If you've ever used an oscillating tool before and hit a nail, you'll know that a general purpose blade isn't really made to cut metal. It will wear the teeth down to nothing in no time. That's why I was glad to have this blade in my toolbox. It has a universal design so I will work with most oscillating tool brands. I tried it out on a drywall screw in a board and it was able to cut it off without much trouble. Wasn't fast, but it did cut it. There was some wear on the teeth, but if you can work the blade back and forth to evenly distribute the wear, I think it will last longer. It says the carbide blade lasts up to 50 times longer than other blades, but that is kind of a vague claim I guess. I like that it has inch markings so you can tell how deep you are cutting.

I bought this blade to use to remove a chain link fence. I needed to cut through some 2" metal piping and some rusted bolts. After the first few cuts I was pleased at the speed of the blade. Visual inspection of the blade showed that the teeth still looked quite sharp. But after less than two dozen cuts I saw the blade throwing off some sparks and there was a visible heating of the metal I was cutting. I withdrew the blade to find that the teeth of the blade had ripped off. I would not recommend this blade given it's lifespan, when used on materials matching the manufacturer guidance, is about 20 cuts.

This Swiss made metal cutting blade works great for cutting metal they make nice clean cuts and have high performance carbide teeth to last a long time. Universal fit so you can use them on a lot of different brand oscillating saws. I use reclaimed wood in some of my projects and this works great for braking down the wood to use this has saved my table saw blade a lot of wear. 1 ¼’’ width and 1 ½’’ depth work for cutting down pallets etc. Make sure you wear the correct safety protection when using any tool. Like all Diablo tools they work for me. Get them and other great Diablo tools at Home Depot They Work For Me

I purchased this to try to cut a bolt in an awkward location. Before I had even established the cut the teeth were gone. I had expected it to last for the one awkward bolt but was disappointed that it couldn't even establish the cut. Money wasted.
The DIABLO 1-1/4 Universal Fit Carbide Oscillating Blade for metal has several features that seemed to work well. The blade has two depth scales on the plunge part of the blade which allows one to determine the depth of its reach into the work. The cutting blade is spot welded onto the tool attachment end. The tool is set up to work with two sizes of multitools. The end-most attachment fits the Dewalt tool that I use. The bottom attachment works on Dremel brand tools as well as others. The tool worked well to cut nails flush with board stock. It has the advantage over grinders in that it does not build up heat.
Usually diablo is my go to for saw blades so i went with these cause i knew they would be amazing... had the complete opposite experience to say the least. Only got through about 12 standard roofing nails and the teeth started to chip and break off. If i had paid $5 a blade l'd understand cause you get what you pay for, but at almost $20 a blade?!?! And these are supposed to be the special fancy ones designed specifically for metal. Massive let down. Save your hard earned money.
I bought this to use on my Ryobi Oscillating tool. I had a kitchen faucet that had an old rusty nut holding it on from underneath the sink and I could not loosen the nut. My idea was to cut through the metal above and this tool did the trick. The universal fit for Ryobi was perfect. The only recommendation is not to use it at top speed. I cut the speed down to half and it cut beautifully. Saved the job and my back!!
I got these Diablo blades from Home Depot and recognized the brand because I use their round saw blades. I’m always looking for a better saw blade to help me on my jobs. In testing these blades, I really need clean cuts, to reduce the burrs and also have a controllable and durable blade. The metal blade is thicker by roughly 50% of the other brands of plunge blades and are carbide. On my Ridgid tool these blades can be mounted in 2 different lengths. The thicker blade showed less wear at the end of the test than I expected. I’m happy with these blades
This blade is designed for metal and has limited use in soft materials, like wood or plastic as the teeth are very small, cuttings will not be removed fast enough and it will start to burn rather than cut efficiently. We tried it on nails and screws - it works extremely well. Compared to other carbide tipped blades, the carbide section is thicker, which should cause less wear. The carbide section appears to be e-beam welded to the blade, which should provide a rugged bond. The blade has two features for installing on almost any Multitool.Cutting through a nail or decking screw was quick.
I have used a number of carbide blades. My favorite ones were out of stock, and although these were a bit more expensive, I decided to give them a try. Sometimes you roll the dice and you lose. I lost. I have used plenty of other blades by Diablo and found them quite good. These were pathetic. One of the three blades lasted exactly one cut before 1/4 of the teeth simple fell off. I was only cutting siding nails (old square cut nails) and they were not particularly hard steel as they were quite old. There are other blades out there for less money that outlast these by 10x. Seriously.
