I love Dickies in general but these pants are amazing. They are my go to when I don't know what to wear, or just want to be comfy. They come stiff, don't be shocked, wash them a couple times and wear them and they quickly break in. I was surprised how quickly they break in because my dad(who only wears the men 874 pant and has over 10 pairs) told me they would take a while. Also the sizing was good for me because I am a size 4 on the big size but wanted for these to fit for a while so I ordered a 6. I use a belt because I like the look anyway so it worked out well. Sorry if I rambled, I just love Dickies.

I'm usually a size 4 and ordered these in a 2 and a 4. Both fit great. If you're looking for a comfortable but more slim fit, size down. If you're looking for a trendy, oversized look, I would definitely just recommend ordering whatever you usually order. I'm 5'8" and around 130 pounds. I have an athletic build and not much curves, so I struggle sometimes to find high waisted pants that will fit my straighter waist comfortably (usually I need to size up if it's high waisted). Great quality. I cut mine with a pair of scissors so they'd look frayed and cropped with boots.

I bought these pants a couple weeks ago now and they’re great. They’re comfy, on baggy side if your into that great you’ll love them, super thick material feels really durable but does crease when kept a certain way for to long (sitting/kneeling down for long periods of time). Does run kinda small round the waist like others say so would go a size or 2 up than usual, leg is a little longer than usual to. However is really overpriced you can get the exact same pants for almost half the price on the dickies website.

Some reviews say to size down and still others say to size up which really confused me when I was purchasing. But it looks like the confusion comes from the sizing guide which adjusts the reference based on various body types, specifically "Regular", "Curvy", and "Plus". I bought based on the "Regular" size guide which I found to be true to size. I did tailor in the waist a bit which is typical for me and I'm very happy with the results. But if I had purchased the size based on the "Curvy" chart they provided the pants might have fit better in the waist but been too tight in the hips and thighs. There's very little stretch in this poly/cotton twill, so there's little room for error here. There's very little stretch in this poly/cotton twill, so there's little room for error here. I recommend buying whichever size would fit your largest feature using the "regular" sizing chart and have them tailored in the other areas. They are worth the effort. When fit properly they are great all-purpose pants. Or choose instead one of Dickies Flex pants which will offer a more forgiving material.
Runs larger than measurements in size guide. BUT, if you’re like me who doesn’t like the cold, then these fit fantastically with tights or thinner sweats like joggers. They are still stiff but flexible and feel like they’re going to last a while. I’m 5-2 and 175, and my weight is pretty spread out, but these fit from my waist through my thighs. Baggy but it’s not ridiculous. Covers my shoes but doesn’t drag. Definitely worn with a belt but it feels comfy with joggers when those mornings are just too cold. These feel like they will last but I will definitely buy again when the time comes.
I really wanted to like the pants, great quality! But they are huge. I measured myself according to the guidelines. Ordered 6. I am 5’3 and 120lbs. I have a thin waist and thick tights and bigger bum. I could fit in them two times, lengthwise too. Had to return. Super easy return. I will buy them again at the store if I can try it on. Will fit tall and boyish type of bodies I guess.
I love Dickie’s, and I love the look of this design, but it just doesn’t fit at all. I’ve bought Dickie’s before and even remeasured myself, but the waist was ridiculously big and unflattering. I proportionally actually have a pretty large waist, so I was surprised to have these fit my thighs and hips fine but not the waist. Literally no part of the waist even touches my body. Also, as a short 5’2 girl, I got the short cut, and the length was fine, but the waist is so high. And I only wear high waisted pants! But it almost reaches up to my mid ribs lol. Definitely not proportioned for me. Will return :(
I wanted a straight fit pant and I had high hopes that these pants would fit my butt, so I was pretty excited when I ordered them. Unfortunately they fit pretty badly for me. I ordered a 2/26 Short. This was the smallest and shortest size available. It doesn't make any sense to me that there are no smaller sizes available in Women's 874s, considering how large they fit on me. Now I admit that I am not a particularly tall, curvy, or thick woman, but I'm not a particularly short, entirely curveless, or 90s-era model skinny woman either. For context: I'm 5'5" with a runner's build. My calves and booty have grown to be just too powerful for my old pre-running-days "skinny cut" pants. My calves and booty have grown to be just too powerful for my old pre-running-days "skinny cut" pants. I wanted the pants to fit like they fit the person in the photos online, but I think they must have clipped the pants to make them look the way they do. Those photos were a far cry from reality for me.I did my part to try to order the right size for my body, I really did. I measured myself according to the instructions Dickies provided and compared with the size chart. Based on other reviewer's input, I chose to size down and order a short rather than a regular. Some folks said they fit true to size, which made me worry that sizing down was a mistake. It wasn't a mistake. It was a mistake not to go even further (but, in my case, Dickies doesn't make a smaller size than the one I ordered). The waist is loose, the length is comically long, and the butt is a disaster. FEMA needs to respond to these pants.Waist: Even though I sized down, I could comfortably lose another two inches or so in the waist before needing to worry about wearing these to a buffet lunch.Length: They're super long. To be clear, these "short" pants are longer than regular pants in any other brand I've ever purchased. I had to cuff the pants twice to make them wearable and three times if I wanted them to stop at the ankle. You will almost certainly need to hem or cuff these pants.Booty: They fit like parachute pants around the lower butt. They do not fit even remotely like what I saw in the photos online. They fit okay (loose, but comfortable) around the top of the booty, but they are unreasonably baggy around my lower booty and top of leg area. There is so much extra material there that I don't feel comfortable walking in them. I can feel the pants hanging far away from me in this bizarre way that I don't know how to describe, but ONLY in the lower butt and upper leg area. Below that, they are looser than I would like but not nearly as disconcerting. I know they are not a slim fit pant and I didn't want a slim fit pant, but this is baggy and the photo does not reflect that.TLDR: The Dickies Women's 874 runs large in just about every way. Its cardinal sin is the extreme bagginess around the butt and upper leg. If you want to purchase these without trying them on, size down at least one size (one wasn't enough for me) and length option (if you're a regular, order a short) and expect to cuff or hem the pants on top of that. If you can, order several size options (your expected size and smaller) and return what doesn't work so you don't have to play the exchange game. Finally, unless you are blessed in the behind, I cannot recommend these to folks with runner's builds unless (A) you are looking for really baggy pants or (B) your regular size (per the size chart) is at least a 6, since this will give you the freedom to size down up to two sizes if needed.
I am 5’5.5 and 130lbs, usually a size 4-6. I originally bought a 6R but they were actually huge. Then I returned and got a 4R thinking they would be good, but they just did not look very flattering, like they were loose enough for me to do the top rolled over look but that made it look all pouchy under. So I returned and got a 2R (which sounds crazy to me because I am always 4-6) and finally.. my perfect fit. I can’t do the top roll over look but they fit so nicely as just regular, really sleek looking pants. I will be ordering more colors once I get my hands on them! just great timeless pieces to have. also, if you order these pants and they’re so uncomfortable and stiff but they seem to be the right fit, you just need to wash them a few times and they actually do ... MoreI am 5’5.5 and 130lbs, usually a size 4-6. these pants have to have been designed by men who have no idea how women are actually shaped. i’m pretty tall (5’8) and the regular length pants are SO absurdly long, i have to cuff them like 3 times. which never happens to me.the hip and waist measurements on these pants are almost exactly same, so when i put them on there’s a huge gap in the waist.and as a thick thigh girl, i wish the thigh part of the pants was a little roomier so that they look like more of a straight/ tapered leg like they do in the picsi’m keeping them because they look great and i can make it work with a belt, but i was definitely expecting better:(
