This is an entry level laptop on all angles! I definitely do not recommend this laptop for anyone seeking a budget gaming laptop. Look elsewhere! I feel that this laptop is not as good as the other in the 3000 line up and can't be compared the 5000 line either. The look isn't different from all other Dell laptops but the feel of it is horrible, I have to say that Dell has gone cheap, almost as if the case of the laptop was 3D printed with bad resolution in-house. You are severely limited with the USB connections and to question its battery life and performance, in my opinion is very poor compare to the 5000 line.I cannot recommend this specific model to anyone other than a student, who is not involved in Multimedia design or anything related to the computer gaming ... MoreThis is an entry level laptop on all angles! This notebook was shipped fast and arrived quicker. We ordered about 50 at one time for our business. After we booted it up for the first time we initially panicked because the track pad did not work, and I had trouble getting thru the Win10 setup screens. We then plugged a wireless mouse into it and was able to navigate the setup screens. Win10 need a TON of updating which took a very long time. Track pad started working after updates. Now that the machine is fully updated, I am extremely pleased with this laptop. The SSD boots into Windows very fast. The WIFI works great. 16GB of ram is perfect for what we need it for. The battery performs like new and holds a charge for a very long time. Our users use it and doesn't need more hard drive space because we are ... MoreThis notebook was shipped fast and arrived quicker. We ordered about 50 at one time for our business. The SSD still shows about over 200gb of free space. At this price point you can't go wrong.

I had a much older, heavier Dell laptop and this was a definite upgrade. It is lighter, sleeker and Windows 11 was an easy transition. The laptop design and feel has evolved into a user friendly, app oriented device. Although the touch screen monitor wasn't a requirement for me, it's a great feature that is easy to incorporate into daily use. The hardest thing to get used to has been right/left clicking which right where you expect it to be, but without dedicated buttons. In theory it shouldn't matter, but as I navigate, I still find myself feeling for the seam between right/left click buttons.

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a Dell Latitude 3540 laptop for a client, and I must say it left a lasting impression. It's worth noting that our client was pleasantly surprised by the expedited delivery, receiving their laptop faster than anticipated was a great bonus. The streamlined setup process made it exceptionally easy for them to start utilizing the laptops promptly, too.I would like to extend my appreciation to our dedicated sales representative. Her exceptional professionalism and expertise greatly contributed to the overall positive experience. The prompt and knowledgeable support from Dell made the purchasing process smooth and efficient.
The laptop is good, works great, perfect condition, nothing wrong. I am a little disappointed that a laptop I bought like 8-10 years ago is higher quality than this one though. This one feels a little cheap, which is a disappointment because of how much I paid for it. But it works and nothings wrong with it so there’s that.
I ordered this to replace an older Dell Latitude that I loved and had spilled coffee on. I am so glad I did. It is not only everything I remember loving about my previous Dell Latitude but even better. The computer is lighter with the same size screen and the feel of the keyboard is wonderful. The only negative may be that it does not have a built in DVD but I really do not use it that much and I have an external DVD that I can plug in when needed.
The new Latitude 5440 is exactly what I have come to expect from Dell. Its a solid laptop, good build quality, same chassis as the previous 5430. Looks and feels like a mainstream Corporate computer. Not going to win any beauty contests, but it gets the job done. I was able to review a 3000 series last week as well, and the 5000 is definitely a step up in appearance and materials.
This is a direct replacement to the Latitude 5430. After spending some time comparing the differences between this new model and the previous two Latitude models 5420 and 5430; there is no major difference. The same external look and almost the same weight. On this model Dell opted to eliminate the additional USB-A port, but failed to add an additional USB-C port.Performance and battery life is not much different and the 13th generation i5 and i7 are very close with the i7 using much more energy for a slight negligible increase in speed. You can get this unit with the DD5 memory configuration which will make this machine stand tall compare to its predecessors at a much higher price for a low-tier laptop. This is laptop that will meet almost all of your business ... MoreThis is a direct replacement to the Latitude 5430. This is laptop that will meet almost all of your business requirements with security and reliability, but I want to express that this is not a gaming laptop! You want to look elsewhere for a gaming laptop like the XPS or Alienware configuration.
The new Latitude 5440 is the right mix of power, quality, and portability. I love that it's still available with an onboard NIC. I do wish that it had a 16:10 screen like its bigger brother, the 7440... but the 16:9 is still the standard so I can't knock it too much for that. The build quality is very good. The hinges are exceptionally sturdy, and it fits perfectly into any bag I grab on my way out the door.
The 5440 is the perfect unit for a very solid mid-range performance and spec. 13th gen i5 and 16GB RAM, little more is needed. Graphics work well for the intended use this unit was purchased for which is making marketing material and social media content and heavy multi-tasking. Dell have done a great job with this updated 5 series/range.
