On the + side it's at a reasonable priceas it has a brushless motor and drives the nails in faultlessly with no rebound. One the - side it has no dry fire lock out and is quite noisy. As this product has been around for a few years now I thought Dewalt would have upgraded with new features without having to change model numbers, if they had it would have been excellent value for money and received 5 stars.

Great piece of kit! Sturdy and fires the longer 63mm T brads no bother. Paired with my 5.0batts lasts all day between charges. Only reason I haven't converted from compressor and hose sooner was down to initial financial outlay. Tad expensive, but feel sure this will soon pay for itself in lousy time previously setting up and moving compressors etc. Love it!

Disappointed the bare unit did not come in a box. Only wrapped in a thin cardboard wrap then in a postage bag. Very little protection if the item does get thrown around before it is delivered. No fragile sticker on the bag.I bought this as a gift and spent a lot of money on this item. I felt I had purchased the item secondhand.

I acknowledge that the dewalt 16 gauge finish nailgun that i bought was used, but the charger that was sent was not working. The gun is dewalt brand , so i expected nothing less than perfection. I think i got exactly that. This gun adds to my collection of dewalt cordless tools which consist of cordless grinder, angled framing nailer, jigsaw, sawzall, router, skilsaw and of course, impact and hammer drill. I also have my trusty dewalt power station . All are awesome tools. The only cordless tool that is not dewalt is my new makita grinder i bought with the dewalt battery adapter, because dewalt is taking a while to come out with their variable speed grinder. I hate a grinder that only runs all out. Full rated rpm. So now i have a dewalt and makita cordless grinder
I received my nailer earlier today, out of excitement, I opened it up, plugged in a battery, loaded some 2.5" nails and started shooting some wood using the bump mode. Everything went great. But when I switched to single mode, nothing happened! I thought the tool was defective. Then I read the manual and learned how to use the tool I single mode. I tested it and it worked. If you're new to these nailers like me, better to read the manual first! The nailer is great, fast and powerful. I highly recommend it.
I only used this particular nail gun briefly as I realised that it wasn’t the correct tool for the jobs I need to do.When I’d called Powertool World for some advice we seem to have selected the wrong machine - it turned out that I needed the DCN680 (not the 660) which will fire nails as short as 15mm.Both the 660 and the 680 are excellent - easy to use, powerful and they really improve my work rate even as a DIY-er. I’m a convert ! It’s a shame that the 680 doesn’t have an angled magazine as it really helps the 660 get into tight corners.
no very happy. I got this nailer as a christmas present. in Janurary I did a project building a bench worked great. The is sat until today. Went to the Cabin and was hoping to work on replacing carpet. Started nailing trims back on and for whatever reason, they start either misfire or sometime doesn't go in all the way. very irritating. Tried the a few other batts that I have. Though maybe it is related to the nails that I have. Went and bought a box of new nails from dewalt too....works good for about 5 mins and does the same thing.Support is useless. Tried to email them getting some help. They tell me to go to a depot. I am 6 HOURS away from the nearest depot @ my cabin and will be there for about a month. All my plans are ruined.very very displease with ... Moreno very happy. Not impressed with service from support nor the product itself. Used it for a brief 2 months. Used for one project and upon the 2nd project this week. It started having problems with the inconsistent nails. every so often a miss and/or not completely in.really wanted a cordless nailer instead of a compressor. I have many other Dewalt tools. I have to say I am not impressed with this one and the last few I got. REALLY REALLY considering team red.
I have used this on several projects, I was hoping this would be my last finish gun,but I'm not sure, it's kind of bulky and much heavier than my Paslode impulse nailers. It does not get into areas the Paslode does, I can hang 2 paslodes on my waste with ease and no drag on my pants and Dewalt's pulls. I would not hang 2 of Dewalt's guns on my waste. The belt hook is awkward, it's designed for standard timber, but when your using the finish nailer, all members are closed off, it would be better with the Dewalts standard belt clip. I was hoping to convert ALL my tools to Dewalt 20V & UP, but this gun makes me reconsider.P.S. I have an account with Dewalt and had registered over $4500.00 of new tools with them this past year or so, I have sent request to Dewalt and ... They do not seem to be the quickest to respond (email only for contact) and based on all the years I have been a Dewalt user, They certainly DO NOT show any loyalty for someone who has spent over $20,000 on their products the last 26 years they have been doing hand power tools (formerly Black & Decker Professional).James Crawn Home Repairs, over 35 yrs in the business.
I do a lot of small jobs where I may remove trim from one room or a window and complete a repair. This nailer has saved me a ton of time and energy. It is great to not need to haul around the compressor and hoses in the truck just for a few pieces of trim. I have even been able to bless friend and family by making quick repairs when I have it with me. I have had a couple jams but it is a couple seconds to get fixed and back working. I would buy it again in a heart beat. so nice not having the noise of a compressor in the customers house or a hose to drag through making a mess and trip hazard.
