Broken teeth after short use

Bought this saw to round out my cutting needs. Usually dealt products are of good quality but this was not. Teeth broken on both sides of blade within hours of use. No replacements short of buying it over again. Waste of money

Disappointed.

The saw works fine, as long as you don’t need a replacement blade. Blade broke after about three hours of use. Imposiible to find at Home Depot, authorized factory outlets or even on the Dewalt web site. Very annoying. Don’t sell the tool if you aren’t going to service it.

I like the saw and it is sharp. Wish it had a cover so it could stay that way will in a box or bag. Would also be safe for anyone coming in contact with the blade. You should be able to buy a replacement blade also.

No replacement blades
21 February 2021

Initially loved this saw. I purchased (3) different models of Dewalt hand saws including this model. After use, I wanted to purchase replacement blades and come to find out there are none... for this nor the other two models. I guess you have to purchase new saws at full price? These are my last Dewalt products. You can find comparable saws that do have replacement blades. This is my second attempt to post a review, I hope this one meets their standards!

Saw binds
17 December 2018

I have used Japanese pull saws before and have been impressed by how easily and smoothly they cut. Unfortunately, this version by Dewalt binds and sticks with each pull and push. I don't know why it doesn't work as well as Japanese saws, but it doesn't.

Should read “Cross-cut” Pull Saw

Should read “Cross-cut” Pull SawI lost my Japanese pull saw in the California wildfires. I have also always enjoyed the Dewalt family of products. While the online reviews said nothing about the quality of cut it would produce I assumed it would be comparable to my previous site. So, I purchased the Dewalt double edge pull saw online expecting it would equal the performance of my previous finishing saw. On larger pieces this saw left scratches from both sets of teeth that need to be repaired.Although it has the same shape as my previous saw, in no way does it produce a clean smooth finished cut I am used to.In the sample photos you can see how the teeth chipped the paint while trimming a dowel. On the jam stock you can see how the teeth lifted the paint while pressing the blade flat to the piece.

This saw is perfect
2 December 2021

Using this saw is so helpful for certain uses. Its super thin, sturdy blade is perfect for trim or branches and is very versatile. Clean quick cuts and dual side cut ability with coarse or fine teeth make it a great addition to the toolbox.

Too big and too clumsy
28 March 2018

This saw is huge. The locking mechanism also does not hold the saw blade in place very well. I have to tighten it frequently. If you need one of these for every day use, buy a fixed blade Japanese model. Even the cheap ones are so much better than this garbage. Already have this saw and want to to detail work or cut dovetails? Forget about it. I also left a review on Amazon about this product just in case.

I like Dewalt tools but this saw is a failure. Cuts slowly and poorly, both sides of the blade. I understand why they are on sale in numerous stores.

didn't have more than a couple of hours work with it when all the teeth (crosscut side)broke. no replacements available. bought a knockoff brand at at garage sale that'slasted me just fine. blade's too thick and not really flexible enough for flush cutting butI didn't buy for that anyway.
