The tool-less monitor setup was a breeze. Plugging the MacBookPro into the monitor the first time didn’t work. It took a few rounds up unplugging, rebooting and turning off before everything worked seamlessly. There seems to be some configuration issue with making the display the main desktop. When I do that, I can see some “banding” in the desktop background that isn’t there when the display is used as in “extended” mode. I can’t see it on other backgrounds, e.g. writing in Word, so who knows what that is.Overall, this is a no brainer for anyone who wants a 24” single connection display that supports multiple USB-A connections for older equipment. I suspect the lack of USB-C ports will bite me in the future, but this fits my needs today.

This is an excellent 24 inch working from home USB monitor. I run my laptop into it, keyboard, mouse, and webcam all into it and they all interface to my laptop while charging my laptop through a single USB C cable. Dell Monitors are top notch in my experience for productivity. While sometimes they might not be as low priced as other brands I've had so many Dell monitors at work that last and last and last, while other brands have issues or fail. I've recently tried some other brands for my personal gaming and computing work and I'm disappointed in their quality control.

Within minutes of setting up this new monitor I encountered a problem — I wasn’t getting picture from my laptop but I could see the battery icon showing energy transfer. After nearly of a week, my feelings of anticipation culminated in deception. But I did a quick search and it turns out that not all USB-C cables work with every company’s tech. I unplugged the brand new, crisp-white charging cable that came in the box with my MacBook the day before, connected the MacBook with the Dell-provided USB-C cable and voila, it worked. Since I’m doing 75% of my computer-related work from home for now, I haven’t used the portable charging cable or adapter that came with the Mac... not even once. Dell P2419HC is all I’m using. I ordered two P2419HC monitors. Both are good and they get the job done. However, I have two minor complaints. When both monitors are adjusted to the tallest height there is a one inch difference between them. Also, the brightness between the two monitors is slightly different when using the same setting and regardless of which cord I use. I noticed this when I started a new email on both screens (bright white next to bright white). I ordered a third monitor in case one of the original two was a lemon. I had the same experience regardless of which two monitors I used. The best combination still had a 1/2 inch height difference.I was excited when I ordered these monitors. Great monitor. Looks really good. The extremely sharp bezel is very clean looking. The only thing I would say is if you get a webcam that sits on the monitor it will block the small part of the screen it sits on. I just got a adjustable webcam mount that holds the camera just behind my monitor. I bought two which they are so easy to connect via daisy chain. The USB-C is so convenient as you just connect that to your monitor and it connects the displays and also charges your laptop. Highly recommend this monitor.
The Dell 24 USB-C Monitor is an exceptional quality 'work horse' monitor at a reasonable price. I use an array of 8 identical 24's for a Civil Engineering work station. The ability to 'daisy chain' pairs of monitors reduces the wiring configurations and makes large monitor arrays possible on a wider selection of graphics adapter outputs. The USB-C connectivity for integrated USB desktop hubs has been convenient and it turns out I can 'daisy chain' the USB peripheral network as well. If you need a lot of independent monitors in your work environment; this is an excellent choice.
I wanted a slightly larger monitor to pair with my Dell Latitude laptop/table for better home-work environment. Was told this model was "the only" one that would plug & play with my Latitude because of the USB-C port. It didn't plug and play, and another 3 hours with a couple of Dell techs had me receiving new cables. Still didn't plug and play. Then another 4 hours with a few Dell techs had me purchasing a Docking station, which finally got the monitor and laptop communicating. This was WAY MORE MONEY than I wanted to spend on a monitor and subsequent docking station. And it was WAY MORE TIME spent on the phone to get it all resolved. The monitor is good, BIG but wouldn't go through this again.
Great monitor to match with my new MacBook Pro with the USB-C connection that allows my laptop to charge through the monitor! One less cable and a wise move on my part to get this advanced technology. Love how it rotates to vertical scale as well. Perfect matte screen. The only drawback to Dell monitors, is it's hard to see the cable attachments on the back and it's hard to attach and unattach connectors in that awkward space, but I guess it allows the cables to fall down toward the desk.
I ordered a monitor and a docking station in September, but I haven't been able to use the monitor yet, because the docking station is on back-order for many more weeks. Dell used to be a great company before they outsourced more and more of their PC value chain until it is now just a company licensing its trademark to 3P contract manufacturers.I have this same monitor in my workplace office, and it works fine. Nothing unusual one way or the other.
