Dell KM5221W Pro Wireless Keyboard and Mouse - Black

The keyboard is the main input peripheral used by all computers. The keyboard allows for user input and interaction with the computer. Much like many typewriters the keyboard has all the letters of the alphabet, numbers 0 – 9 and additional special operational keys, e.g. for adjusting the volume or going to your inbox directly. There are three different connection types: – USB is the most modern. You can recognize it by the rectangular connector. – PS/2 connectors are round. This type of connection is fairly commonly used by PC’s. – Bluetooth is another modern (wireless) connection method.

Dell Delivers a solid little unit.

Fantastic keyboard for the price. Solid, doesn’t move around and keys are a breeze to use with silent clicks. Lock Lights per numeric/capitals a little confusing but maybe it’s me - I didn’t read any of the guide that came with it. Mouse seems on the flimsy side, but I didn’t really want one. Overall highly recommend and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Great keyboard for the price.

Easy to use , worth buying

Its very easy to connect, the keyboard and mouse has one little receiver that goes in to the computer. Never had any connection issues. Both keyboard and nose have little switches so you can switch them off when not in use. It would be better if both peripherals could be attached to Bluetooth without any receiver and multi device connectivity would be great too.

Good value, works well.

This is my 2nd Dell kb/mouse combo. The 1st, bought 18 months ago, I use from the couch on the PC connected to smart TV. Sometimes the kb lags but that depends on where the PC is sitting. (5m away in a corner). Improving the position fixes this. 2nd I use with a desktop (PC sits on floor). No issues here. The kb is good, quiet soft keys. I'm not a gamer or IT guru so it does what I need. Mouse also, though a bit plasticky. I recommend decent batteries (supplied with Duracell so that's a good start). After burning through a lot of cheap batteries I now use re chargeables. Overall I'd recommend as for the price it is a decent combo.

Keyboard
6 March 2022

I get pain in my hand from working on the computer. The mouse & keyboard are comfortable to use. The mouse shape is nice for the pain in my palm/wrist. I used a mouse pad with a wrist pillow too and it is the the perfect combo! Happy with the purchase

Mouse was terrible
1 February 2023

Purchased to connect to my laptop. Loved the keyboard. The mouse: right click wouldn't work. It wouldn't click on tabs within an internet browser, I had to use keyboard shortcuts to go between open tabs. It wouldn't let me click on any applications on my main taskbar on my laptop. I followed Dell Support and un-synced it and as well as changed the battery. Will commend JBHFI as I had absolutely no issues with returning/exchanging it. 10 Stars for JBHIFI

Okay(ish) Budget wireless keyboard and mouse
15 January 2023

it servs the purpose for being wireless. but it has very limited feature. no keyboard backlit is one of them. after using it for a couple of weeks, the mouse scroll starts to squeak and it is very annoying. I would not recommend this product. might be better to spend the money on the next tier up which double the price of this one.

Prepare for low battery!!
15 June 2022

I bought this Dell wireless keyboard and mouse last Saturday, started using on Tuesday. the mouse buttons kept freezing. I had to turn it off and on so it would be up and running again. Then I found it was just that it came with low batteries. I thought it was up to "36 months battery life!". After I changed the battery it got better but the scrolling wheel that causes delayed. It's really annoying. Don't buy it!

Responsive and quiet

Great keyboard. Feels responsive to type on with the right amount of key travel and the fact that this keyboard is quieter than most makes it perfect for someone who doesn’t like the distraction of key sounds.

Terrible Glitchy Keyboard
26 March 2022

The keyboard started to malfunction after a month and the problems only increased in occurrence as time went on. The keyboard would randomly not action key presses or would action them multiple times. As an example you will type the word "keyboard" and it may come up as "keeeeeeeeebaaaaaaar" or "keord".

great short throw full size keyboard
24 September 2022

bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace my Logitech MK120 wired keyboard and Logitech M185 wireless keyboard. Initially I was looking for a wireless version of my Logitech keyboard, then a colleague recommended this Dell keyboard and mouse, he said he has been using them for years and buys them for his staff. So I bought this on his recommendation. So glad I bought this. I was happy with my Logitech set up, but wanted wireless just to make the desk tidier. Well the Dell set up is much nicer, it's quieter, and with shorter throw keys it feels faster. For me, the mouse is more of a natural angle, although my 9 year old son prefers another Logitech mouse, so your mileage may vary.My perfect keyboard would be flat, parallel with the desk like the Apple keyboards. ... Morebought this a couple of weeks ago to replace my Logitech MK120 wired keyboard and Logitech M185 wireless keyboard.
