Purchased 2 of these for their incredible price. Also mounted them on an arm system for better adjustability. The screen surface has a VERY good matte finish. I find there to be extremely low to no reflection coming back to my eyes. This help to improve the overall visual experience. Text is sharp and crisp. Also appreciate the slightly higher refresh rate of 75 Hz. - image seems much cleaner with no perceivable flicker now. Also love the light greyish white back covers. Finally, the speakers are also loud and clear enough for office work. Not going to win any awards for deep tones, but, the placement of the speakers in the chassis is EXCELLENT! The sound seems to come right FROM the screen, and not from below or from behind like others that I have experienced. So ... MorePurchased 2 of these for their incredible price. Firstly, lets start with the physical features. The monitor is very light at 16 lbs, and has very little bezels at the top, left and right of the monitor which is pretty nice, however its just wide enough to not be invisible. Also, 27 inches of monitor up close is quite wide, viewing at a distance of less than 2 feet might make these monitors feel gargantuan in comparison, especially at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. If these monitors happened to be 1440p or 4k, the size wouldn't be that big of a deal. Which brings me to the technical part of the monitor. Each monitor has two HDMI ports, which is great, it permits you to run two streams on it, so, work PC, and gaming PC on the other port. Each monitor has two HDMI ports, which is great, it permits you to run two streams on it, so, work PC, and gaming PC on the other port. I purchased two of these monitors and mounted it on a dual monitor VESA stand. I received them quite quickly, actually about two weeks after the initial order. When they arrived, setup was quite quick and easy. It took me no longer than 15 minutes per monitor, and they were very light, so not much of a problem to mount. Past that point I started using them for work, and unfortunately this is where I hit my first snag. One of the monitors had stuck pixels and image ghosting. After running the LED conditioning the issue resolved itself temporarily. This is when I contacted support. They didn't fight me over the stuck pixels, which was amazing, and sent me a replacement monitor, but only for 1 of them. Thankfully the other monitor resolved itself, but the one that was still having the stuck pixel issue needed to be replaced. After receiving the replacement two weeks later I mounted it up and ran the LED conditioning for about 10 minutes, everything worked out fine. Just make sure that you set the pixel response to something other than Normal, and have the refresh rate above 60 hz, and you should not experience issues. I won't suggest purchasing these monitors unless you need large monitors, like if you were a receptionist, or have to mount the monitor further than a foot away from your viewing location. With the failure I received, I am concerned that this product is a panel overstock product for not quite passing high value panels.

I bought two of these together, as I was working with a three monitor system, being two 21 inch screens, and a 17 inch for good measure. The two 27 inch screens have a lot going for them; the picture is good quality and as bright as you want it; there is plenty of adjustment for the brightness, contrast, colour, ratio etc etc, and what's more the buttons are easily accessible below the botton right corner of the bezel, and I can not fault the picture quality. The stand adjustment was important to me, and the best thing I did was to clarify this point with Dell Chat, before I bought them, so I did not accidentally buy them without height adjustment. The height adjustment is massive, the tilt and swivel are fine, and you can even use them in the portrait aspect. The height adjustment is massive, the tilt and swivel are fine, and you can even use them in the portrait aspect. I should say that there is no cable manangement, if you are bothered, (me - not really!) I have had a bit of a surprise with these, and it may be a misunderstanding on my part. Because they were the same resolution as my existing screens, but much bigger, I did think that I would get simply more of the same. For example, I imagined that a spreadsheet, at 100%, would have more columns and rows, given that everyting is 1920*1080. But this is not the case; a spreadsheet at 100% has the same number of rows and columns as on my old screens, but everything is a bit bigger. I have enclosed some photos for you to see, and I have put the 21 inch screen next to the 27 inch so that you can really see what I mean. Now the quality is very good, but what it means is that I have not really gained more space for multiple open windows - the windows are just big. The layout is more like two over-sized 21 inch screens, and it was not what I was expecting. However, it is possible to put windows side by side, while still getting a decent working view of each one, and again, you can see the photos. For clarity, I have shown the BBC website both in a side by side position, and full page. I am enjoying the monitors, and there is nothing wrong with them, but for multi-page work, had I understood exactly how they work, I might have gone for some brighter 21 inch monitors, or even for a big curved one. Having said that, you can really see what you are looking at!

Apparently the desktop I have does not support 3 monitors, despite having HDMI outputs for them. There was no mention of this regarding the monitor or desktop. When I called for help, I was told I needed a USB cable. I ordered through the Dell invoice. They sent me a power cord. I called for help again and was told the desktop would not support three monitors, even with a USB, and was then told it was my fault because I could’ve called sales to get comparability before making the initial purchase. Then I was told I would be charged 15% to return the item. A bizarre experience, altogether.
I own 2 of these monitors and love them. I purchased this one as a gift for my FIL who is in his mid-80s. Printing the instruction/assembly diagram using light gray text and diagrams is doing a disservice to any customer over 40 years of age. He was unable to even see the graphics with his glasses on. Having put several of these together previously, I had to go and assemble his monitor for him due to the poorly printed diagrams. They are truly unreadable by anyone. Printing a black and white diagram in light gray is ludicrous. This monitor goes from 5 stars to 4 due to the poorly printed instructions. I take care of computers for several elderly neightbors and relatives, and this is a very common issue. This is a great work monitor and has all the features I am looking for. The height does adjust easily, maybe a bit to easy but it works well for what I am using it for. Bought 2 for the on-line price. Choose the free shipping and enjoy. Looking forward to buying a wall mount system so I can have all monitors in horizontal position. Currently running an H like pattern on my desk at home. Not sure if there are speakers or not installed. I did not purchase them with the speaker option. Have not tried to use the audio port and running off laptop speakers currently.
The key feature I could not live without was the monitor stand. There was a cheaper version of the same display but without height and rotate ability. The picture is great and it fits nicely on my desktop (not too big and not too small.). I also use the Display Port (DP) for my old Macbook Pro. Very nice. The only problem there is the Dell software has NOT been updated for recent Mac OS so it doesn't work. It doesn't really matter too much because I just hit the hotkey on my Windows PC to send it over to the Mac and I'm on my way. The one feature I cannot figure out is why my browser resizes itself while sleeping. When I wake up my monitor, the browser window needs to be resized back to the size I'm used to using. Full disclosure, I am not a computer system guru, but I do know what I like. As a replacement for two 24” monitors, I purchased two Dell 27” S2721HS monitors to extend my Dell Inspiron 15 5510 laptop, and I could not be happier! These monitors are big, and bright, with an amazing picture/display quality. I use a thunderbolt dock, and setup was a breeze, right out of the box, with no configuration needed. It is not necessary to download or use the Dell Display Manager software, but doing so offers several additional useful display configuration options which I greatly appreciate. Working/playing on these monitors is very enjoyable, and I would recommend the Dell 27 - S2721HS highly, and without reservation. I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I do.
