Just finished wearing out regular bits trying to drill into aluminum. Now I think I am ready with this set of titanium bits with the addition of pilot points which should help in drilling into many materials. Another bonus was finding this set on-line on eBay with an exceptional great price.

I bought this set of bits about a year ago to use primarily with my drill press. I'm happy to say that I have absolutely zero complaints with how they've preformed. That being said, I recently dropped and broke the tiny 3/32" bit and wanted to replace it with a new one. Although Dewalt sells several 3/32" bits as individual units, for whatever reason, they don't sell any of the bits in this set. So, if for some reason you break one like I did, you're going to have to either buy a whole new set, or settle for replacing it with something slightly different.

These bits are better than most cheap drill bits you find now days. They are holding up well under moderate usage.
Bought two sets, one for work and one for home shop. Great for wood and metal.
You really get a HEAVY metal box, not a lightweight easy to open plastic case. I couldn't get past the brick-like weight of this and returned them.
I purchased this set of bits with a brand new drill. Using it to put together a set of bunk beds from the mid-sixties. The original Hardware was lost and its arrangement was much different than current-day bunk beds, so I'm having to drill new holes for the hardware.The first hole in one of the side rails caused the drill to seize up and the bit was stuck in the wood. When I finally extracted it the bit was damaged so I tossed it. Today I'm using the 3/8 drill trying to put a hole in the top of one of the posts and I just can't seem to get it to go. I tried the drill at high-speed and low-speed and I've still not getting a hole.
My old set of pilot points has lost some bits and had a few break. I was looking forward to this new set. These are not pilot point bits and are inferior to my old set. They are conventional bits but not what I thought I was ordering.
Who ever thought you could screw up a drill bit? I've been a woodworker for 25 years and have quite a few DeWalt tools. These bits have a twist to them that is too severe. Simply put, the bits grab hold and "screw" themselves into the workpiece. Even with a drill press, if you don;'t use a good hold-down, you will probably damage your workpiece. This is a brand new drill bit set that I think I will need to toss. I have ruined too many pieces trying to use them. I wouldn't even give them away. They are complete junk.
Havent had long enough to give full review on the set. I can say the case is very rugged and seems it will last. Ive used these types of bits in the past and have enjoyed them. Couldnt beat the price
