The saw does what it's advertised to do cuts right through limbs and includes more chain oil than it holds, my only gripe is the strap it comes with is not great(the one piece plastic adjustment retainer slips easily) , I have a harness that I'm going to try with it instead. Otherwise I might pick up a metal buckle. Something that would have cost less than $10 would have made it feel much better.It would also be nice if it included a hangable cover for the shaft end.

I cut two to three bed fulls of limbs. If you do not shake the shavings out occasionally, they will cause it to bind. Fixing the issue takes only a minute or two. These are tools and they do require adjustment and or maintenance.

5 star these Dewalt attachments are great. Pole saw cut everything like butter. No complaints only positive attributes. CPO is the best lowest price and truly the only place that gets your product to you ahead of schedule. Kudos!!!

Better than expected

I just used this for the second time this for the second time. Today I used it for 45 minutes pretty solid trimming a large juniper tree as I was lifted in the bucket of a backhoe. I and the backhoe operator was blown away at how fast it cut, how long it lasted and easy it was to use. I only used my Husky Rancher on one Large branch used the Dewalt on all the rest. I still had 1 bar and half left after cutting pretty solid for 45 min. I was sold, and going to get one more battery and the chain saw now. It was supper nice not to have to pull start a saw every time i needed to talk to the operator of the backhoe.

Cheap plastic, doesn't compare to 20v pole saw

First thing you'll notice is that this attachment doesn't look anything like a dewalt tool. That's because it isn't. This is a trimmerplus pole saw with a dewalt sticker. I looked at both in person and they are the exact same tool. This thing is mostly all plastic, even the main body housing and branch hook. I returned it and bought a different brand with a metal housing and branch hook. You have to remove three fasteners with two different tools to remove the side cover to clean it. The 20v has tool less removal. I hope dewalt eventually makes their own unit that compares to their 20v pole saw. This thing is a major downgrade.

It's not pure DeWalt quality, rather it is borrowed, but a decent compromise price-wise. I had the DeWalt trimmer already and was pleased to find a pole saw that saved me the cost of a new powerhead. It works very well if you're careful.

Poor design and quality!!

Bought the 60V max combo trimmer/blower and also the pole chainsaw attachment a year ago. Used the pole saw attachment the first time this spring. The drive gear shaft in the gearbox broke on the 3rd cut. Poor quality, durability. The saw kicked and bounced when I started cutting and broke the drive gear shaft. Very disappointed!! Trimmer works ok, not very powerful. I feel it's ok for low to moderate use. Compared to a gas trimmer, dosen't even come close. I think power is lost through the cable drive shaft to the head unit. Also the balance is bad for trimming. The battery and motor are located on the back side, behind the two handle locations.

Powerful saw

It is powerful and lightweight. It is made almost entirely of plastic so it does not feel like it will last a long time. The pole is sturdy and feels well made. It cuts fast and it is easy to control. It is not as heavy as the 20V model and it does not seem to have quiet as much torque but it cuts faster and has ample power.

Shame on Dewalt Engineers. All plastic junk. Clutch held together...

Clutch held together by a C-clamp that debris ripped off after 15 minutes of use making saw worthless( chain falls off) This should never be part of 60volt family,the 20v was made of die cast aluminum why did you cheapen your product so much. Don't waste your time on this product. Go buy a competitor that has the quality and fits your square drive attachment.
