The lawnmower drains the batteries in 10 mins. I only did half of my front yard when I saw one bar of lights. I was practically sprinting to finish. The batteries were brand new and we're charging for 1 week, so I only assume it's a dud. I've now returned it.

I expected better from DeWalt. The are design flaws, e.g. that the engine is not powerful enough to efficiently push the clippings up the collector... they get stuck in the entrance chamber, which affects the cutting performance and may make the engine stall. Also, the driven pulley and belt broke after a year: it turns out that the pulley is not heavy duty at all... heat builds up and the track borders do bend and break, leading to further belt damage and loss of traction. Awful buy.

I was so sick of pulling a shoulder out of joint trying to start my old petrol mower, and was finding it was too heavy to use as my oestoarthritis progressed. Buying my new Dewalt battery mower has actually made me look forward to mowing instead of dreading it. The easy start, and the lightness of the mower has set me up for years of hassle free mowing to come.

I have been using it for a year. The motor is not powerful enough and the the blade gets stuck frequently even when the lawn is not too long. The clippings can get stuck between the blade and the casing and the machine cannot feed and push the clippings into the collecting bag. It is so frustrating when you have the use your hands to push it without making a mess. Disappointing product although I am a big fan of DeWalt products. I hope it improves in next generation models.
