I've owned several brands of Long Nosed Pliers in the past, and pretty much settled in on Craftsman, until I purchased this pair.I bought this pair because I was so impressed with the leverage, quality and ergonomic hand grips on the Diagonal and Lineman Pliers that I already purchased, and decided to give these a try.I am NOT disappointed !!!With the others the tips have broken off, or the hand grips came loose from the metal handles and made getting leverage very troublesome.These have yet to fail me.The locking feature is a plus !!

Solid and very useable pair of pliers. They are considerably better than others I have and worth the additional cost.
I have arthritis in my hands, these solve the problem I have using most hand tools. Although the design creates a problem with the Jaw width, this isn't a problem usually.Now added the side cutters and standard pliers to the long nose pliers, should have purchased the full set to start with
Have the normal pliers and wanted a long nose set. Same quality and strength and well worth it when they went on sale.Really good quality and very strong grip
Overall length 230mm. When handles are fully opened my hand just reaches across to close jaws. Limited wire cutting capacity I accept. Compound action to me means less effort to grip on any surface, not just cutting power, making them exceptional in performance. Jaw tips open to 15mm. I'm no electrician. Used to bend half hardened Brass and annealed Mild steel for Museum mount making. I'm sure all the female mount makers will find this tool invaluable. Not used just by the construction industry. Good value compared to Knipex, NWS or C.K pliers.
This plier does offer more grip than standard needle nose do. The extra leverage helps especially when you are using it on something for which it is not intended to be used! Like holding a nut in an awkward spot while tightening the bolt. Sometimes the right tool just won't fit and needle nose saves the day.

Well made top quality tool with comfortable grip for extended use. The spring loaded opening is very convenient when working one-handed, and the tool can also be locked in the closed position when storing it.The compound action is highly effective when compared to conventional pliers, but does limit the maximum jaw opening. I've not found this is a big issue with needle nose pliers as they're typically used in confined spaces anyway.
