I purchased this screen to improve my increasingly poor sight and get bigger resolution for office tasks. The result is far away from a plug and play experience. I tried Windows 10 features on enlarging fonts, enlarge everything etc. There was never a satisfactory setting that could just simply "make everything bigger". When I say "everything" I mean "everything", which is what you expect when you by a nice monitor. All I found is that achieving that was an absolute mess and possibly not realizable. Windows menus and applications were scaled but some other features like the dropdown menus, contextual menus etc etc were never scaled no matter how many settings combinations you try. On top of that I could only achieve 30 Herz which decreased the whole performance of the system. Once I got some configuration that was "kind off OK" my surprise came when I unpluged my laptop and plugged it to my previous home screen (LG 21:9 29inches) and everything was a real mess, not to mention that the laptop screen became unusable. For all that reasons I returned the monitor.

Huge monitor with 4K/UHD resolution, great as a main monitor because of its size – you can fit two windows onto the screen without them becoming too small!Being a VA screen, there’s some brightness drop when looking at the screen from extreme angles, but my monitor is far enough from me on my table that it doesn’t affect me at all. And besides, the great contrasts of the screen more than make up for it.Overall, the size and resolution make daily use of work programs easier, and definitely makes watching movies more fun. Glad #iworkforDell and glad to have this monitor!

The screen (so far) is OK, spec-wise it fits the bill and it is clear and crisp but I'm a little underwhelmed with the vibrance of the picture. It doesn't feel very 4K compared to others I've used. Also, it's quite slow to respond to commands. For example, switching between inputs takes a while - even compared to other Dell screens I use. And even though the screen has a very thin bezel, it still has an edge around the visible screen so you don't get a seamless join when putting two together - you're left with an even thicker black line down the middle of over 1cm. I would have hoped for an adjustable height stand too.

Bought to use with a Mac Mini. Reasonable picture but text is blurry. Limited options to adjust resolution. Very disappointed that the monitor is not compatible with Mac version of Dell monitor software. Seeing that feature was available was one of my main motivations for buying a Dell monitor. I’ve now researched it and see that this monitor is not on a list of Mac software compatible monitors. Making that fact clearer up front would have been helpful. Something as simple as a pull-down menu to indicate planned use or adding software compatibility as a sort category would be useful.
I would recommend this 4K monitor for home office and general use. I was looking for an economical but quality monitor that I could use for both working from home and for casual use, and this is it. The text is sharp and clear, the video is good. The interface inputs automatically switch to the active line, and 3 are available. Unneeded ports keep the price down. Its a VA panel but looks as good as IPS.
If you are looking for an inexpensive general purpose monitor, this unit can perform well for you if you know how to set it up. It also makes a reasonable non-glare 4k TV monitor when put in the "Standard" picture mode and sharpness turned to 100%. When used as a desktop monitor. I recommend SRGB picture mode, sharpness 100%. When used as a desktop monitor, on your computer graphics card settings, be sure to turn RGB to the "FULL RGB" not "LIMITED RGB"...This will improve the black level dramatically. I would also recommend the following graphics card adjustments: "use Nvidia settings" on all options and adjusting brightness to 50%, Contrast to 65% and Gamma to .80. Leave Digital Vibrance at 50%. For computer monitor use, I recommend display brightness and contrast at 100%. For use as a TV monitor. Set the monitor brightness at 85% and contrast at 90%....Unit picture quality is limited by the full non-glare screen, but this is what you want if you have reflection issues from windows or lights...Works very well on these setting on ROKU Ultra.....Probably will not get much better with non-glare screen unless you are looking for a gaming monitor....This unit will only go to 60hz. One negative, comfortview is very yellow on this monitor. If you really need comfort view, you probably will want to select a different more expensive monitor with a more advanced Comfort setting....Other than that, I highly recommend the unit. One last detail...Pay attention to quality control....Also....The first 2 monitors I received were manufactured in Feb of 2022 and had a picture distortion all along the very bottom edge of the screen, the replacements I received (made in August 2022), did not have the distortion. Dell customer service was very prompt with the exchange units. I am not sure of the long term durability of the units since I have only had them a few weeks, so I purchased the 3 year Dell exchange program for both monitors to assure long-term performance (it was $50.00 per monitor). Happy 4k computing!
This is a fantastic monitor at a be wonderful price. It happily sits beside and compliments my Dell U3219Q UltraSharp monitor. I love Dell Monitor manager to easily allow me to manage both monitor's inputs when switching between me laptop and PC.I had a minor issue with using a DisplayPort input but that is more likely due to my PC. I made an easy workaround to get both HDMI and DisplayPort running at the same time as inputs.I am looking forward to many years of service from this monitor. My prior Dell U3011 is still in service after 9 years.
I paired the SE3223Q with the U2518D in a multiple displays setting. (Alienware Aurora R7)PROS:By comparison, the SE3223Q gives a softer color and brightness, which makes it a good monitor for watching all day long. The color is beautiful and comfortable. The size and resolution are great. Working with documents, surfing webs, or watching movies are noticeably more enjoyable from the bigger screen size.Btw, it needed a little bit of driver installations (Dell Support) and a few settings to get its color profile (DELL SE3223Q Color Profile, D6500) in 10-bit at 60Hz.CONS:The height is fixed at 20.1" with its original stand which is a little bit too low for me. So, I attached mine with a Vesa monitor stand to make it higher (at 22").
Very nice monitor. It replaces two 1920x1200 Dell monitors, quite old, that had developed severe surface imperfections: little horizontal bubbles that gradually filled the entire screen over a course of several years. The new monitor provides almost double the number of pixels, with higher pixel density but still a substantial increase in useable "real estate" for the windows I like to keep open. It's positioned about 20" from my eyes and text is very readable. (I settled on 125% magnification after trying both 150% and 100%.) I play occasional videos (eg, grandkids, occasional YouTube stuff) and they're excellent quality. An important use is for programming (generally C-language), where I like to have multiple windows open for source edits and various tools.I ... MoreVery nice monitor. The build quality and resolution is good, but the colors are abhorrent. They were a terrible washed-out yellow that made the screen look like old, wet paper. The whites had a bad yellow tint that makes working with colors to any extent pointless. I got a replacement but the same issue persisted. If you work in an office setting and never have to worry about color accuracy, this might work for you, but if you do anything regarding colors, run. This is not worth it at all.
