As someone who has been using the Dell P3421WM 34" Ultrawide QHD Curved Business Monitor for the past 6 months, I can confidently say that it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality display for their office or home setup. One of the first things you'll notice about this monitor is its size - at 34 inches, it provides an immersive viewing experience that makes it easy to work on multiple tasks at once. The ultrawide aspect ratio of 21:9, combined with the QHD resolution of 3440x1440, ensures that everything you see on the screen is incredibly crisp and detailed. The IPS panel used in this monitor also ensures that colors are accurate and consistent, regardless of your viewing angle. Whether you're sitting right in front of the screen or off to the side, you'll be able to see everything clearly and without any distortion. The curve of the monitor is also a nice touch, as it helps to reduce eye strain by keeping your eyes at a more natural angle. This is particularly useful if you spend a lot of time in front of a computer, as it can help to reduce fatigue and discomfort over long periods of use.Overall, I would highly recommend the Dell P3421WM 34" Ultrawide QHD Curved Business Monitor to anyone looking for a high-quality display for their office or home setup. It offers an impressive combination of size, resolution, and connectivity, and the curved design and IPS panel ensure that everything looks great from any angle.

This monitor is fantastic! This monitor not only has a great visible display, it serves as the ONLY hardware I need to connect to my Dell Latitude laptop. One USB-C cable connects me to the monitor for my display, extended USB ports, ethernet connection, and charges my laptop at 90W. It also services as a KVM with an HDMI connection with USB uplink so I have the ability to share my USB ports for (where my mouse/keyboard are connected). The speaker is EQ'd for voices perfectly; Listening to music is okay... but I would use headphones for music anyway. The only thing that would make this monitor perfect is if the camera was able to tilt and swivel.

Positive Aspects:-The stand: It has the most robust and feature rich stand of any that I have seen. It is closer to a VESA mount in maneuverability than it is most monitor stands.-Dell Display Manager: User friendly window management.-Clarity and color: The resolution and crisp contrast make it appear like a smaller monitor but with a larger area, unlike many that look more like a smaller monitor was blown up/stretched (items appear bigger/fuzzier). Text especially is rendered much clearer than other monitors above 30” that I have tried. It is also uniform in color and lighting, even while standing off to the side.Negative Aspects:-The Curve is insignificant/not enough for my liking: It does clearly state the radius of the curve, so it is not deceptive or ... MorePositive Aspects:-The stand: It has the most robust and feature rich stand of any that I have seen. This leads to me looking back and forth a lot as well as looking at it from poor angles to focus on one side. Which has led to me noticing my neck and shoulders causing me more trouble.Because of the additional strain the less significant curve causes me, if I were to buy a monitor again, I would not go with this monitor and instead choose something with more curve. However, if you are someone who is looking for a high-quality monitor without curve then I would highly recommend this monitor.

After weeks of surveying larger monitors for my wife's newly-busy home office, I chose this Dell P3421W. She wanted better visibility for her eyes, and more windows open. It didn't take long to learn that a super-wide screen will be more ergonomic than two separate ones, and that a curved panel will keep the whole display in easy, clear view and reduce head movement. Most offerings at this time seem focused on gaming applications, with super-fast refresh rates; whereas my accounting manager wife has no need of refresh higher than 60-75Hz. Moreover, I needed a monitor that would serve her new M1 Mac mini we were buying to replace her old iMac. Lots of big monitors, most with unneeded refresh speed, and surprisingly, almost none with its high resolution 3440 x 1440. ... MoreAfter weeks of surveying larger monitors for my wife's newly-busy home office, I chose this Dell P3421W. In its price range, the 21:9 aspect ratio, the high resolution, and the 60 Hz refresh helped the P3421w stand out ahead of any competition. Perfect specs for the new Mac mini. Dell's representative assured me it would plug-n-play flawlessly (some of the others do not), and its complement of interface options is top-notch, as well (Dell generously even includes a cable for for each.)Add to its price/performance competitiveness the exceptional design of its housing and base, and we have a winner. Elegant and sophisticated in its lines and appearance, solid and strong. A monitor as elegant as its computer. Nice. And finally, my wife enjoys light jazz in the background when she works. The quick-connect accessory sound bar is very inexpensive, almost invisible, and puts out surprisingly good sound. My wife deserves the best, even though we can't always afford it. Here's something very competitively affordable that is just perfect. I have no reservations recommending this monitor to anyone.
Very easy to setup and readily integrated navigation wise with my Macbook Pro screen. Only minor issue was attaching the monitor stand to the base. Being metal on metal rather a chore to attach it fully. Display is easy to manipulate for optimal reading and i like the single screen vs the two smaller separate Dell monitors I had previously. Clamping on a donut illumination light is a bit of a challenge due to the curved screen design, but was able to make that workable.
I bought this monitor to replace a similar LG ultra-wide 34 inch. The screen is crisp, color correct, and has a great response rate for my software development workflows. I most appreciate the built in KVM that allows my two laptops to gracefully and often automatically switch between a USB C connection to the monitor and all its peripherals (camera, scanner, keyboard, mouse) and an HDMI/USB A/B connection. Remarkably smooth and intelligent with no more dead camera requiring me to turn off an on the monitor.
If you play MMOs, ultrawide is the way to go. Super immersive. If you're a spreadsheet power user. The widescreen let's you see so much more.If you're a multi-windows person (Zoom in 1 window, PPT in another, and Word in a 3rd to take meeting notes), then widescreen is great. This particular monitor was recommended by Wirecutter, and I can see why. Sharp. Built-in KVM for my personal computer and my work computer. I dig it.
The wide screen is great for visibility and it has a good resolution, but the cap rate of 60hz is a serious flaw. My work machine has 16gb ram and a standard intel gpu (most work machines have a standard intel gpu). This is advertised along with other work equipment, but really you need more gaming gpu type power for your machine to use this monitor to its full glory. There needs to be more warning that without a sufficient gpu, your system will have input lag while trying to output such a high resolution.
I am happy with the display. The resolution and curvature are great for daily office work. The adjustable stand allows for ergonomic positioning.I am not happy with the USB-C functionality. I specifically purchased this monitor to be able to plug in my work laptop or home laptop easily via one cable and use this as a USB hub for my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, webcam). However, with the USB-C cable alone, the connection is unstable. The webcam video flickers and eventually fails entirely. The mouse stutters and the keyboard registers duplicate keystrokes.Dell Support indicated that this is because the USB-B upstream cable must also be plugged into the laptop. How is this "convenient connectivity" and a "single-cable solution" as advertised on the monitor ... MoreI am happy with the display. The resolution and curvature are great for daily office work. How is this "convenient connectivity" and a "single-cable solution" as advertised on the monitor description? I would have purchased a less expensive monitor and external hub if I knew I wasn't really getting single-cable USB-C hub functionality with this monitor.
The P3421W is amazing and has really made me rethink workstation efficiency. Since I use both Dell PCs and Mac computers, having something versatile and flexible was really important to me.At first, the monitor didn't work very well, so I connected it to my Dell PC and was able to get the firmware updates pushed by Windows to the monitor. Once it updated, I was able to use it on all my devices, including an M1 MacBook Air. Now that it's updated, the monitor really is perfect! I use one cable to charge my device and connect video out, and I can't be more appreciative of the simplicity.I used to use a very expensive docking station to run the multiple connections I needed to remain productive at home, but no longer thanks to the P3421W.The construction is quite ... MoreThe P3421W is amazing and has really made me rethink workstation efficiency. I never feel like my monitor is going to tip over, which actually happened to my previous LG Ultrawide.Quality of the screen is great. I was able to adjust it to my tastes, which is less glaring and more muted in colors, allowing me to focus for longer hours at work when needed without eye fatigue. Color reproduction is sound and there isn't any over saturation or distortion when switching between OS systems. My only wish here were that there was a Thunderbolt 3 passthrough instead of USB-C so I could leverage the performance of the thunderbolt ports on my Dell and Mac computers.
