I adore eau Capitale and anything chypre and tried this in my local SpaceNK and loved it. It has an old fashioned, powdery scent that is unlike my Byredo or Serge Lutens fragrances. Each Diptyque fragrance is a wonderful discovery, reminiscent of my childhood but brand new at the same time. And they never disappoint, simply yet beautifully packaged, understated yet memorable, it is everything a signature fragrance should be.

I was actually at my local Nordstrom checking out some Tom Ford that was on sale when this random guy (probably a Nordstrom plant) told my lady and I about this brand with and interesting name. We were still deciding on Tom Ford when he came back with a sample so we decided to check them out. I ended up buying this one as my lady liked it. Smells great as it settles into a clean smell after a while, but it does not last very long for the price tag. I have several bottle of Tom Ford that last me all day using the exact same routine with a shower, non smelling lotion and application at pulse points with a couple of sprays. Even the Tom Ford my lady wears lasts all night...although she probably squirts on more than me. For the price, I think it should last longer. ... Diptyque truly excells in creating an atmosphere that they aims. Orphéon does smell like mature (meaning grown up, not 'old' as a derogatory as you often see in perfume reviews) bohemians.The word Bohemians here has to be plural, because the scent has both male and female.To my surprise, Orphéon reminds me of Royal Princess Oud by Creed.The cool wood, together with the translucent flowers and the sweet yet clean powder, gives me a similar impression.I really love Orphéon!I could wear this day and night, any occasion.On me it has a moderate longevity, around 5 hours. Its spillage is just right. I don't think it fills a room.I am also completely happy with MECCA's service.Thanks for the quick dispatch and the lovely sample.
A $200 disappointment. The store clerk gave me some samples that included Orpheon Eau de Parfum and needless to say, I loved it. It smelled different from any other parfum I have, and it stayed on the entire day which is important to me. This bottle of Orpheon does not have the same fragrance inside. It is impossible. In my experience some perfumeries make their samples stronger and nicer and not the same as the real thing. But I truly expect so much more from the little boutique in Paris that has been around forever.
Tried it on in the store to see how it would smell on me after an hour. OMG I was so obsessed w/ it. I didn't even take a shower the next day because I could still smell it. Well I promptly purchased it online and anxiously awaited its arrival. BIG FAIL. It's the same scent but it's much lighter and goes away very quickly. It's been 3 hours since I generously sprayed it and I can barely get a whiff with my nose pressed up against my arm. When I tried it in the store I smelled it 24 hours later and hadn't even sprayed as much. I saw another review said the same thing so now I'm wondering what's going on. I'll be returning it. Soooo disappointed as I absolutely loved it in the store.

I literally stopped someone in a bar when I smelt this. I've not smelt anything quite so unique in a very long time. Stunning, show stopping smell for all the right reasons. I've since had people stop and ask me what I have on. This was my first purchase from Diptyque and it won't be last. I'm definitely putting the Rose one on my Xmas list next. Just a beautiful perfume that makes me happy every time I put it on. My new favourite brand.

It's a lingering smell that people notice once you pass them or enter a room. i received this in a discovery set and have been trying it out ever since.this is a really interesting and unique perfume. Theres something cool, like cold white chalky soap powder in this perfume. Thats the main vibe together with juniper berries. i think this berry note reminds me of the raspberry note in lncomes la nuit tresor. i dont always do well with berry notes. this one feels sharp and can give me a headache if i inhale it too much.not sure if i will invest in a full bottle just yet but i do like the clean powdery soap aspect of it.
