I am no audiophile, but I know what I like. I purchased the Denon for my new vinyl system set up for the sound quality but also because I could change the bass and treble and balance. I am lucky enough to have a room dedicated as a music room. Yes, I can afford higher specifications equipment, but at this stage do I need that? What surprised me was how well my vinyl played and sounded through the new amp and remember these are the original 1975 albums. If you care for the stuff you own then you won’t get any problems. The Denon fitted my needs, I can add to the amp for additional functions which makes things very handy. It looks the business too.

Ah've tried it and ah like it!

My 36+ year old Marantz amp was beginning to show signs of pre-senile dithering, a rasp here, a speaker bias there. A quick search for best quality "budget" amp suggested quite a few, including the Denon PMA 600 NE. I decided to check Richer sounds as I'd bought the Marantz and, in fact, all my hi-fi equipment here. Excellent service from Hauke at Edinburgh, deal done and amp delivered to pick up point within a couple of days. Installation was a dream, even managed to get rid of two of the three platefuls of spaghetti round the back! Sound quality is amazing, clearly I've been needing a new amp for some time. Full, deep bass accompanied by crisp clear high end. I bought this "unheard" shortly into lockdown and do not regret it in the slightest. It replaces an old Marantz 5.1 receiver which never really got the use in surround sound, so this makes everything much neater. Such a good sound with a very solid bass end, clean midrange and a sweet sounding treble - there but definitely not harsh. With just the right number of analogue & digital inputs to hook up all the set-top boxes, CD player and the TV, this is an amp I use quite regularly now. Subtle tone controls allow me to compensate for a less-than-ideal room setup without swamping the sound with overblown bass. I listen to a lot of organ music and this really does have the ability to reproduce - and control - the really deep sounds. There are really no negatives with ... MoreI bought this "unheard" shortly into lockdown and do not regret it in the slightest. OK, and the remote control does need to be pointed directly at the unit. Other than that, get out there and buy it while you can - you will not be disappointed.

Bought this along with the 600 series CD Playerand it looks and sounds fantastic! Very pleased with quality and sound, so far I have connected the cd player and my tv which sounds awesome through it too! It comes with a comprehensive and easy to use full remote control.Richer Sounds went amazing and went that but further make sure I had the best deal possible. They didn’t only match the best price I had found they undercut it! No argument just a better price from the start. Also price matched my speakers and gave me a bit extra off just to make the deal even better.Secure payment was a breeze and all items delivered two days earlier than expected. Can’t recommend the Denon separates enough and the guys at Richer Sounds couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried!

Excellent sound and connectivity.
29 July 2023

Excellent amp - has all the connectivity I need. Bluetooth was exceptionally easy to setup. I particularly was lookiing for an amp with Phono inputs so I could listen to my expanding record collection. This amp has the added bonus of being able to switch off the digital inputs when listening to vinyl. All very easy to operate. Connected to a Harman Kardon Sub woofer and 2 Wharfedale Diamond speakers. Lovely sound. I downsized from a large 5.1 Yamaha AV receiver with 5 speakers and returned to good old stereo. Don't regret it.

Simon's review of PMA600NEBKE2GB Bluetooth Integrated Amplifier - Black
5 December 2021

Pros: The sound is superb in the whole frequency range. Lovely rounded bass and the top end is clear and not too harsh. In fact, the whole range is very clear. I have heard a few things on Yes: Close To The Edge that I haven't noticed before - despite decades of listening time.Cons: The inclusion of an optical connector would have been handy/usefulThe printed manual(?) and the expanded Pdf version were really not very helpful. They told you what things were, but didn't fully tell you how to use them or what they are for eg. what exactly are the two phono 'Network' sockets/inputs for? I connected my PC Soundblaster outputs to the CD inputs. Works fine.

Superb-Go for it
10 June 2022

Bought it a few days ago. Excellent quality, excellent clarity of sound, excellent sonic details. Pricey perhaps, but definitely worth the money. My interest was that it has 2 optical inputs, which allows you to simplify cabling. And it has Bluetooth, which, for an oldie like me, is like magic (playing the music on your mobile from a distance on my amp)!!! It's a replacement for my aging Aiwa AV-NW30. Be mindful that when you first set it up, the volume button is at zero, so you won't hear anything!!!! And the Sales Team at the Chelsea store is very professional & knowledgeable. For some reason, HiFi with optical inputs are becoming rarer, so get such an amp while you can. Merci to Denon & Richer Sounds.

After upgrading my cartridge (AT VM540ML), and preamp (Project Tube Box S) I felt there was still something missing in my setup. Enter the Denon PMA600ne. I did a lot of research before buying and settled on this model because of its reviews, features and price point. I also have a Denon TT so figured it’d be a nice fit. Easy set up right out of the box and the Bluetooth worked seamlessly and quickly. Honestly wasn’t expecting to hear such a drastic difference in sound quality switching from the Onkyo 9110. Bass is tighter, deeper and fatter. And the highs, which the Onkyo did not do well with, are clearer and reveal a lot more detail. Another nice thing about the unit is it made me happy with my speakers (Klipsch RP150m), too, which saves me some money by not ... MoreAfter upgrading my cartridge (AT VM540ML), and preamp (Project Tube Box S) I felt there was still something missing in my setup. I considered looking for a used vintage amp for a while but I’m glad I chose the Denon. Technology has come so far, and I really wanted Bluetooth in the amp, so it made sense. I also appreciated how Denon seems proud of and takes care to to explain their intelligent circuitry design. I’m really happy to finally be hearing my vinyl much closer to what I imagined it could sound like when I began piecing together and researching my equipment. Happy to be a part of the Denon NewEra.

Really pleased with denon. I'm using it with Q Acoustic 3030i speakers. I was initially using Schiit Modi dac, but tried internal Dac in the PMA-600NE and I couldn't tell much difference at all. If I had one complaint it would be that there is no visual way of telling what volume is, so I just have to go by ear. Also wish that analog inputs were just labelled A1, A2 etc, instead of CD etc. But otherwise I'm happy, it plays really loud if needed. Clear sound. Highly recommended despite minor criticisms mentioned. Also Highly recommend CHT Solutions. I'll be buying from them from now on. So quick to dispatch order. Also I had questions regarding subwoofer which I intend to purchase soon and they were very helpful

I also would have preferred analogue inputs not to have been pre labelled, AUX 1, AU2 etc would have been better.
