Fantastic! I have an old Bosch corded jigsaw, which I can't get to at the moment. It has never let me down, but I needed one for a project. This, I have to say, is a massive upgrade, on a tool I've always loved. Doesn't get much better than that!

After years of using bushed Dewalt jig I decided to get a new one. Brushless comes slightly more expensive but its a beast compering to brushed one. Comes with a front guard and proper vacuum tube - very helpful.And not like the old version- that beast having a LED lightsSo after all it was good money spent, recommend 100%

This unit is a vast improvement on the previous DEWALT effort, much lighter and smaller in form and easier to use both in deploying new blades and speed control. The action is very akin to my Festool 820 unit, very nice to use.The addition of lights is excellent as the previous model lacked badly in this area. My only desire is that when the unit is used inverted as much of my work is, that the lights automatically extinguish as does the Festool 820, as they are very bright and shine straight up into ones eyes through the material being cut.Over all a brilliant upgrade to the old trusty cordless jigsaw from DEWALT and very much worth the extra money in my mind!

A premier product

pros: This is a premier piece of kit. It is very well made cordless jigsaw and powerful enough for most DIY jobs and I suspect professional ones as well. The quick release blade feature is excellent. It is easy to adjust cutting angles and have full control using the variable speed control. It is expensive, especially if you also separately purchase a battery and charger. Nevertheless, it is well worth the investment. Highly recommended. con: Instructions could be more clearly printed and laid out.

Expensive, but better in every department

I owned a 850w Bosch wired jigsaw before I bought this Dewalt. The Dewalt is far better designed, the blade change is quick and easy, yet the blade is held far more firmly than my previous Bosch. The cut angle adjustment is also quick and tool-less unlike the Bosch. And although this is a battery tool, it cuts more quickly and accurately than the Bosch. The battery usage is incredible, still had 3 bars after a whole afternoons work. The only downside is the price, yes the Dewalt is expensive, but its a quality bit of kit that saves time, gets better results .Highly recommended

Great Cordless Jig Saw Addition

Easy blade change, great light, cuts smooth, good site line to blade & cut line.Wanted to add a cordless option to my cabinet install & trim tools. I'm finicky about my tools and have used the same Bosch top handle corded jig saw for 20+ years. The top handle design and T-shank blade style of the DCS3341 made it an easy choice for me for the cordless companion to my corded jig saw. It also fits right into the arsenal of the other Dewalt 20v tools we already have.It could use a blower like my Bosch to keep the dust clear of the cut line. The case does allow the tool to slop around some and when it arrived one molded positioning piece of the case had broken off which probably doesn't help.Still a great tool and I would buy it again.

Much better than its predecessor. A good purchase

Much better than the previous model, in which a blade got stuck and I broke the holder in my attempts to free it. All opther settings reflect a thoughtfulness in design, including the angle setting. The tool is also much more comofortable to hold and use. Another benefit is, of course the new battery system, as changing the battery in my old DW jiigsaw was a real pain. Great tools, thoughtfully designed for improved performance.

One of the best cordless jigsaws

I have been using Bosch Professional corded power tools as a carpenter / joiner for a very long time. Moving over to cordless, I have found DeWalt to be the generally the best, and this jigsaw is fabulous. The blade change is very simple with good vision of the blade, and together with the led lights, variable speed, tilting footplate and integrated blower, working with the DeWalt DCS334N is a delight. This model is an upgrade to the previous DeWalt cordless jigsaw and the little extra cost is well worth the investment.
