Got one, opened the box hooked it up and the motor would never turn off even when trigger is off which is a safety problem apparently. Ok whatever, things happen so I went to Home Depot and exchanged it for a new one. Got the new one everything seems fine, washed 40 ft of fence, like 20 square feet of pavers, washed a car a total of 3 times over the year and now I decided to wash a grill. The power washer turned off mid wash and not turning on again. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this trash completely. Really hope other dewalt products do better, but definitely staying away from this brand.

So I bought this model and the surface cleaner attachment to clean my driveway which was pavers. Upon the first time starting up I noticed the pump wasn't staying on unless the trigger on the gun was held down. Then the gun would discharged water at a very gentle setting not even equivalent to that of a garden spray nozzle. Great electric pressure washer for light duty work. It's extremely easy to move around and use, and the electric and pressure hose are nice and long. The only significant negative is that it does not have an on/off valve with the soap reservoir. What this means in actual use is that once detergent is in the reservoir, you're stuck spraying soapy water until you remove the reservoir, empty, and rinse the tank. Only then can you spray and rinse your surface with water only. When doing a large surface where you need to work in sections, this become problematic. The best workaround (unless someone has a different idea) is to purchase a 3rd party soap-dispensing nozzle that can attach to the end of the spray handle or wand.

I bought every product from dewalt ,im dewalt fan .but only this product im so disappointing. I used this product just only 5 time totally. I leave it outside and when i want use it again, my inlet water was crack. Later it broken. I try call home depot service and they said it shouldnt in warranty..i said it was three month and crack. They said it not cover wanraty. So i give up,and so disappointed , may be another model it should be better. So i looking from Ryobi for my new washer presure. But Dewalt is my dream. So i wmay be another model should be better than this one.
Bought this at Home Depot on sale for $199 ($100 off). Was going to get a Greenworks at Lowes but the sale price influenced me. Unit was very easy to set up. Just snap handle assembly in and store tools. As everyone states, the wand holder is pathetic and won't hold it. It would barely run my 15" surface cleaner, which I used with my old gas Honda. The difference is the Honda was 2.5 gpm versus 1.1 gpm with the Dewalt. Worthless with a disc cleaner. From the beginning the water hose fitting leaked. I tried replacing my hose fitting with a metal threaded on with teflon tape. Then I tried using a thicker washer. Still leaked. This inlet piece attaches to the pump with a simple u shaped retainer. Eight days later I received a box of misc parts; none of which I needed. Called DeWalt again and a different cs rep pulled up the Manuel and told me that part is not even available. They can only replace the entire pump unit; which makes no sense for a $2 fitting. They said I could take it to a local warranty center. The warranty center is about an hour away from me; and they told me they don't work on washers, but they would have to send it back to the factory for repair. I told the cs rep this and she said they could send me a prepaid shipping label but I would have to box it up myself and drop it to UPS.I ended up just returning it for a refund a Home Depot. The unit did perform well with the turbo head for most cleaning. It would be nice to have quick connect fittings like my Honda to attach the hose to the unit and gun. This has a threaded connector on each end.Pretty good design and performance but leaking and low gpm were a deal breaker.

After my old (cheap/off brand) pressure washer finally died, I decided to go DEWALT because I trusted the name. That was a mistake. It arrived with the wheel axle bent, and one tire won't hold air (packaging was fine...so it left the factory this way). Disappointing, but not a deal breaker.Then I started using it. First 5 minutes were spent with intermittent pressure, surging and dying. Then about 20 mins in, it just stopped working. Maybe it needs to cool down, I don't know. But I know I miss my old cheap pressure washer that had none of these issues.Don't risk it...think of the time you'll have to spend packing this thing back up and returning it.DEWALT: You're spoiling your reputation by selling something so poorly engineered and made.
I purchased this as my wife wanted a small electric washer for the deck etc. It does no more and no less than expected given what it is- an electric pressure washer. The reason for the 2 star rating is due to the quality of the components and overall build. The hose- come on DeWalt, I bought this over the others (for more money I may add) due to my satisfaction with my workshop full of DeWalt tools that have always been outstanding. That hose is hot garbage. I am replacing it with an actual quality hose that doesn't bend and kink all the time. I see it lasting no more than a few uses. I have to build a rack for the hose and electrical cord as well to properly store. Wrapping the hose around the body like that? Who thought of that? I bought this thinking it’s a Dewalt. I didn’t need a high powered gas washer. This seemed perfect. I used it 4 times only. Then the simply would not turn on. After connecting the water and waiting then connecting the power the motor hums for about 2 seconds then nothing. I took it to the store Andreas told it was about a week past the warranty. I paid over $300 for 4 washings. I loved Dewalt power tools and have everything from miter saws to hand held tools. But I’ll run from items like this in the future.
It seems my problem is similar to many others. I'll engage the engine, start spraying, and it works fine until I stop spraying. Then the engine won't come right back on. However, if I wait 5, 10, or sometimes 15 minutes, I'll put the engine back to on, and it does re-engage....until I release the trigger and stop spraying. Fiddling with the Test and Reset buttons does nothing. Given what I've seen from other reviews, it looks like this a major design flaw. I have at least a dozen other Dewalt products and love them all, which is why I bought your pressure washer, but its performance is extremely disappointing.
