This is a lovely drill better than the 785 it replaces. It has a metal chuck. Nice weight and balance and a short overall length. Recommend. this time i have registered the 3yr garantee !

So solidly built you can feel the quality! 13 torque settings as well as a hammer function and built in torch, this drill replaced my 11 year old DeWalt first generation battery drill. This one feels like it will last longer with its solid build. This is quite a heavy drill, weighing in at just over 1.7kg with a 2Ah battery fitted.

I can't fault the dewalt drill, the sound of the brushless motor took a little while to get used to but for a general daily use the drill is excellent, plenty of power and hammer action good. Much better than the cheapest models. The TSTAK are expensive separate and although good and i have a few now i have not used the stacking facility as much as i though and not as rigid as a larger Dewalt case i received with a grinder.
Head & shoulder above in performance when compared with lower brands & not that more expensive as its availability at much lower price since launched. Smaller in size makes it easy for multiple jobs & brushless motor will last you almost forever
Drill is powerful enough through concrete and drills a lovely pilot hole. Major gripe I have with this drill is that the chuck continually slips. I wish I had opted for the drills more expensive sister. I would describe this drill as a good back up or light use drill.

Have used this on a number of occasions where the gearing sounds likely to explode on any of the settings,I dont think this is right.
Very pleased with this tool it is nicely balanced,with a strong carrying case. Time will tell if it will be as long lived as my old drill. I have removed the belt hook as I find they tend to get caught in your clothing
I bought this drill to complement the impact driver and batteries I already had. It is well made and is powerful enough to handle all the hard jobs I put it through as a tradesman. I particularly like the ratcheting chuck which grips drills so well that they don't slip in the chuck. Highly recommended tool.
