I tried to enable the Power Delivery Pass-Through via USB-C Power Adapter configuration detailed in the provided documentation. I connected my laptop charger to the USB-C Power Adapter from that mobile puck. Then connected the mobile puck to the USB-C adapter on my Dell laptop and started the laptop. Immediately I got a warning the mobile puck only delivers 15W but the laptop requires 64W to run.So the documentation showing power pass-through is false. You cannot use the mobile puck to power your laptop

Pretty satisfied with the purchase.

This Dell docking station is a very compact and handy piece of kit for connecting my Dell XPS laptop to the outside world. It expands one of the USB-C ports to give, for example, USB-A, USB-C, hdmi etc. The design ensures it takes up little space. This is my second one (my wife now uses the first) and I highly recommend it. No doubt there are cheaper alternatives but this is a robust, premium alternative.

Disappointing bit of kit. It has all the sockets that I wanted, but the USB C lead thta hoes into my laptop is too short and I will have to buy a USB c extension cable. I get an error message if I plug my USBc charger cable into it, so I still now charge my lovely Dell laptop separately. I have been able to use the HDMI socket succesfully to my external monitor and that works well. But I have to reboot the laptop if I plug in an external hard drive (USB3) through one of the two USB ports. Since I have 4 separate external hard drives that I might want to use in a session makes very hard work
The size and cable storage seemed to be a great idea but after a few weeks of use here are my findings.Pros:Supports 4K, small form factor, great for travelCons:Requires larger power supply, USB C cable to connect to laptop is too short, circular design means you will have cables pointing in all directions on your work surfaceSummary, its good to keep in your laptop bag for occasional use. The circular design offers no cable organization ability. Probably should be sold with a larger power supply as it decreases performance of your laptop2/10, will not recommend
Solid adaptor, really helpful for my XPS 13 laptop, which only has USB C.Cord is a bit short - doesn't need to be infinitely long, but can be really awkward getting things connected to the laptop with how short that cord is.Adaptor seems very picky as to what it will/won't connect with. Had a number of HDMI cables (was running a stream on the laptop and wanted to mirror it on the TV.) Had to try 3 different HDMI cables before the newest one worked. All cables are functional elsewhere, so unsure why they did not work with the adaptor.Otherwise a really handy little tool - I'd suggest maybe getting new cables if you need to plug into stuff - but since there are a lot more items with USB C, it's great and looks really nice.
It's compact which makes it ideal for business travel or when I'm not working at my home office. I'm a bit concerned that it gets warm with prolongue use, but i guess that's expected of a device for that facilitates connecting a monitor and allow for peripherals to be energized. I have not tried the Ethernet connection, which is the primary reason for my purchase in order to connect my Dell with no Ethernet port to my router via usb-C. I'm confident it will will work without problem.
The Multiport works flawlessly and is very compact for traveling. I use it to connect multiple devices and also program M2M modem we use in the field. I connect my computer using the USB C and then connect the Ethernet cable to the multiport and then to the modem. We also use the multiport to connect our computer to our video presentation system in the office.
I was skeptical; however this little hub has won me over. I love the way the cord stores in the bottom, the small size and how many ports it has. It really is necessary with the new Alienware laptops. They just don't have enough ports. I consider this to be a "must have".
Overpriced for what it is and 3 months late. For the sake of including a couple of sockets in the actual laptop, this hub wouldn't be necessary at all. In addition, it doesn't transfer power to the laptop unless a high-power USB-C supply is used. It could at least have had a power input that used the laptop power supply.
