Super love my Dickies. These the only pants I wear 365 days of the year, unless I am forced to do something silly and fancy and am forced to wear some fancy pants. I buy two pairs each two years. I understand the price has gone up a bit, not too bad. Seem to last me about 1.5-2 years depending how hard I use them.I work as a Restoration Manager as well as Private Nature Guide, so half in the office half in the field. I need my pants to look good to the office folks and my tour guests, but still be strong enough for the manual labor work out in the field supervising my work crews. Dickies have been my go to for many years, will never change unless you change how you make them. Great quality for the price, great look. Thanks!

Buyer beware!!! While all the basics that once made these carpenter jeans great still apply -i.e. fabric weight, triple-stitched seams, etc., there are serious construction flaws and errors in the latest pairs purchased!!! To wit: all waistbands of most recent pairs have weave oriented along wrong bias resulting in waistbands which stretch out when placed under load (checkable in-store, and I SHOULD have checked them but it's such a basic construction principle you don't really think mistakes that would happen; grab two belt loops and pull -if the waistband stretches, put 'em back on the shelf and walk away), left leg of two pairs have something wrong with them which causes the seam to migrate to front of shin after roughly forty steps -and the absolutely best part ... MoreBuyer beware!!! Guess what? Not returnable under Dickies warranty. I don't know what happened between the last pairs I bought and this latest batch but BUYER BEWARE. I'll be checking every pair from here on out and if the waistband issue isn't corrected, this latest batch my well be the last purchase of these jeans I'll ever make. I mean....maybe it's just me, but when I buy a pair of jeans that's supposed to have an advertised 34" waist and the waistband **WHICH IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE STRETCHY AT ALL** stretches out to somewhere around 38"-40", it's off-putting to say the least. You lost me, Dickies, and this is probably where we part ways forever.

The classic case of 'If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT'. Who was the genius who removed the side utility pocket onleft side of the pants below the hammer loop? That's where I put one of the most used tools I carry: a utility knife.I'm left handed so it fit perfect and extended far enough so it was always in reach. An otherwise quality work pantrendered somewhat useless.

Pants are well made, good quality, heavyweight material. Sizing is way off. Having read other reviews about waist running slightly small, decided 38 inch waist pants for son measuring 37 inches should be perfect. Guess "relaxed" fit means a lot more relaxed than we anticipated. Even washing and drying a couple of times these pants swallow him alive. He has a good belt, so we will keep them. Will think hard about sizing next time we need to order.
Love my Dickies carpenter pants and then wear them all the time especially like them for that pocket that can slide my smartphone into very securely. but what plays me with Dickies and it's only Dickies I have this problem with is my front pockets wear thin and get holes in them and I lose my change as well as other things that happen to be in that pocket. I read about this before and it seems like a simple fix heavier cotton material for the pocket lining or pockets. I can't see that it would add that great an expense to be a prohibitive fixPlease take care of this issue because it is the only problem I have and continue to have with my favorite jeans. ... they always seem to wear at the very lowest point in the pocket probably where the change sits and rubs ... MoreLove my Dickies carpenter pants and then wear them all the time especially like them for that pocket that can slide my smartphone into very securely. but what plays me with Dickies and it's only Dickies I have this problem with is my front pockets wear thin and get holes in them and I lose my change as well as other things that happen to be in that pocket. I would recommend this price a friend but advising about pockets.I will try to find some of those pics and send them in a similar product complete the next time I have a chance
Hello -Long time construction customer of your carpenter duck workwear. I like the heavy weight carpenter pants as well as the short and long sleeved tees. Fit is always consistent and the sizes are within my 32" x 30" inseam as is the medium size for my shirts. Short of ordering a custom size 29" inseam (which I doubt is possible) I will continue to order your products. Also - thanks for the beanie! It will be a stocking stuffer for someone.
Heavyweight Duck material IS heavyweight! Well made, finish quality is excellent. I really like the button through hole enclosure, instead of a snap type. Pockets are deep & spacious. Delivery was prompt. What drove this purchase for me was the fact that these Heavyweight Duck Carpenter pants came in a 30 waist 34 inseam. I had purchased Dickies cargo paints with the heavyweight Duck material, but the longest inseam in a 30 waist is 32; I love them but never was truly happy with the short inseam. I own five pair of regular-fit Dickies 874 classic work pants in 30 x 34 & love them. Now I have these wonderful heavy-duty carpenter pants in 30 x 34!!! I just wish the cargo version of these pants were offered in 30 x 34.
I've purchased these Relaxed Fit Heavyweight Duck Carpenter Pants for the past couple years and have always been satisfied with the fit, color options, and especially the fact that my iPhone Pro Max with an Otter Box cover fits perfectly in the side pocket. Now, regarding the side pocket, if Dickies could just follow suit with the Relaxed Fit Heavyweight Carpenter Jeans, that would be great, but I have about (5) pairs of the Jeans and the side pocket is too narrow and will not accept my phone without removing the Otter Box cover. Disappointing as I wear the Jeans more often than the Ducks and need the Otter Box cover as I'm in construction.COME ON DICKIES, GET IT TOGETHER. PLEASE!!!
I didn't buy off website, but the local farm store.I'm disappointed in the quality. Forever, Dickies has been known as the workwear powerhouse.I've owned these pants for 3 months. I don't do a horrendously physical job, but enough that I needed quality work wear. The croch has already worn through on these, and squatting down just today blew a bigger hole.A number of those self conscious questions went through my mind, did I buy the right size, am I wearing them too much, did I put on weight. But nothing is different from other pants I own and these blew out quick. The comfort and utility is great. I'm just sad that they didn't last as long as their reputation seems to say.
Ordered carpenters pants about a month ago. The same ones I have been ordering for the last 15 years. returned because they were both an inch too small. Reordered same pants and one pair came an inch too small and the other 10 inches too big. Returned those today and will reorder again. There is no option to add a note requesting a check for true to size fitting. Thanks
