Solid tool which is nice and compact for a 1/2" impact wrench however doesn't seem to live up to the 440NM claims - struggled to remove lug nuts torqued up to 140NM with a torque wrench a week prior and flat out wouldn't remove one of them that required very little effort with a manual ratchet. If you are doing anything that requires more than 120NM I'd suggest looking at the bulkier version in the 1000NM range which seems to get great reviews.

Amazing impact wrench, I was looking at its Bigger Brother the DCF899 but it seemed a little to big and bulky.This one is perfect in terms of size and has more than enough power for the applications I need it for. It will take off wheel bolts and towbar bolts with ease.Thanks again.

Chose this particular model as it appeared from other reviews to be a good combination of package size with performance. Unfortunately this tòol is a very 'lightweight' performer and I should have chosen a heavier model.

Specifically bought for automotive use as i didn't want something to heavy or too powerful. Easily removes wheel bolts at 180Nm and the tigger operation allows soft start and slow speeds to ensure you can control tightening or release of a nut or bolt. Ive paired the tool up to a 2Ah battery and it easily has enough power to remove and refit all 4 wheels and is not to heavy and nicely balanced. Well constructed and will hopefully last as long as my other DeWalt tools. The LED lights are a nice touch as well.
Great value (with £25 discount offer!) mid torque impact wrench. Using with 4amp batt is a bit heavy, but lasts, gives good performance, & is lighter than my 899. The 3 power settings and variable trigger give precise control, & the middle intelligent speed function works well in both directions. Delivery to the door was earlier than expected too! Led light is similar to 899& useful. Used in commercial vehicle workshop & matches air tools/garage tool van brands at a more affordable price!

Bought this about a year ago. Thought it was rather expensive for what it is. It is powerful.. but for the size and weight and breakaway torque the Milwaukee gun wins hands down. I still use it nearly every day it’s good for wheel nuts etc but rusted suspension bolts it really struggles with hence 4 stars.
Just as good as most other DeWalt stuff is, i had allready purchased the bigger one but its not light & this unit is far far better when your not doing the real heavy stuff. 3 year warranty also dont forget! you cant go wrong
Lovely tool, bit heavier than the 880. Only used it a little bit so no comment on reliability. It's supposed to make the batteries last longer due to brushless motor. I did think I changed the batteries less often, but I haven't actually compared the two in a scientific way.
This is a good tool, but the description does not match the item - in this case the tool is showing as the P2 kit (with batteries, charger, case and motor) but the item when ordered suddenly becomes the N with no batteries, charger or case. Be warned the description is at best deceptive
