DCF840 is just what I needed for home projects or DIY. Enough power to drive some screw. I'm not a professional but this is probably something that suits my needs. The size of this impact driver is good enough for me. There is a smaller version the dcf850 but costs more than twice. Price from howetools can't be beaten and the next day delivery always amazes me. Love Dewalt products as I now have few models and the 18V XR range is brilliant as the same battery fits all. So a body only purchase is a great way to save costs.

Excellent entry level drill for the Dewalt range of impact drivers. Works great and light weight. If you are after a more substantial drill with other features grab the more expensive one but this is great for the home handy jobs
I’ve always been using my Dewalt drill and driver. This Dewalt impact driver is a great deal. I can now get into spaces half the size with more torque. It uses my batteries from my drill and has saved me a lot of money.The multi led lights make it so easy to see the work area. The trigger is very sensitive giving good control.Glad I’ve added this to my range of power tools.
I brought it a month ago and it's served me well. I can undo screws which I had trouble getting out before
What a great little impact driver!Build quality is really good and the performance is excellent. Quite possibly the best entry level impact you can get.Very, very happy with it.With a 5ah battery it’s perfectly light and nimble, 6AH will give you a bit extra grunt without too much added weight but if you don’t care belabour weight and balance and just want to go full beast mode then stick a 9AH.I can only imagine what a powerstack battery on this would be like.
Wasn't sure what to expect from a refurbished power tool. But seemed untouched to me. Works perfectly fine.
bought for home improvement diys. great stuff, does exactly as specs. single speed only, but trigger is sensitive enough to not being an issue.
A bargain and nice and amall. Drives large and small screws and bolts. Variable speed control takes somw getting used to.
