The Brand is called Sedef. The Product itself is of high quality, it's just a bad product from a user perspective. The Reason for this is that it's difficult to load the blades into the razor and I believe you easily can hurt yourself while doing so. That's not a risk I'm willing to take so I'm going to order another straight razor with another kind of loading mechanism. Don't take my word for it. I like these blades but they don't seem to be as sharp as others I have used. I have to press a little harder and even go against the grain to get a clean shave. However, they do work and I can still recommend them.

The only problem I have noticed is that they can sometimes be a bit of a pain to unwrap because everything is so small and I have big fingers. In this time on Covid-19 the use of the traditional straightedge razor is forever gone so now has come the time of one shave one razor. Thats where the excellence of Derby Professional Platinum Single Edge Blades have stepped up to continue that clean, close, smooth shave in a disposable blade. So now Im able to buy single use blades in bulk for pennies for a prefect shave every time.
I use an open shavette razor to shave with and I find these are the best blades to use because they are a less aggressive than others and so there's less chance of nicking yourself. Recommended.
Love me some Derby blades. They're good value for the money. Not the sharpest or smoothest on the market, but easily good enough for me and at a very reasonable price. Someone in another review had problems loading the included razor. I asked the seller about it and he linked me to a video. Search Youtube for "Barbier Rasiermesser Klingenwechsel" and it should be the first one. eBay won't let me post a link. The razor has a comfortable shape and non-slip construction but it's a bit too light for my liking. I prefer a heavy one.
The product was not what i expected. I was looking fora single edged razor to cut bread dough with . What i got was a very good razor for beauty treatments. All the razors came individually raped to remain sterile. So my wife is now using them.
I was actually dissapointed when I bought these recently... They are much flimsier than before. The quality of these blades are not what they used to be! They look and feel cheaper than before!!! I checked with one of my Co workers boxes and his was the same way as mine, he agreed with me that they are not the same quality they use to be. We are strongly considering using a different brand!!! It is such a shame, because we have been using this brand for years...
I use a straight razor to reduce my plastic use. Yet each pack of five blades comes in a plastic box and is shrink wrapped. I'll be going back to the Astra brand which uses paper based packaging.
For purely economic reasons, referred to sufficiently in other reviews, I recently ditched my multibladed, vibrating, lubed shaving 'system' in favour of a good quality trad safety razor and brush and some of these blades. After taking a few tips on how use a safety razor I am now completely sold on safety razor use and have actually started to enjoy the ritual of shaving again. These blades give me 7 to 10 good shaves - they might last longer but why risk a cut using a blunting blade? I thoroughly recommend them. Top quality and top value.
