Purchased at Ulta. This is the Dermalogica intensive moisture balance moisturizer and it is for dry/dehydrated skin types. Comes in an easy to use squeeze tube. This instantly quenches my dry, dehydrated skin. This has hyaluronic acid, echinacea, aloe vera, and a prebiotic chlorella algae complex. Those ingredients does a good job of hydrating the skin, makes it softer to the touch, and plumps up the fine lines. The product has a weird scent but I don’t notice it after a minute or so on my face. I definitely like how it leaves my skin feeling, I use this every night before bed

Active Moist

Active Moist is a very nice, lightweight moisturizer, that smells great (fades after application) and dries down without any tackiness. I only gave 4 stars because it made my cheeks red after applying. I wasn’t sure if I was going to have a reaction (on my cheeks) to it so I only use it on my forehead now. So far (it’s only been 2 weeks) I haven’t had a reaction or any breakouts on my forehead. I feel like this moisturizer is best for normal to oily skin types. My cheeks definitely need more moisture than this. I do believe it’s oil-free, which is a plus. Dermalogica is a very good skincare company. Buying the full size after the trial

I used points to purchase the mini size of this and am I ever glad I did!! My dry, sensitive, acne prone skin loves this stuff. After using it for a few days, my skin was smoother, noticeably plumper and my irritated red patches seemed soothed and less visible. Not in a million years would I have thought to try this moisturizer otherwise, dermalogica has some questionable ingredients in some of their other products, however this product has a solid ingredient list. I especially love that it contains lactic acid, a gentle exfoliant and humectant that I know from experience my skin loves. The smell reminds me of a medical ointment, but fades after a few minutes. Here I am buying the full size after finishing up the mini!

Can not recommend this product

I must preface this review by saying I have been using Dermalogica products for 20 years. I have had great results from the products personally and on clients. I decided to try the Skin Smoothing Cream Moisturizer. It does have a nice feel to it and does seem to provide adequate hydration. But the smell is awful and smells like old product. But, just in case it was old, I reordered another tube and it smells the same. Because of this I do not feel comfortable recommending this to others. All other Dermalogica products I have used smell clean, fresh, and perhaps clinical in a good way. Thank you for the opportunity to express my concern.

Not impressed!

I usually use skin smoothing cream, but sometimes need a bit extra in winter. This cream feels very rich and creamy going on, but it doesn't soak in and just sits there on my face like a big shiny oil slick. After about half an hour my skin starts to feel dry, itchy, and tight, but still has the greasy shiny film on it. Applying more cream temporarily relieves the feeling a bit, but it's very superficial and my skin feels both greasy and dry/dehydrated at the same time. I persevered for a couple of weeks thinking maybe it was just an adjustment phase, but my skin got progressively worse - rough textured, itchy, dehydrated and greasy, and I even got a few spots breaking out. I really like the intensive moisture balance Moistururizer! I've used the Ultra Rich moisturizer for years now, but have only been able to use at nights because I feel that it's too heavy to wear under my make-up during the day. Yet, my dry skin could really use it!As soon as I put on the Intensive Moisture Balance Moisturizer I was so excited! I had finally found the perfect "in-between"! It's exactly moisturizing enough for my skin but not too heavy to wear under my make-up! It's perfect for me and my skin! I love it!

Softer and Hydrated

This cream is soft and keeps the skin hydrated. I had a lot of acne - small reddish spots from exposure to windy conditions in the changing weather. The appearance of my skin was dry and scaling. In 10 days of application, the cream has restored the skin texture and healed all little scars from scaling. Acne has significantly reduced, though with regular use, I may see them vanish completely. A bonus about this cream is that it retains moisture even if you apply anything over it - like a foundation - which is usually drying. For my skin, applying it once in the morning keeps the skin hydrated till bedtime, so reapplication is not required (unless after a cleanse). The best moisture

The very best moisturizer I have found after trying many, many samples, high quality brands as well as nice drugstore options. Works great on dehydrated, sensitive skin. Might even reduce creepiness slightly. Moisturized as well, but does not leave a greasy finish. Works well on sensitive, sun, damage, acne, prune skin, morning and night. Works well around the eyes without irritation. The only drawback is the price. It has to be rationed and alternated with less expensive options.

It is nowhere near the regular moisturizer that I have been using for years. My skin looks dull and yhe tone is uneven. The real formula would make my skin glow, well-hydrated and even toned. Luckily I did not throw the very last tube that I used before purchasing this new one, and the other day I used the very little product left in it to make a comparison.Voila! My shiny skin was back the next morning and stayed with me all day! Please bring back the old formula because this is not what we are paying for.
