Awesome electric heat

This thing is amazing! First off I’m so scared of the standard looking hair dryer electric heaters. This radiator style heater is so nice compared to those and feels safer also quite. It is very stable and doesn’t feel like it could be easily tipped over, is made of metal which also feels super sturdy. It takes a bit to warm up a room but once it does it is perfect! I have a 1200sqft home two stories, no central heat on (oil prices insane rn) and yesterday it was 27 degrees out, I ran two of them downstairs and for my husband and I the house felt very comfortable and especially warm in the rooms with the heaters. I recommend these for sure! Might even buy a third just so I don’t have to lug one up and down the stairs.

Brought this product after a lot of research, with power usage, heat and timers essential. Although we have reverse cycle A/C. In our home I was looking for something a little more specific to the room and size for efficiency! This nailed itWe have wooden floors and old Queenslander so the chill in the nursery was keeping our baby awake even with the A/C. With this heater I was able to set the times based on her wake ups and guess who slept through BEST INVESTMENT FOR SLEEP FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY LOL.

I’ve had this for a few weeks now, and it does put off heat; however, the heat doesn’t seem to spread. It’s very warm close to the unit, but you’d need something to circulate the air to really help it spread. Not bad for a smaller area. It takes a while to warm up, but that’s to be expected with this type of heater. It’s got a shutoff timer, but I wish it had a timer that didn’t require to turn off and on throughout the day (manual timer one was more convenient). It has also started to make a popping sound. It didn’t do this in the beginning, but now it’ll do it every couple of minutes where it’ll make one pop-like sound (like a clank). Not sure why it does this, but it’s annoying when you’re trying to go to sleep.

Does the job
9 June 2022

I bought this heater to heat our bedroom which is also where our newborn baby sleeps. The heater does a great job with keeping the room at an optimum temperature. The timer, thermostat and heat setting functions are excellent.I’m pleased with the purchase and recommend this heater for heating a room.We had an issue with the heater leaking oil from the bottom suddenly (after 2.5 weeks of use) but we took it straight back to Harvey Norman and they gave us a brand new one. It comes with a 7 year warranty so that’s handy!

First time buying an oil filled radiator and it's been great so far. I originally was looking for something more silent, effective, and energy efficient than blowers and I think it's covering those bases. The unit was also a lot smaller than I was expecting but as a first time buyer of this type of heater, it was just a surprise, not a deal breaker.I currently use it in a room that's much larger than it's recommended sq footage so while it's not powerful enough to make the room hot-hot, it works well enough that I don't need to turn on my super-old-and-expensive-to-run electric baseboards. In the future though, I'd love to see one in a larger size that covers a larger sq footage. My only concern is that I'm not 100% how accurate it reads room temperature, but I ... MoreFirst time buying an oil filled radiator and it's been great so far. It's just that it doesn't get properly hot unless I crank the controls to 76-78ºF.

Great little heater for babys room in winter
22 June 2021

Somehow we managed to choose the coldest room in the house for babys room so we purchased this to help keep bub warm during the night (or at least take the chill out of the air so bub isnt waking up in a cold room early in the morning). We have had it for about two weeks now and so far its doing exactly what we need it to. Just before we put bub to bed, we blast the ducted air conditioner heating to warm up the room and we set this to medium power and no. 4 on the thermostat. We then set the timer to keep the heater on while bub sleeps. This usually keeps the 3 m x 3 m room warm at about 21-23 degrees Celsius on a night that drops to about 10 degrees Celsius by the early morning. We put the thermostat up to no. 5 or 6 if its dropping below 10 degrees and it doesnt ... MoreSomehow we managed to choose the coldest room in the house for babys room so we purchased this to help keep bub warm during the night (or at least take the chill out of the air so bub isnt waking up in a cold room early in the morning). We have had it for about two weeks now and so far its doing exactly what we need it to. It takes a bit of trial and error to find the right settings to maintain the temperature you want. Also it might be a total coincidence, but baby also started sleeping through the night after we put this in her room!Cant comment on longevity of the heater as weve only had it two weeks but so far so good.

Not So Good
2 January 2023

The heater seems to work okay, but it doesn't really warm up a room, about 10 x15 feet. Right next to the unit or more over just above it is the only place to feel the heat. It never it shuts off. It is quiet! Not like the ones that rotate and have a fan. I seems like a better quality then some others we had. The digtial controls we like. The cord is not long enough, about 7 feet, and it is in the front of the unit, seems it should be in the back. There are warnings all over the box and instructions not to use an extention cord.

Quiet, Safe, Effective Emergency Heat and Possibly Longterm Solution
25 December 2022

I live in South Texas, and we normally don’t get much cold weather, even in the winter. This is my first winter in the house I bought this year, and during a record cold front, my central heat went out. Thursday night, it got as cold as 52° F in the house, and I could not get someone to come out until next Tuesday. I quickly searched for radiant space heaters and found this one at Target. They were sold out everywhere else. I got lucky to get the last two in all of my city, ordering them online for pick up and driving to two different locations to pick up one at each. I currently have one heater in the living room and one in the master bedroom, with secondary bedroom doors closed off. I currently have one heater in the living room and one in the master bedroom, with secondary bedroom doors closed off. The bedroom feels comfortable after about 36 hours, and the living area is still a little cool but starting to feel more comfortable. Within 24 hours, the house was up to 59° F, and now, after about 36 hours up to 62° F while it is still well below freezing outside. It has been taking a while to get warm because the space is too big for just two of these heaters, but they have truly saved my family from freezing. I will order a third (and possibly fourth) unit soon so we can be comfortable in our whole home. I actually prefer radiant heat over central heat, as that means no hot air is blown around, so I might end up using these as my primary heat source even after my central heat is fixed. The heater is quiet, and it works well. It is also safe to use, as it gets hot enough to heat but not hot enough to burn you if you accidentally touch it briefly. With children and pets, this is an important safety feature. The setup was super easy: unbox, pop the wheels out, plug in, turn on, set the thermostat, done. Thank you, Target and DeLonghi, for saving our winter break and holiday weekend!

RADIANT HEAT
8 January 2023

I see a lot of folks complaining about how the heat is just above or close to the heater. Well, that is the entire point of a radiant heater is that it doesn't have a fan that blows the heat out. This is why this still of heater is more efficient. The reason I love the radiant heaters is that they don't dry your eyes/nose/mouth out like forced air space heaters do. The only thing I would appreciate is if they wheel base was a bit wider as it is a little unstable which makes it easier to tip over. I have a 35' RV but I just heat the back sleeping/shower/toilet area. I keep it at 68F at night and while it isn't toasty warm inside, under a couple of blankets when it is in the low 40's outside, I am plenty warm inside.

Winter warmer
20 June 2022

Fast delivery. Heater is powerful enough to heat up lounge/dinning/kitchen area, not to toasty warm but enough to take off the chill in the air. Set it at 2 bars medium, thermostat 2, runs in the evening and it uses about 500 to 900kW/hr. Not too bad if you have solar. Cheaper to run than central ducted gas heater which heats up the whole house. Only complaint is the loud clicking noise sometimes when it switches on and off.
