I have one monitor going through HDMI and this one going through USB-C.I regret the purchase.Although the two monitors are physically almost identical next to each other, their displays are anything but. This monitor has a distinct blue cast to it. I was able to use the Color settings in the built-in control panel (yuck) to adjust the blue level, and tried to calibrate it (to no avail) but the fact remains that this monitor doesn't look as good as the HDMI monitor. The whites are not white. It looks a bit dull, even at the same brightness and contrast levels.I've tried this monitor over HDMI, but I got the same results, so it's not a USB-C issue. Also, and this is probably the operating system's fault, but you can't adjust the brightness and volume of the monitors without extra software. Fortunately, open source software exists that helps in this regard. The built-in speaker is far from great, but it's better than the Mac mini's (terrible) speaker.I was told on another forum that it was my "fault" because I didn't choose a "professional level" Dell monitor...
I use it as a TV via an NVidia Shield, Switch, and also with a computer. Unlike a smart TV, it turns on very quickly and doesn't crash or need updates. Some small things make this monitor nice. It handles detecting which hdmi/USB-C source is active so that I don't have to manually switch, really ever. Whatever device is on will be what is output. The USB-C with USB hub works well. The color looks good to my untrained eyes. Bezel is thin. Viewing angle/height is easy to adjust. USB ports aren't in the most expected locations, but work well once you know where they are. It's a good general monitor for media and easily plugging in a computer. One negative is the speakers. One doesn't have high expectations for built in speakers, but they really are quite bad. Simple $20 external speakers will be a huge upgrade. It would make more sense to me for Dell to either not include speakers or give them slightly more power. My phone speakers are small, yet have better sound quality.
I bought this to have a portrait orientation for coding. The color is good enough for that, but not good enough for anything more serious. Really hard to get a clean white or grays that are neutral. I was surprised that - for a monitor that touts its nice rotation - the on-screen display cannot be rotated to be readable when in the portrait orientation. Given the other Dell monitors that have this basic ability, the OSD support on this model is below par.
Nice size, sharpness, easy to set up, generally great. However I bought two for dual use with my brand new precision 7560 docking station. They don't match in colour balance. Same month of manufacture (3 months ago, china) I swapped cables, ports, screens... definitely the monitors at fault. I was able to get them similar using the screen controls.Contacted support asking "Either one would be acceptable, but the difference is large. Is this normal? are these within your tolerances? should I just change the settings and accept this?" checked drivers etc. However support was dimwitted and did not answer the questions above, went into 'diagnostics checklist' mode. Long story short, they said 'which do you want to replace?' I said 'I want to keep the one that will ... MoreNice size, sharpness, easy to set up, generally great. I said 'I want to keep the one that will match the replacement you send' so we agreed I would get a replacement, check match, and return the dud. Then, predictably, the new screen was an even worse match with either. So I returned it.I am frankly amazed that (a) Dell has no process/procedure for this (b) such dimwits are on support.Much time wasted needlessly.Nice screens - apart from colour match.
Delievered on time, same as the expected date listed on the website. Very well built, no issue so far. The type C cable is a little stiff due to all the signal and power it has to carry, so needs to be careful when plugging and unplugging your laptop.Would like to see a more flexible type c cable around the connector to prevent damage to both the cable and the laptop type c port after long term plug and unplugging.A minor downside is that it only have 2 downstream type A usb port, would be nice to see the usual 4 downstream port design. Also it would be nice if the audio could be output to both the monitor's speaker and the line out simultaneously (or have option to select A, B or both)Looking forward to see Dell release a 27" or 32" QHD monitor with type C ...
