I highly recommend this tool for every level of tradesmen. It has become such a time saver and easy way too layout, install, and double check numerous construction practices. The accuracy is more than adequate for carpentry, pipe fitting, and any other trade that measures to the sixteenth. Outdoor use can be limited due to sun light but indoor it exceeds the listed range.
I like that it takes AA batteries. Very strong magnets. Strong laser. I'm a carpenter use it daily. Must have tool.
I seriously cannot believe I didn't buy one sooner.. like years ago sooner. I'm currently finishing a basement and this thing has become my life line. I'm using it for walls, studs, outlets, overhead lights, literally everywhere I can. I look around my house and see how many things I've hung up in pairs and struggled to match their heights and now I sit here wondering why I tried so hard when this was the answer.
I previously had been using a cross line laser and hand plumb, purchased on of these a few months ago and fell in love with it. When I bought my employee a work van recently, this was one of the first things I bought for it. Great time saver for install straight rows of can lights or setting the outlets perfect in a tile backsplash.
It does the job. I rather have the green laser. You can't see the red to well.
Set this up against a highly accurate site level on a job site and was spot on at 35'. Will be used primarily indoors and will do just fine, Not really bright enough for outdoor applications with sunshine
I needed a level with both an up and down spot and a horizontal/vertical line (which can be turned on and off independently). This one has good visibilty, seems to be accurate, all for a good price. The lines are a little thick, but you have to spend a lot more for finer line. I'm very happy with this product.
