This is a 50ML of Diptyque eau Duelle EDT. I will start with saying I am so open to the world of parfum. I try not to box myself into a particular blend of notes. Fragrances like this is why I love this openness about myself. I have heard/watch reviews on this time time again ...they do no justice to scent on skin. At first spray I got this airy, freshness, wind of balsam pine. As the pine developes it gets louder but with a kick of citrus some spice. Yes, pine needles, zest of bergamot, pepper. I actually enjoy it. It is bright kind of like "Holiday Cheer"...so I feel. Then the pines calm but stay in the near background as this sweetness enters. It's gentle with a whisper of green, almost pear like but not pear like...almost green apple like but not. Its sweet, ... MoreThis is a 50ML of Diptyque eau Duelle EDT. Its sweet, green, soft, still a bit brite. I get the cardamom vanilla as I enter the dry down it is soooooooo dayum gooooood! It is cardamom leading with the vanilla wrap around it. They are equal parts for a period of time then the vanilla takes the lead. Now we have this soft, fluffy, cloud of vanilla. The vanilla is yummy plays with the saffron on a powdery cloud that I can assume is the musk. This musk is beautiful. It is absolutely captivating. I can not stop smelling my hand. At different moments of the dry down, I can actually catch a soft scent bubble of the opening pines. It is such a unique vanilla. OMG, I can NOT keep my nose off my hand 😂🤣 I just know I will get great wear as we enter the "Holiday" run. She is definitely coming with me when I pick up my Christmas tree. THAT'S IT! She is everything I imagine Colorado to be during the holidays!!! The cold, clean, crisp breeze in the air. You hear it pass through the leaves of various tall green trees thick burgundy woods. A mount of fresh fallen snow that lights up outside our huge panoramic window view. The warm, cozy attire thick knits. An oversized, soft cashmere blanket to wrap yourself in while holding nice warm, vanilla drink of something something... with marshmallows of course, Lol. Oh how I can't wait to rent a cabin do Christmas in Colorado. Diptyque eau Duelle is Christmas in Colorado! Everything Winter is meant to be!

This is one of those scents that I was told I would absolutely love as someone who appreciates vanilla perfume but doesn't like the cloying sweetness that often accompanies it. I was sent a sample of Eau Duelle in both the EDT and EDP form and I'm glad I didn't blind buy bottles of either. They are both very nice, but I struggle to detect much vanilla in them. I find both formulas to be quite "green" in nature, with spicy/herbal undertones. Maybe Patchouli? I'm not sure. I don't have a sophisticated nose so I can't say for sure, but I definitely don't love how these mix with my skin chemistry. Almost a medicinal sense, which isn't for me. Also, this is quite strong! A little goes a very long way and lasts all day. I guess I was disappointed because so many described ... Not for me, but still quite pleasant if you like fresh, green scents. The woodsy notes are domineering (kind of like rosemary or pine?).

This is truly such a beautiful, warm, spicy, green vanilla! This surprisingly reminds me so much of babycat, particularly in the opening. In the dry down that kind of goes away and you get more of a soft sweet, easy to enjoy vanilla. The vanilla is not gourmand or overly sweet. It’s definitely a different take on vanilla, more green, but not in an off-putting way whatsoever. The scent has really soft edges, nothing too sharp or overwhelming and very easy to enjoy. It’s a little boozy, a little peppery, all sweetened up by a beautiful, ethereal vanilla. Lasts long on my skin with a moderate projection and has a beautiful scent bubble trail.

This beauty just arrived today. I’ve been waiting for it to get here for about two weeks. I have a discovery set of the toilette version. I adore this perfume. Hands down, this is my favorite vanilla, and I have quite a few! The first note I smell is the resin, which is incredibly smooth and rounded, and then there's a bit of greenness from the juniper. To my nose, everything is so well blended here, I can't really pick apart the smells too much. This perfume is such an easy reach, and you can wear it without feeling like it's generic. The vibe that I get with this perfume is a little woodland fairy that's got the tiniest dash of sweetness, but mixed with earthiness and woodiness. This feels like being enveloped in a cozy hug during the winter, but I could see this being used during cooler nights in the summer. Absolute love.
A beautiful beautiful fragrance ! I am in love. It’s the perfect mix of woody, resinous incense and dry, unsweetened yet still gourmand vanilla and it lasts FOREVER. The first spray smells a little like rice paper but quickly fades to reveal the beauty it is underneath. It’s spicy, it’s warm, it’s clean, it’s musky, it’s airy, it’s sexy, it’s inviting YET mysterious, it’s vampiric, it’s sultry…..A dream, really ! Just utterly perfect. It does have an old library vibe as some have mentioned. Not to mention that it’s suitable for any season and unapologetically unisex. I would say it really suits who I am as a person. Longevity is great, sillage is a little more on the discreet side but It’s perfect that way. The packaging is GORGEOUS. It’s so elegant, luxurious and ... MoreA beautiful beautiful fragrance ! Absolutely worth buying.
As a vanilla hater, Eau Duelle was the only perfume that changed my view (For the better) on vanilla fragrances. It's a rich, spicy vanilla that's not cloying or too sweet, but instead wonderfully intoxicating. As it dries down, it imparts a beautiful smokiness with a hint of sweetness.Unfortunately, the performance leaves much to be desired. The sillage is poor, and it doesn't last long on my skin. I'd rate it a 3.5 because of this.Wonderful scent, sucky performance.
Absolutely obsessed with this fragrance. I usually enjoy fragrances with warm vanilla, patchouli and sexy sophisticated earthy vibes. Eau Duelle isn’t offensive or overly woodsy; unisex but leans heavily feminine. Beautiful for close encounters and cozy situations like the office and intimate dates. If you love Vanilla based fragrances, I recommend it.Unfortunately it doesn’t last for more than a couple hours, which I find extremely disappointing. It’s pricy for a Parfum, especially for one that only lasts a couple hours. Absolutely NO longevity. I didn’t find other reviews mentioning this issue so maybe I received an older bottle… ?

By chance, after years of buying Diptyque candles for myself and others, I finally noticed that these are paraffin, a petroleum derivative. I see no point in avoiding VOCs and other forms of carcinogens, and then burning a candle that's a petroleum derivative. I’m disappointed in Diptyque and Nordstrom for selling something like this when there are safer non-carcinogenic soy and beeswax candles.
