I first purchased the hatchet. And surprisingly i liked it quite well. So, i decided to take another chance on this 3-1/2 pound DeWALT axe. It’s very well balanced and i will not return to a wooden handle axe again. I really do enjoy the grip and texture. It splits pretty-darn good too. Two thumbs up!
I had to return the axe after the second use of splitting logs. The axe head had come loose from the shaft.
