You get a lot of sound out of this little speaker and you would get a nice stereo setup with 2 of these. I have this connected to a Marantz amp and a Denon HOME250. I had to use the HEOS EQ to get the best sound for both HEOS speakers. The speakers aren't what I would consider Audiophile quality but they are very good and keep the family happy when wanting multiroom sound. Both speakers are hooked up via Wifi but the amp is cabled to the router. As long as everything is running through the same access point then there is not any problem. I would have loved to give these speakers 5 stars but for the money I would have expected slightly better sound quality. Plus HEOS seems to just stop playing music at times. Bass heavy but very good

I had previously bought a Denon 250 which I found good but much heavier on the bass than I would like. Setting bass on that down to the minimum it would allow brought it only just down to the point that I didn't return the device. But given the overall quality of it I decided to spring for its little brother as well. This is similar in that the bass is heavier than I like. It's a party speaker more than anything. However, like the Denon Home 250, it's just on the acceptable side of too heavy and everything else about it is solid. The higher tones are very clear, just a bit swamped by the bass. IF I could find another speaker of similar quality which addressed this problem and which didn't have an atrocious app required, I would buy it. It is also capable of some surprising volume.If you want this for parties or you're an RnB fan or similar, then buy it right away. The bass is my only issue with this speaker. But if you WANT bass, this will blow your socks off.

I bought 2 Denon 150 smart speakers for wireless sound around the house. I found the setup frustrating and it required a bit of troubleshooting.The sound is good but does lack stereo sound available with Sonos. Having already owned a Denon receiver I am familiar with Heos and am mostly happy with the connectivity and functionality.The speakers and app do not always connect right away which is frustrating but I am pleased with my purchase overall.

Denon = world of frustration
21 October 2022

I bought a Denon Amp for my wired Atmos system + 2 Denon 150 wireless speakers for another room. They sound grate but are a world of frustration. 6 months in and the network card on the amp packed up - it was 5 weeks in repair. My next frustration is that, although the wireless speakers could be set up as a stereo pair, this seems no longer to be possible - I’ve spent 3 or 4 hours trying to get this to work. The speakers will also not pair with the amp. Aaaaaaagh!

Does everything we wanted and looks great
12 August 2020

We bought this a couple of weeks ago to go in our newly refurbished kitchen (we got a white one). We upgraded our main music system at the same time, replacing a stack of separates with a Marantz M-CR612. The Home 150 works perfectly with the new set-up (with one small glitch mentioned below), operating perfectly on a network consisting of 3 Google WiFi points (placed equidistantly from all three). The range of options can be bewildering - Airplay, Bluetooth, accessing Internet Radio on the network, linking with the Marantz on the network etc etc) - but all of them are useful.I don't find the HEOS app very intuitive, and the documentation for how to operate HEOS is very disappointing. Instructions for the Home 150 which come in the box are extremely minimalist, but Denon provide a manual online that is downloadable as a pdf and answers most questions (apart from HEOS, that is).The one glitch which I haven't sorted yet is that when I synchronise with the Marantz the speakers aren't sully synchronised. I don't think that is a fault of the Home 150 however and I'm sure I'll fix it eventually.Overall, we are very pleased with the purchase - and it looks great in our new kitchen. It's not cheap (so only 4 stars) but it does everything we wanted and more.

Excellent value stereo set up
4 September 2022

I’ve spent a good amount of time researching what I wanted for my kitchen diner extension and these hit all my criteria and at a much lower cost to the alternatives. Considered Sonos Ones in stereo and the Sonos Five and an amp with bookshelf speakers. These provide great stereo sound, simple set up, voice control and the option of aux in. Better sound and aux in vs Sonos ones and far cheaper than the other alternatives. Very pleased

Great little unit, with good sound.

I bought this as an addition to a Marantz AV receiver setup - so it could be used both combined and as a standalone product. As a standalone product it is superb (although I keep getting verbal messages from BBC radio telling me that it won't keep playing the BBC content later this year, due to the switch to the Sounds app) the Denon website says that they are aware and are looking at this.The software is a little 'hit and miss' when tying up with the Marantz - both units are individually superb, but I've my fingers crossed that the 'Apps' are updated and that enables them to play nicely together. Occasionally even when the units are shown as 'a group' I get two separate streams of music that are out of sync and have to turn everything off and re-pair the units to ... MoreI bought this as an addition to a Marantz AV receiver setup - so it could be used both combined and as a standalone product. Great sound. Need a subscription for max benefit.
29 December 2022

This is the first smart speaker I’ve bought; I chose it for the HEOS system on my HiFi, and because of good previous experience with Denon. I’m really happy with the sound quality. This may have been naive, but I didn’t know I’d need a music streaming subscription to get the best from it; and similarly I haven’t found a way to link and de-link the speaker from the main HiFi from the control panel on the HiFi itself. I can do it from the app on my phone easily enough, but there are more of us in the house.

I bought this to replace a whole stereo system as I’m moved and downsized. The reason I bought these over any wither similar speakers is that these have the option to use a usb stick so I can rip my CDSFirst listening was a bit underwhelming but it’s a case of you get out what you put in so Spotify was ok but not great. Crank up the volume and it gets a lot better and these are perfectly loud enough fo the average room. As might be expected theres better quality with MP3s although I think you can’t use an iPod with this so check if that’s your plan.Finally there’s also straight forward Bluetooth which is good as the app won’t play YouTube for example .As ... MoreI bought this to replace a whole stereo system as I’m moved and downsized. Upgrade from Sonos…
10 April 2023

Set these up in the kitchen to replace our old sonos system, which has been plagued with connection issues (not appearing in spotify)… really happy with the results. The trebles have much more air and sparkle and the bass is deeper. But now thankfully i can listen to my rega record deck throughout the house without buying a port! I was sceptical at first regarding the heos broadcast with Analogue sources but it’s just ace worked first time and sounds spot on. Went with Richer as the after sales has been spot on for years!
