i Bought this in November, and its great. really improved the TV sound experience. films come alive and the Dolby Atmos is really good.its smart and stylish, bigger than the previous Samsung I replaced cos the sub woofer packed up. the remote is small but works perectly.the Bass is great. the controls are easy to use and the blu tooth is a nice touch aswell. Overall very happy with the cinema suround sound

I was recommended Richer Sounds by my Son in Law. Firstly I sought the options at John Lewis, Online products and reviews. Following on we popped in to the Richer Sounds store near the vic Centre, Mansfieldm Road. After speaking to Tom sales instore expert , we placed an order for the sound bar. Love it, excellent sound quality, with Dolby Atmos upfiring speaker drivers. WOW!!!! All I need to do now is decide how best the tidy up a few of cables

Bought this soundbar to go in the spare room but setup in the living room to compare to our Bose Soundtouch 300 with rears and sub setup. Although the Bose is quite old now I still think it performs really well, can go very loud with good bass and never distorts.Mostly using the soundbar for films I found it very impressive for what I consider a pretty reasonable price. Always started up when turning the TV on and sound coming out through the soundbar instantly. Setup of the device was incredibly simple plug and play.Overall an excellent product for the price point and in my opinion much better than similar household name electrical brands soundbars. First time I’ve purchased a Denon system and very impressed.

I purchased this along with a Sony 55" X90J to upgrade from a Yamaha YAS-107 bar. I liked the Yamaha but the Virtual DTS:X was found out on later release films and as I was getting an all new screen I figured I may as well upgrade the sound too. I'm glad I did. I considered a few other bars that were a little cheaper (there was a discount on this bar at the time) and looked at the Samsung one too. After listening to that and the Denon model below this the Atmos demo from YT that Will in Hanley RS played was a proper ear opener! The bar is long but slim and discreet, the upward firing speakers adding genuine height to the sound and projecting it around us, the sub speaker cloth covered. It says black but it's more of a charcoal colour but I personally prefer that as it makes it look less industrial. The remote is good enough, a HDMI in and another eARC out which makes hooking your satellite/Blu Ray/console easy enough and the sound settings give a good balance. The dialogue option is great too as it makes use of the centre speaker that even a mumblecore rapper might be able to be heard. Sadly.Overall for the size of the room I have this soundbar does everything I need and more.
The Denon DHT-S517 is a great sounding sound bar for the price. The sub-woofer is a step up from the other subwoofers that come with sound bars at the same price point. The Dolby Atmos does provide extra while watching movies and streaming shows that were recorded in Atmos. The 'Dialog Enhancer' is a great feature when it's time to watch sitcoms or the news with the ability to switch back to movie on the remote control. The only item I could find that did not make me excited, and thus only four stars, is the volume does not give you a numerical value on the TV screen when adjusting the volume. The sound bar is connected via the eARC. Other than that one thing; I would absolutely recommend the Denon DHT-S517 sound bar to anyone.
This was a huge step up from my previous Yamaha soundbar, the sound, when set up correctly, is amazing.I've been unable to connect this to my LG 49UK6400PLF using ARC, and am unsure if this is a TV or Soundbar problem but I've had to settle for Optical.Works well with an Amazon Firestick. The Atmos effects were a little underwhelming, but this is to be expected for what is essentiallya budget entry level Atmos soundbar. I'm sure if I spent ÂŁ1000 it would be a different story. Still, the sound is excellent and I am overallhappy with the Denon DHT-S517
Great value soundbar for medium sized room. Quality product as you would expect from Denon. Vocal clarity is very good and sub provides plenty of bass. EARC isn't always detected by new LG tv and I have had to switch to another input and back again occasionally which is only a minor irritation to be honest . Remote is a bit cheap looking and feeling as well. Overall though worth the money
I searched for some time before deciding on a new soundbar.Having moved my old system meant trailing wires which we didn't want so elected on something with Dolby Atmos.Reviews online were plentiful but confusing and conflicting.I had reservations over the RMS of this unit as my old system was much higher one most of the alternatives were at least twice as high.Fortunately my concerns were unfounded and the volume is perfectly adequate for our set up.More importantly the deciding factor of my search, voice enhancement, is excellent.It has stopped my other half turning the volume up to an uncomfortable level for me and she can still discern the dialogue.Quality Sound
