I bought this docking station to provide one plug (USB-C) connection to a Dell XPS laptop. The dock powers my laptop, connects to my monitor via USB-C, and connects my mouse, keyboard, ethernet cable, and charges my phone. I also connect an external SSD drive via the front USB-C port and I get really fast data transfer speeds around 200mbs compared to 40mbs when I connect the same drive to the USB-A port on my laptop. I have not had the monitor disconnection issues and USB ports stop working that I had on the previous version of this dock. You do need to update the dock firmware when you first use it, and also install the dock software on your laptop or the laptop will not recognize the dock or some ports.

Just what I needed. I was sold the wrong type of docking station and took a hit on that cost. Fortunately, I was to save a little buying it from Walmart in hopes it would solve my issue and it did! both financially and functionally.

With the newer laptops offering a minimal number of ports, this item is a must!!! We went with a better version of the product, expecting years of continued usage for our aux. devices. So far, we have not been disappointed!!

Just two things to be aware.1. It has an internal fan. I am used to silent laptops, and the fan bothers me.2. It lacks a 3.5 mm audio jack.Other than that, it seems like a good dock.
Purchased to use for our Work from home Dell XPS, Latitude, and Lenovo Legion Laptops. Works great. No Issues. We have to Dell gaming monitors connected because of the clarity and fast refresh rates. Also was cheaper cheaper at B&H than buying it from Dell. B&H sent this great item to my place fast and beautifully boxed in record 2 days.
Had the previous model thunderbolt dock for my previous job dual-monitor setup. Liked it so much that I decided to mirror it for my WFH setup. Glad I did. Love the βclean linesβ from having everything plugged into the dock and not my laptop. Looking forward to getting and setting up my second monitor! Will update this review if anything changes, but if this dock is anything like the previous model, I expect zero issues.
For the price of this, I expected better but not long after I started using this, I began to experience monitor flickering. At first it wasn't as common but began to pick up. It is now a week after my return date closed and now it's so awful. I have seen this issue on Dell docking stations but figured there are some good reviews, but unfortunately, I too have joined those with the same issue.
This Dell Docking Station, Model Wd22TB4 does exactly what I need it to do. As I have owned a different docking station previously, setup was extremely easy with no issues at all. Would definately recommend to anyone needing the flexibility that comes with a good docking station.
With the newer Dell XPS laptops largely abandoning USB-A ports, wired Ethernet ports, and HDMI/DisplayPort ports, having a dock is pretty much necessary for expansion as many current peripherals are still USB-A. I have an earlier Thunderbolt 3 dock on my work-proved Dell Precision, and it requires 2 cords to the laptop, where this Thunderbolt 4 only requires 1 - and has 130W charging pass-through (from the 180W power brick) so it can keep up even when pushing the machine hard. And I'll be able to hook it up to my wired network for throughput greater than what I can manage with WiFi.
It supports two monitors in addition to the laptop, although Iβm not sure why if has only one HDMI port available - other is DisplayPort. Also, the monitors go black occasionally for a few seconds. Iβve updated to the latest driver - still happening.
