I have bought 2 of these. One about 2.5 years ago, the other yesterday.The one purchased a few years ago randomly died about a week ago. Just doesnt turn on anymore. Never rained on or dropped, all the plastic is in great shape. Had probably ~200 hours of use. It was more of an automotive/home repair use light. I have the big spotlight one for work purposes.Took the light apart for kicks. There was some bad solder points, looked like corrosion (but the light was never exposed to water).The head could be better. No idea why it needs a long head like that. Would rather see something smaller.The hook is another odd feature. While the hook itself is sorta handy. Once hung the light can not be directed up or down. The handle and battery dont allow for articulation in any direction other than clockwise/counterclockwise. If you have a stable flat surface you can place the light down on that and direct the light.All in all the light is handy to have. I bought a second one because I am way too deep in the 20v line to buy another battery platform.

Bright light on a dark job

I normally don’t give a five star rating for a light but I can’t give this one anything less than five stars! It’s amazing how much light this little tool puts out and it’s great that Dewalt put two brightness settings in the switch. It’s great on battery life and doesn’t put off any heat, what more can I say!? I’m already waiting on my next three to arrive. I have several of the lights from tool kits, and they work just fine but this bad boy blows them all out of the water.! A must have for dark jobs or constant use. Truly amazing. Dewalt, thank you for another great addition to my collection of yellow and black power tools, now over 200 tools strong and growing. If they keep making tools like this, I’ll have no choice but to purchase from Dewalt as usual. I have only been disappointed once and that tool was probably made first thing on a Monday morning when everyone was still hungover lol. That’s not bad considering that I’ve been in commercial construction work for 15 years. I still have some of the old 18v tools that work just fine(look like they’ve been hit by a train).

I am very impressed how bright and powerful this Dewalt light is. It has a trigger for on high medium and then off. It produces more than enough light needs on any job. Would definitely recommend and thinking about buying an other one for good measure.Would be very handy in a power-cut also.

Durable and bright

This is second light that I bought. I've used my first one for over a year. It's bright and durable to be used in construction environment. A 5AH battery that I typically use lasts for several hours and this included small battery might last up to an hour if I remember correctly. Light will flash if battery is low, so that gives at least 2-7 minutes to prepare a replacement or get out of crawlspace before it goes dark.#sweepstakes

Excellent work light

I had one of these before and used almost it daily for over 5 years and lost it so bought another. Much more practical than the square type like the 060, 74 or 77, and cheaper and being directional it doesn't blind you. 2 days after i got it a woman whos house i had been working in 2 weeks previous, rung me and said her son had found it in the loft so ive now got 2. My original one was the mark 1 and this is supposed to be brighter but honestly, i can't see any difference. Brilliant work light.

GREATEST CONVENIENCE, ALWAYS HAVE ON HAND W/O

I'm a JOURNEYMAN Electrician & if l have to get into hard to reach or access areas it's always a hassle to run an extension cord for a worklight. Sometimes there's no power available to run a cord for a work light & a flashlight is difficult to position on the target in order to work on it not to mention the fact that a flashlight eats batteries. W/this worklight I have all my batteries on hand that I use w/all my Dewalt tools which are rechargeable & saves me a fortune. In conclusion, I have many different options to position this worklight whether it's tilting the lights head while standing it upright or, hanging it from a point overhead & aiming it at the area I need to work on.

Great work light.

I have the previous model ( same number but series 1 ) where that one is 500lm on max, this one is 1000lm so twice as bright. Abbey Power are selling it for less money this series 2 than most are selling the series 1 for. Great build quality but then I am a little biased as I always buy DeWalt gear and usually from Abbey Power. I would highly recommend this product and the supplier.

At first thought this would just be an over priced torch that I would use once in a while but it's one of my regular used tools.The light is bright enough to light a room up but not so bright it blinds you. Has a lower light setting for small spots which comes in handy. The hook is also more useful than you would think at first.So far used this torch to go in the loft, under the stairs, changing plug sockets in low light when electric is off,checking the oil in my car late at night (stand it on fuse box or other flat surface),changing tire at the side of the road, moving house in a van when it gets dark(hang with hook inside of the van) , in the boot of the car when going on a trip.
