Superb cut quality and accuracy. This is the first mitre saw I've owned so thought I'd buy a decent brand and have not regretted it. The DWS777 is pretty compact and doesn't need load of space behind it for the slide rails like some mitre saws. On delivery, I checked all the blade angles and they were spot on with no adjustment needed.Only complaint is that the instruction could be clearer if they had separate (or fold out) diagrams from the words making it easier to follow.Other than that, it's a really greatr product.

As a woodwork supervisor in a previous life, I have had the opportunity to use many different brands of mitre saws. It's the old saying that you get what you pay for, the Dewalt dws777 saw is not a cheap make but is very solidly built and very accurate cuts, which to me is worth the price, just saving time on not having to make adjustments all the time.It came out of the box with no adjustments necessary, yes it was expensive but worth it and would recommend the the saw to anyone.

Always bought DeWalt mitre saws, owned a DW705 for years and its brilliant, but heavy. Wanted a SLIDE MITRE SAW that is more portable and lighter and decided the DWS777xps was the one for me.Very portable at 14kg, excellent spec, excellent cuts in all parameters. Slide very compact so can be used quite close to a wall. Loads of power having an 1800w motor enough to handle any job. Dust ejection is powerful so dust extraction advised. XPS shadow is very good too and accurate, still prefer mk 1 eyeballs and pencil line but better than a laser. A pair of fast attach brackets to quickly attach to a stand is always a good buy.If your thinking of buying a slide mitre saw, then take a look at the DWS 777 xps its a brilliant quality saw.

This is the second of these saws I've owned. The last one I had (Elu) for about 25 years mainly used daily for office partitions and shop fitting. It never faulted, I didn't even change the bushes. The noise level is lower than others I've come across. Top quality materials and design. The improvements look good. Unfortunately l retire in 2.5 years but I'm sure this new machine will be around long after I've finished with it.

Excelllent compact mitre saw
14 November 2019

I needed a new small mitre saw after my 15 year old Metabo finally gave up the ghost. There seemed to be good and bad points with every make and model I looked at but chose the DWS777 as it seemed the best compromise.I like the soft start and find the motor noise quieter and less jarring than lots of other brands, some of which sounded like a bucket of bolts in a spin dryer. It's pretty compact due to the internal rail rail system, I wasn't sure about this design but it seems stable and works well. Cuts square straight out of the box.I was also pleased to see it was made in Italy. Most Italian made tools I've had in the past have been really good, so am hoping this one is the same. Not really fussed about the XPS shadow light, I just lower the blade and move ... MoreI needed a new small mitre saw after my 15 year old Metabo finally gave up the ghost. You can't see it in the daylight anyway!Didn't need an 1800 watt motor but chose this over the cheaper and lighter 1400 watt DWS774, as I'd read too many reviews about quality control issues with that model.

Good bit of Kit!

Value:- Could always be cheaper!Features:- Trench cut facility would be good.Performance:- Can't fault it, accurate out of boxand it does what the specsdictate and it's powerful.Reliability:- Not had it long enough yet but it isdeWalt so...........Unless you're prepared to spend a colossal sum of money on a top of the range pro job this saw is the business. Impressed and no hesitation in recommending.

Let down by clamp design
3 March 2019

Good saw but found it very difficult to tighten the clamp enough to hold the wood. Could be designed a lot better. This does let it down. Also I use a workshop vacuum and still end up with more dust on the saw and cutting surface than is extracted through the so called dust extraction facility. It does the job but you have to take the clamping and dust extraction into consideration, these definitely let DeWalt down with this model

OK - but 1 year max..!
15 October 2022

This saw is basically good, but in slightly heavier / longer use (avg. +2hrs per day) it isn't going to last.I've had three of these units now (DWS-777) the first two died after 12-14 months!!! That's a very good designed to fail just after warranty build quality!!!One - the motor gave up, with loads left on the brushes, not repairable. Two - the main drive shaft failed (sheered) disconnecting the motor from the blade, not repairable.

if you like over priced dewalt
16 July 2023

this saw is for people who like yellow tools in their shed. the mitre gauge is of no use what so ever which is probably why they have drilled holes to fix all the 90, 45, 22.5 angles.well over priced for what it is. there much cheaper and better options
