I actually bought this tool to match it to my collated screws adapter. This screw gun works in tandem with the adapter anr does a great job at installing drywall at a faster pace. Make sure of buying the correct screws and adapter if buying(recommended) both.

I actually bought this tool to match it to my collated screws adapter. This screw gun works in tandem with the adapter anr does a great job at installing drywall at a faster pace. Make sure of buying the correct screws and adapter if buying(recommended) both.
I bought this in January right after the new year. By the end of March it started slipping when I set screws. I love DeWalt products but 3 of the brushless tools I have purchased this year have failed or in the process of failing. What’s going on? I’ve used DeWalt in the commercial trades for 12 years and have never had these problems.
Moved from the corded version to the battery. All the features and excellent handling of the plug-in with the convenience of battery. No noticeable difference in power. Bit heavier with the battery but not much using the 2ah battery. Good run time and fast charge. Can't speak to tool life but DeWalt screw guns have been nearly indestructible. Combined with a good price makes a winner.
When I placed the order I asked for information about the weight of the product and I also had the impression that it came with the battery now that it arrived I realized that it did not come with the battery
Finishing my basement and thought I’d try it. Worked for a GC for 14 years dragging those cords around. Being battery powered I thought it would not compare to the corded gun. I was wrong. Awesome product
I use the screw gun for installing self drilling screws in a steel building. It works well, clutch can be set to not over drive screws. I don't like that the gun is over all very long. being so long it is hard to use working between ladder and building or reaching over top of wall to install screws. I also don't like the location of the fwd rev switch, seems I am constantly bumping the switch and reversing the screw gun without intending to.
I wish they would make the forward/reverse lever a push button like the impacts are. With gloves on, its easier to change direction pushing a button, not swinging a little lever. It doesn't chew the paint off the screws like a impact gun does. I like how long it is because while putting steel roof panels on, I'm not bent over as far. It hooks on the tool belt nice.
purchased this particular screw gun while building my workshop. used for all the metal roofing, siding, and trim. it made hanging panels so much easier and didnt overdrive a single screw. have a brushless impact also but this was so handy in place of setting by feel with the impact driver. will be using for all other building projects
