In one word, impressive.Traditionally I would have used multiple bits and/or replacements. Not the case in this situation.Had to drill apx. 3.5” through a combination of materials i.e. metal skin with wood backing attached to plaster and a masonry material such as cement block or terracotta. In some cases wood, drywall, and metal stud. The bit just drilled trough over and over.In a “multi-material” situation, these bits are a winner. Also used the 1/2” bit a lot.The only downside is that the tip of the bit drills a slightly “3 sided” round hole (somewhat triangular). Just something to keep in mind.

I drilled only 6 holes then the carbide tip broke off rendering the drill bit useless to finish the job! Had to drive to get another bit to finish with! Wasting my time and fuel!! Very upsetting

the Diablo drill bits have become my go to bits. i'm not a professional, so there may be other drill bits that perform as well as these bits do but i haven't found one. I no longer spend time searching for another manufacture, these just work for my needs.

Drilled through reinforce concrete quickly. No travel with the bit recommended. Drilled 6 holes in 10 minutes. No arm fatigue to drill with a hammer drill battery-operated.
Bought this with an impact drill, so I can't say how much of the difference is the bit or the drill. I've been using a standard masonry drill bit with a standard drill to install hardware in the walls of my home. The exterior walls are plaster over hollow tile brick and with my old setup it can take ten minutes and several shots into the face with a punch and hammer to get a useable hole. The new drill and bit knock out a clean hole in about twenty seconds. Hallelujah! I don't have to bear down either, as the impact drill does the work. I never knew that a masonry bit could work so smoothly as it neither hangs nor travels, just digs straight in from wherever you put it. Nice.
I had tried some other tile rated drill bits on a recent project which were a fail. At first try with my drill set on low speed and in drill mode this bit appeared to be a fail, but when I switched to hammer mode and high speed it was an extremely loud cake walk drilling the 4 holes I needed!
I have attached several pictures. This bit was destroyed part way thru drilling the very first hole. What's worth mentioning is that I was up a ladder, drilling these holes into a brick wall, so I wasn't able bear down on the bit like if I was drilling into a floor, I couldn't put much weight on the drill without pushing myself away from the wall. This is a typical brick wall, not 8000psi concrete. Head of the drill just mushroomed. I finished the job with some cheap no name bits that I happened to have on hand.
Not good for metal. Planned to this to make multiple holes in 1/8" diamond plate. It took an eternity. Switch to a cheap kobalt bit from TSC and it went much faster. I'm usually a fan of Diablo products, but this should not be advertised as a metal cutting bit.
The product stated that it could drill through metal. I attempted to do that and the drill bit would not go through the metal. Very disappointed, but the cost of the bit was well below other bits stating the same thing. I bought another bit from a different company and it didn't work either.
