I have been wearing Dickies 2XLT Short Sleeve heavyweight tee shirts for 10 years that I have been buying from Walmart. They fit my 6'3" 240 pound frame perfectly - even after years of washing and being in the dryer. So I made the mistake of buying what I thought was the identical product in the identical 2XLT size from the Dickies website. What a mistake. The shirt that arrived is at least two sizes too small and it is certainly not a Tall size. I called customer service and was told a different manufacturer makes the Dickie shirts available at Walmart. And since I already washed it they would not accept a return. It's definitely a quality shirt but no exaggeration they run VERY SMALL and I would need at least 4XLT to fit me.

Ordered four medium shirts. As it seems the country of manufacture leads to noticable discrepancies between fit and quality, I'll also say they were made in Mexico. I normally wear a large, but even in a medium, these Dickies shirts fit me like an extra large or double XL in length, and the shoulder seam rests similar to an extra large. The sleeves aren't the most comfortable construction; moving my arms pulls on the shirt in an odd way, like there's not enough material in the underarm area. Could be the fabric is still stiff from the factory and needs breaking in or a couple washes? They definitely deserve a wash before use due to their chemical smell. Wearing them however, the fabric isn't noticably uncomfortable. It's heavyweight and feels stiff is all. I would ... MoreOrdered four medium shirts. I would recommend buying two sizes below your normal size, unless you know how Dickies shirts fit and you're satisfied with the extra length. I like the simple design and affordable price.

Got my first ever supply of t-shirts from dickies. I had been for many years buying from their top competitor (no names please). All I can say is, I am impressed. The fit is fine. The only downside I've noticed is the pockets are a tiny bit smaller than the competitors and they're one size off. Dickies 4XL tall is the same as a 3XL tall from the competitor, so if you're used to buying 3XL tall from the other guy, go with 4XL tall and you will be pleased. Other than that, the colors are brilliant and beautiful and the fit is good. A slightly lighter weight material, but very comfortable nonetheless.

I bought six of these in 2XLT when they were on sale a while back. I absolutely love the way they fit, they fit better than any tee I've ever owned. They shrink up a bit if you're not careful about how you wash them, but that actually makes them fit better. I'm 6' 1" and 275 lbs, and I have trouble finding shirts that fit well; normal 2XL shirts are always too short after they shrink, and most 2XLT shirts are way too long. After shrinking a bit, these fit exactly how I've always wanted a shirt to fit. Initially, I couldn't have been happier with them. However, these things get grease/oil stains like nothing I've ever seen. It's ridiculous. If you cook in them, they'll stain. If you work on a car, they'll stain. Drop a bit of mayonnaise on them? Instant stain. ... MoreI bought six of these in 2XLT when they were on sale a while back. I absolutely love the way they fit, they fit better than any tee I've ever owned. Instant stain. Accidentally touched your shirt with a bit of 3-in-1 oil on your hands? You best believe it stained. And not only do they stain absurdly easily, the stains are impossible to get out. Every single one of them that I bought had grease stains on it by the third time I wore it. It's a real shame, because I would have been buying these for the rest of my life if it hadn't been for that. So unless you're either never even in the same room with anything oily or you're buying these strictly as work shirts and you don't care how they end up looking, I can't recommend them at all. I'm now stuck with six shirts that I can only wear if I'm gonna get dirty anyway. I gave them one star in value because I feel like they're way too expensive for shirts that you can't wear in public after one wear.
Dickies heathered heavyweight tees have a GREAT look to them, and they fit great. However, I'm guessing that adding polyester is the only way to achieve the heathered look, since all their heathered tees are a 50/50 cotton-poly blend, as opposed to their solid-color ones, which are all 100% cotton. I've worked in factories all my life, and it seems that Dickies' heathered tees don't hold up quite as well as their solid-cotton ones, especially when running a press brake and handling sharp sheet metal all day. Small rips and tears show up sooner on the heathered tees than on their all-cotton ones. Being a poly blend, the breathability compared to an all-cotton tee isn't quite there, either; although I will admit it's not bad compared to some other cotton/poly tees ... MoreDickies heathered heavyweight tees have a GREAT look to them, and they fit great. Being a poly blend, the breathability compared to an all-cotton tee isn't quite there, either; although I will admit it's not bad compared to some other cotton/poly tees I've had. They do seem to insulate well under a hoodie or crew-neck sweatshirt, though, since there's still enough cotton to do the job. And they don't wrinkle quite as fast as a cotton shirt, so you don't need to fish them out of the dryer as soon as it stops like you do an all-cotton shirt. Otherwise they run true-to-size like the rest of their heavyweight pocket tees, and they look great. All around, I'd recommend the poly-blend heathered shirts more for play and non-work situations--especially if you like the look--and stick with Dickies' all-cotton tees for work. The drawbacks of a poly blend is what keeps me from giving 5 stars; otherwise, they're some of the best cotton-poly shirts out there for the money.
First purchase of Dickies tee shirts and find them to be very good quality. Heavy cloth, seams are well sewn. If I have one complaint it would be that the pocket is slightly narrow due to the built in pencil pocket. My new iPhone 13 barely fits within the pocket and is the only reason I buy pocketed tee shirts. But since it does fit it will be fine. These are much better quality than the Fruit of the Loom I bought on Amazon previously and even better than the JC Penny Reserve I bought in store and on line. Seeing as I bought them on a BOGO sale the price was also very good. Time will tell how these will do after repeated washings but they appear to be a quality item so I expect them to last.
I've been looking for heavy duty 100% cotton T-shirts since my current shirts are becoming worn out. Comfortable, but pretty much used up. Some of the other major brands are a mix of cotton and something else, not what I prefer. And quite expensive. An ad popped up for Dickies T-shirts priced 2 for $25- Heavyweight 100% cotton, just what I was looking for. Ordered 2, and was pleasantly surprised they were exactly what I was looking for. An added bonus is the pocket. They are truly Heavyweight cotton, and I ordered 2 more for the same $25. I believe these will last a very long time, and only get better with repeated washings. The fit is excellent, and to be safe, I won't put them in the dryer...just in case. Try 'em, you'll like 'em.
Reviewing Dickies LT heavyweight pocket t-shirtI am 6’ 4” 205 lbs, 16” neck, 34 waist, 34 inseam, (tall, average build), construction work.Been buying Dickies t-shirts for 10 years. I currently own 23 plus some long sleeves. The large/tall size has suddenly, drastically changed. These shirts have always been my go-to work shirt as well as a casual everyday shirt.Being above average height, without a “tall” size choice I am sometimes forced to buy an extra large shirt to get the length I need. This results in a big boxy potato sack looking t-shirt with a neck sized for a horse. The Dickies brand LT has always been plenty long in the sleeve, even a little too long in the body of the shirt. Their regular large size is a little too short for me. Their regular large size is a little too short for me. I own a few and have to stretch them forcefully before wearing them. The neck is the smallest I've found. The competitors' necks are way oversized. The new sleeves are 2 inches shorter than the old.The new body of the shirt is about 4 inches in diameter bigger than the old.The new shirt is about an inch shorter in length. The neck seems similar. The fabric feels hotter. (Could just be me, I have no way to measure this)The old one was made in Pakistan and the new one in Mexico.I would bet that taller people would, on average, have longer arms. To shorten the sleeves of a short sleeve shirt by 2 inches and still call it a Tall is quite a stretch. This new shirt size is more along the lines of an XL/S (short)I’m not happy to write a negative review and have been a fan of Dickies for a long time, but to have a private conversation with the CEO was not an option presented to me on this site.I've begun shopping elsewhere.
Because they had bigger dudes modeling this shirt, I took a chance at it. The fit is good, if a little loose around the arms, the fabric is a heavier weight, so I expect a long life. I won't call the t-shirt "soft" but it doesn't feel like I'm wearing some kind of burlap sac or penitent hair shirt, which is the #1 problem with any clothes designed for men. This shirt was comfortable right out of the package. Definitely will get more. Not relevant to this item, but I was originally shopping for the red Eisenhower jacket. What gives, Dickies? Why are all the men's coats in boring colors?
The heavyweight is indeed a heavier weight t-shirt than the ones I usually purchase. Prolly wear them in cooler weather; not in the summer heat. The pocket has a pen/pencil area which reduces the interior size of the pocket. This makes the pocket almost too small for my cell phone. I will not buy pocket Tees in the future which have the pen/pencil slot. No problem with the TV remotes, but my cell phone is sorta hard to put in the pocket cuz the pocket is smaller. The t-shirts have held up very well to their first washing & drying. My only regret is the cloth is a heavier material....as advertised!
