The Dell S2722DC surpassed my expectations. Keep in mind that I went from a Dell ST2210 purchased in 2009 to this. The ST2110 had no issues and has been great for the 14 yrs of service. I felt it was time for an upgrade with a larger screen. So glad I chose this 27-inch. The display is fantastic IMO. Such a huge difference; the color, clarity, and brightness is a big upgrade for me. I would definitely recommend this reasonably priced monitor to friends.

Good value for WFH monitorPros:- Great size for a WFH monitor if you're not looking for a monitor over 30".- Surprisingly good sound quality for 3W stereo speakers (for music, Zoom meetings, movies)- Wire organization built in.- USB-C to charge Macbook ProCons:- Figuring out how to install Dell Display Manager for Dell Easy Arrange - quick Google search, but would be helpful if Dell provided clear tips for this with purchase or product description- Improvements could be made to stability and easy pivot/tilt/rotation. Height adjustment can cause was the vertical support to jam / not feel secure

Average speakers generally work just fine for me. Most audio equipment these days over promote the base spectrum. But, these speakers seem to have no base at all.I have hearing loss. Good value, but not color accurate
7 January 2022

I purchased this to accompany my Dell S2721DS (a monitor I've been very happy with) and my 2021 M1 Mac mini.I would have purchased another S2721DS, but the Mac mini can't output two HDMI signals without a dongle. So I have one monitor going through HDMI and this one going through USB-C.I regret the purchase.Although the two monitors are physically almost identical next to each other, their displays are anything but. This monitor has a distinct blue cast to it. I was able to use the Color settings in the built-in control panel (yuck) to adjust the blue level, and tried to calibrate it (to no avail) but the fact remains that this monitor doesn't look as good as the HDMI monitor. The whites are not white. It looks a bit dull, even at the same brightness and contrast levels.I've tried this monitor over HDMI, but I got the same results, so it's not a USB-C issue. Also, and this is probably the operating system's fault, but you can't adjust the brightness and volume of the monitors without extra software. Fortunately, open source software exists that helps in this regard. The built-in speaker is far from great, but it's better than the Mac mini's (terrible) speaker.I was told on another forum that it was my "fault" because I didn't choose a "professional level" Dell monitor...

Great size and picture quality
1 September 2024

I chose this monitor to reduce the cables as it will charge my laptop via the USB C Cable while providing the connection to my laptop to view it. Geverally the picture quality is great, very clear and the screen size is perfect for my needs ufing my laptop. However, the monitir doesn't alway recognise the connection to my laptop. I have found the quickest way to initiate the connection is to remove the cable from my laptop and reconnect it. Not sure if it is the monitor or my laptop that causes this issue. The sound from the monitor isn't very clear during online meetings.

Need to check associated desktop capabilities
13 March 2024

Nothing really wrong with the monitor but care needs to be taken to ensure the ports on your desktop are capable of outputting video at a resolution that makes full use of the monitor's QHD capability. I have a brand new Inspiron 3020 but its USB C port only transfers data not video so can't be used and the HDMI port only transfers video to FHD quality. There is no Display port on the monitor which would have resolved the issue as the desktop's integrated graphics card (Intel UHD Graphics 770) is quite capable of QHD resolution. Come on Dell, wake up! Why is the desktop's USB C port not enabled for video? Why is its HDMI port restricted to FHD and why doesn't the monitor also have a Display port instead of two HDMI ports?

OK for the price
11 August 2024

OK monitor for the price. HATE the speakers, though. Sound points down into the desk, not at your ears so it always sounds bad. There is no separate dial to make the speakers louder/mute other than the controls within Windows. The video quality is ok but not fantastic. I tried the Dell U2724DE Monitor and the video quality on that was far superior to this monitor, but also lots more expensive. So, like I said, it is OK for the price. I'll wind up using headphones because I hate the integrated speakers.

USB Type 3 cable provided did not work with my new Dell XPS 8960.
15 April 2024

After plugging in and connecting the supplied cable from this monitor to my new Dell XPS 8660 desktop, the monitor gave me an error message stating that no signal was being received. After a while on the Dell help line they figured out that the XPS 8960 back panel port 6, a USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 Type-C port, "does NOT support video/audio streaming"! So I had to order an additional Display Port (DP) to HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable at my expense to use this monitor. The speakers are also very thin sounding so I had to order some Pebble X speakers.Otherwise the display is quite sharp and nice, but I could of gotten the same display without the speakers and USB-C connections and have fewer wires laying around. If I could exchange it I would.

USB-C should be Standard Equip., 2K 27" is Excellent for Office/Productivity. Sharp!

Excellent work monitor, this should be standard equipment for all offices, USB-C, eliminate the hub and mess of cables, this cleans the desk workspace, it's simplicity and smart, connects to my laptop with one cable providing video, USB peripherals (connected to monitor) and charging. 2K is perfect for Power BI and Other Apps, 27" is also exactly what I need, I find 32" and larger, their edges run away from me and requires too much eye/head movement and mouse travel, 27" is harmonious, even for multitasking. My 27" setup is much cleaner, feels healthier, and I simply prefer it (in my experience). I also previously had two 27" 1K monitors and this single 2K 27" is more effective.

Very well built, solid quality
5 December 2022

Delievered on time, same as the expected date listed on the website. Very well built, no issue so far. The type C cable is a little stiff due to all the signal and power it has to carry, so needs to be careful when plugging and unplugging your laptop.Would like to see a more flexible type c cable around the connector to prevent damage to both the cable and the laptop type c port after long term plug and unplugging.A minor downside is that it only have 2 downstream type A usb port, would be nice to see the usual 4 downstream port design. Also it would be nice if the audio could be output to both the monitor's speaker and the line out simultaneously (or have option to select A, B or both)Looking forward to see Dell release a 27" or 32" QHD monitor with type C ... MoreDelievered on time, same as the expected date listed on the website.
