I replaced my 25+year old Delta with the updated Dewalt 10" corded version. There were some space restrictions that dictated what could be placed on the saw working table. This saw fits perfectly, taller than the old one so there was some height adjustment to the table - no big deal. The saw was picked up at our HD, so no delivery. The counter person was friendly and kept all the packing material I didn't need. The Saw: immediately replaced the blade with a 60 tooth, the blade it came with appears to be a decent blade, possible table saw double. The saw cuts like a dream, lots of power, dead-on adjustments, (detents or in-between). Good brake, relatively quiet, good dust discharge out the port, very well built. Should last me for another 25 years. The ONLY downfall ... MoreI replaced my 25+year old Delta with the updated Dewalt 10" corded version. Took a few cuts, (and a skinned thumb!) to remember. Other than that, it's a great saw. Looking forward to the upcoming projects to put it through it's paces.

I had always purchased the under $100 miter saws. This is my first upgrade, and man what an upgrade!!! Sliding it for my angle cuts is like sliding on ice! Everything about this saw I love!! I feel like I have the Cadillac version now! lol For $260, it has been worth every penny!!

I purchased the DW713 back in March 2009 when I started my business and use it almost daily. I use it to cut soft PVC extrusions and on a average of 30 times/cuts a day and has never failed. The only issue I began to have was a blade wobble but the fix was a new set of brushes (inexpensive), took me a couple of minutes to repair and it was back in operation. The only reason I'm getting a new one is ...age...I think after almost 14 years she's served her purpose...probably keep using her for other household purposes

I was trying to decide between this Dewalt and the Rigid that is the same price. I'm happy I went with this one. I built 2 bluebird houses with it. It is very well made and the blade that comes in it is really good. I don't mind it not having the laser line you just have to lower the blade without pulling the trigger to make sure you are on your mark, especially on beveled angle cuts. Also I don't mind it only being single bevel, I call always flip the board over. Same thing for deciding on the more affordable 10 inch blade and not the 12 or a sliding one. I highly recommend this miter saw. I have a Dewalt cordless drill I've used for several years and Dewalt still makes great long lasting products including this miter saw.
Had the earlier version of this saw and liked it. This one I love! Easy to see where you're cutting. Table turns easily and locks into preselected places nicely. The release is a major improvement. (knocked the last one off) Has power to spare but still very portable. Cutting surface is better than most. Purchased a similar Makita that I now will never use again
Mine is 23 years old and still going strong. Cuts everything from 2x6 to crown and laminate flooring. It has survived a garage fire ( thankfully under a truck at the time and only got minor heat and smoke damage and and about a 1000 gal of water) too getting caught out in thunderstorms and snowstorms. Yet still runs like the first time every time. Its only drawback is capacity. That’s what my 12” slider is for. I love that it’s compact ( takes up less room in truck and shop vs slider ) and setup only takes a few seconds unless you are doing compound bevels on crown.
This miter saw is perfect Frist off it come with everything you need to start going some don’t. It comes with a saw and a dust collection bag. And I think it is one of the more affordable corded miter saws out there. I’ve tested it and the dust collection seems to work amazing and it doesn’t bog down.
So far I love this saw. It seems well made and we'll designed and I'm glad I sprung for the extra $100 over the other brand low end saw. I really feel like I am using a professional saw when I use it. The base is metal and secures nicely to a stand. You can cut any angle with it, either to the preset detent stops or free wheel and lock down with the screw down handle. So far I've used it for basic framing of SPF and pressure treated and it goes through a 2x4 like it was made of paper. The best feature of a saw like this verses a circular saw is that you can set up a stop block system and make repeated exact cuts which is important for framing. So my only complaint is that the fence back doesn't have holes on the left side so that one can screw a piece of stock to ... MoreSo far I love this saw. I have my own stop block system on a custom stand I made but I don't know why this was excluded.
Hi,I'm not a Dewalt "Fanboy" so this is an honest review.I bought this saw last week on sale for amazing price to replace an old 12" mitre saw. I would still be using that saw but nobody would fix the motor. It worked great and the dust system was amazing!!!I've owned a Festool 10" Kapex, Milwaukee 12" sliding saw with digital readout, Bosch 10" Axial-Glide saw. I only sold these because of the offer's I received. The Dewalt DW713 mitre saw I don't recommend as it's the most basic saw I've ever used and the dust system is complete garbage.I needed to finish a Laminate floor job that was 500 SQ FT between three rooms, I saw it on sale and thought okay this will work. I used a Frued Diablo D1012LF blade that was brand new and made for cutting Laminate. I used a Frued Diablo D1012LF blade that was brand new and made for cutting Laminate. I had more dust on my face then the garbage little bag they provide had (Didn't come branded with Dewalt either) I usually like to have my mitre saw in the room with me and just sweep the little bit of dust up usually. Don't bring this saw indoors for finish trim or laminate floor jobs. The only pro-It's Very easy to carry around, don't worry if you don't have big arms.CONS-Dust system is complete Garbage-Zero Features (No light or laser)It's just a No-trills saw with an expensive price tagI can't return it to Dewalt either as I tossed the box, so now I have a Two hundred & twenty five dollar saw I don't want. Just don't pay retail as it's not worth it.Thank you
This saw does everything that it was intended to do. It was very tolerant of my many errant cuts. The dust bag is only slightly helpful, and it would help if Dewalt did something a little better with Bevel Gage. It’s black and the sawdust coats it such that you have to clean if often. Seems like a better design would make it a little more resistant, but this is really just quibbling. The saw is excellent and it was a great value for the price. I used it for crown molding and base boards and it performed admirably.
