Speakers are already integrated in this monitor. So you don't need external speakers and save space on your desk. The stand of this monitor allows very flexible adjustment options: Adjust the height of the monitor, tilt it down and up, swivel it to the left or right, or turn it 90° to portrait mode (pivot). The perfect monitor orientation for any sitting position or activity is just a flick of the wrist away. This monitor features an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel. IPS technology combines two great advantages. On the one hand, it provides a very wide viewing angle, so that even several viewers at the same time can see the content effortlessly. Secondly, IPS technology ensures high colour fidelity. This makes this monitor suitable for more colour-sensitive applications such as image editing. Save yourself unpleasant contortions: This monitor has an integrated USB hub. This means that suitable connection options for your peripheral devices and storage media are only a flick of the wrist away. Do your eyes a favour with this monitor. The flicker-free technology prevents annoying screen flickering, which has a tiring effect on the eyes over time. Not only unpleasant, but even harmful is short-wave blue light, which has a similar effect on the retina as UV radiation. This Dell monitor features ComfortView technology, which filters out this light component.

For instance, when comparing the displays side by side (*looking at thumbnails of a textbook pdf) I noticed that some high end screens are able to resolve smaller text. I purchased two monitors: 1 for DVI connection, 1 for VGA connection.Let me split this up into three separate sections:1) DVI PanelThe DVI one seems to be quite alright...the thin bezel is a pleasant change (going from a U2412M), but even the DVI panel seems to be awfully bright and has a hard time balancing out the colours. (oh, believe me, I know all about the various controls, the Custom RGB setups, etc.)2) VGA PanelNow, this is NOT even the problem/reason for me providing just a 2-star rating. The VGA connection is absolutely terrible. The built-in PHASE/CLOCK settings are not sufficient to remove the signal noise one can expect with the VGA connection (it is Analog after all). No, no amount of SHARPNESS adjustment the monitor provides you with can compensate. For those who are familiar with panel technology and understand the electronics this issue is indicative of poor component capabilities and/or poor design for signal handling). It is for this reason that I am extremely disappointed. The P2423 is a definite step DOWN from the older U2412M display, at a price level that is simply NOT justified.Dell,You need to fix this. Both my monitors (because I purchased two of them) show the same VGA behaviour, which is telling me this is not a "this monitor is bad" type of an issue. You have the wrong tech and/or components (cost savings I assume?) on the main PCB.I am considering returning both...haven't decided yet though...trying to find a reason to avoid doing so actually.3) Panel BacklightBoth panels show issues with panel brightness at the edge. Strangely enough it is NOT a typical light "bleed-through", instead the panels are both dim at the left & right edges. This of course affects the quality of the display, not just colours, but text rendering as well.I really did NOT expect to see this kind of a problem with a display at this price level.

In these days when everyone is videoconferencing at some time or another, your options are to use a laptop which usually has a built in camera and microphone, or a desktop and monitor which usually do NOT have those built in. Then you have to buy accessory equipment at extra cost. I specifically chose this monitor because it had a built-in camera and was pleased to find it also has a microphone. If you are concerned about privacy, the camera module (at center top of monitor) pops in and out at the press of a finger. When pressed down, the camera is inactive and has no view anyhow. It does require use of a second HDMI cable (included) to run the camera and microphone. The monitor picture is very adequate but not stellar. Perfectly adequate for all but the most ... It assembled in about 5 minutes.

Our University has just started looking into 4K monitors to provide as an option for employees, especially those in Marketing and Digital Media Arts. Something that could knock the P2719H and the P2722H out of the water and not break the bank. The P2723QE is such a lovely upgrade, comparing it to the older models. I'm so glad I got to test one of these for a few weeks.I spend numerous hours in front of the screen and the eye fatigue I was experiencing prior to the swap has been dramatically reduced. It's made my office work more enjoyable. I'm able to move the monitor closer, if needed, and I'm not experiencing any additional stress--very tough for me to see any graininess with essentially double the pixel density of the P2722H.My current setup is a MacBook Pro ... I'm able to move the monitor closer, if needed, and I'm not experiencing any additional stress--very tough for me to see any graininess with essentially double the pixel density of the P2722H.My current setup is a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) and this new P2723QE (2022) monitor and I'm regularly 3-4 feet from the display. The matte finish if great for harsh overhead and natural lighting--preferred over the MacBook Pro's glossy finish, honestly. The RJ45 connection works well--not something I'll really use, but it's nice that it turns this monitor into a simple docking station in case the one I'm currently using dies on me.

Only providing the review in hopes that this will help someone. Was very excited for this monitor and had got a good deal on it for black Friday weekend. The order arrived (December 27th) earlier than the promised date (January 3rd). The package was slightly damaged (shipped via FedEx) but nothing major. On setting up the monitor and connecting it to my desktop found that there was slight flickering of the screen in certain parts of the screen. Connected to my MacBook Pro (2021) instead and the same issue persisted. Contacted the customer care and they directed how to run the diagnostics and found that the Gray color on diagnostics was flickering while all the remaining colors were solid. Connected to my MacBook Pro (2021) instead and the same issue persisted. Contacted the customer care and they directed how to run the diagnostics and found that the Gray color on diagnostics was flickering while all the remaining colors were solid. I sent them the email with the pictures of the package( damage) and images with the flickering issue. They told they would send a replacement the following day and this time with UPS and to ship the original monitor back once I receive the replacement.Received the new monitor on January 3rd, found the same issue (package was intact). Noticed that the flickering is more on switching to the 'Night mode/reading mode' and on running the diagnostics the gray color still had the flickering (even when it was not connected to a desktop or MacBook). Sometimes when the page is static, the flickering diminishes but on scrolling down the page, it returns. There were also some residual after images of the wallpaper on opening a new window at the center of the screen sometimes. On contacting the support team, they told the only thing they could do was send another replacement as the diagnostics showed the gray color (which was supposed to be solid) was still flickering. Both the monitors I received had issues. I ended up returning both as I did not want to go through the hassle of another replacement if the issue persisted. Not sure if it is an issue with this particular model as there are other reviews suggesting similar experience but definitely expected better experience with Dell. Waiting on refund currently.
While it is a great monitor it didn't fit our needs. We were hoping to use this as an alternate solution to our other low availability Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitors. However, the benefits of the higher resolution weren't as beneficial when paired with the loss of screen size. Part of this could have been preempted if I had noticed the 23.8" screen size mentioned in the description. However, I missed that and the "Dell 24 Monitor" title paired with the "P2423D" model name was very misleading in expecting this to be a 24" monitor. While you think that .2" isn't much. It is on the diagonal and results in almost an inch lost to the height of the monitor. This entire monitor bezel and all can fit within the screen space of our current Ultrasharp 24". It is on the diagonal and results in almost an inch lost to the height of the monitor. This entire monitor bezel and all can fit within the screen space of our current Ultrasharp 24". Unboxing and setting up the monitor I instantly felt this loss in size. Placing the monitor next to our current 24" and the difference is stark. For those that are not worried about hitting a true 24" size then I can definitely recommend this monitor. It looks great and functions great with a crisp and clear display. Though do be aware that if you are coming from the Ultrasharp line of monitors, moving to the Professional line, expect differences in brightness/contrast/color/saturation. Individually the monitor looks great, but when side by side with our current Ultrasharp monitor the whites look more like greys and other colors don't pop nearly as nicely on the Ultrasharp. Though that was an expectation going into this as those are the selling points of getting an Ultrasharp panel.Pros:-Well made minimal design is attractive while not being too in your face about it. Great for fading into the background and letting you get your work done. The removal of the Dell branding from the front of the monitor makes for a sleek black finish that is unmarred by company logos.-While on the smaller side of my preference, the QuadHD resolution definitely gives back in the screen real estate space.-Has all the basic features needed for a quality daily driver monitor.Cons:-Not a true 24" monitor, while stated in the description, the name and model number can be misleading to allow you to assume that this is actually 24". The loss of that .2" diagonal is stark if used to full 24" or using it next to an actual 24".-Colors and brightness are not up to par with Ultrasharp monitors, but to be honest that was not a selling point. You will still get a great experience from this monitor and if those features are important then there is the Ultrasharp line for you.

I was beyond disappointed when I turned this on. I have always loved Dell monitors due to their color accuracy. This was purchased as a main new monitor and I was going to use my existing Dell 25" as my secondary side monitor. Wow was the color terrible out of the box. I then thought, okay, maybe it didn't get set correctly so I tried to change the settings but white always had a green or magenta tint to it and this monitor includes almost zero color settings beyond basics that old CRT monitors had. Needless to say I immediately shipped it back.If accurate color display isn't needed for basic computing stuff, this might be an okay monitor. I think Dell really dropped the ball on this design or they rushed it just to have an option and didn't care about the end ... MoreI was beyond disappointed when I turned this on.
