Love this stuff! Hooray to reducing plastic bottles, 1 bar lasts for weeks. It smells so clean & fresh. (Not at all like antiseptic as I assumed it would)Helps relieve annoying little red spots (on back,arms,legs etc) & hives, this stuff works miracles.Suds stay on your skin in the shower better than shower gel & makes a rich lather good enough to shave with. Also no irritation from shaving which I get without this.Great for feeling wonderfully fresh & hygienic all over. I have dryish skin but no problem with it as I reduce temp of shower. Hot water is often a cause of dry skin.My only grumble is about some of the ingredients, I think Detol should create a more natural version.

I have been buying this dettol soap for a couple of years after switching from liquid soap. However a few months ago, there has been a change for the worse. It has a much different smell compared to the old one which is slightly unpleasant. The colour has changed also from a shade of green to bright yellow. The 2 bars no longer come in an outer box but plastic film. Probably made in a different factory for cost saving reasons.

I bought this as a change from the antibacterial soap dispenser type. An actual bar of soap, made me more thorough with hand hygiene as it felt comfortable, and I felt more soothing to my hands. The smell was pleasant, a refreshing, clean smell. It would have got 5 stars if the shape was better, it curves in at the middle, hence with use it's more prone to break in this area. I wondered if that's a ploy to get people to buy more. The price is ok.

I have used the Dettol Anti-bacterial bar soap for more years than I can remember. It is a family favourite. The last pack I purchased looked exactly the same until I opened it. The soap inside was much darker in colour and the fragrance bears no resemblance whatsoever to the 'Original' soap. Where is the dettol fragrance? The new soap smells like a lemon scented floor cleaner or a cheap washing up liquid!! How can this be labelled as 'Original' when it is most definitely NOT 'Original' ...? It is a different product entirely ...
I bought this because I'm so fed-uo of using liquid anti-bac handwash. This seemed more soothing on my hands. It has a clean fresh smell. Would have been 5 stars if shape was different. This seems designed to narrow in the middle, hence more likely to break. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I will certainly continue to use it, plus have other products available to ring the changes.
I always use this soap but so difficult to find in local shops. So I was delighted to see it online on the Superdrug website - with free shipping too! I wanted to buy loads but the quantity was limited to 3. I have enough to keep me going and will re-order more when required. Thanks Dettol and Superdrug. Best soap in the world!
It's a great product considering the current situation. It lasts far longer than liquid soap, has a pleasant smell and works up into a good lather. If you're going to use predominately soap during the virus outbreak and taking into consideration the number of times you'll be washing your hands on a daily basis it's always good to remember to pour a kettle of boiling water down the sink at least twice a week. This will help flush through any soap residue that will build up in your waste pipes. Stay safe everybody!
This was always my favourite soap - just enough pleasant scent and lasted ages. Then during COVID they changed it to a lurid yellow, started packing it in plastic instead of cardboard, and made it smell like very strong artificial lemons. Do they think that people think that seems more anti-bacterial?? Or did they think we wouldn't notice? Please bring back the old one, Dettol.
Soap has changed to a bright yellow colour and smells very different to previous bars. Usually the individual bars comes in a outer cardboard box. But now the 2 bars are still in individual boxes but then wrapped in clear plastic which you can't recycle! Compared boxes and there has been a factory change. Really dislike new smell, it lingers.
I have read previous reviews and I honestly do not know how or why the soap is turning into mush unless it has been left in a pool of water and not drained!!! This goes for all soap! I started using this many years ago when I was actually back packing in Thailand since then yes the colour has changed and the smell is more lemony I personally love it! Then and even more now!
