I purchased this Miracast dongle specifically to extend my Windows PC desktop onto a Sony Bravia TV. I admit I made the purchase before I realised I could use Chromecast from my browser to cast my whole desktop. My mistake. The dongle was easy enough to install with the HDMI plug and USB power source. Setup was pretty straight forward too. Performance was well below my expectations. I had expected some lag at any resolution, but there is frequent digital glitching that would appear to be bandwidth or hardware related. I had the WiFi antenna in direct line of sight to my router at a range of about 5M so I wouldn't blame the network. I don't think it's defective, I think it's just bad hardware.
